Chapter 14 - All fail. The Tricolor Magnet Village 3

The teacher fell into silence for a bit. Then relaxed his face as much as he could. And smiled to his dear students.

"My silly little chicks, before we start, I want to know is there any daredevils among you, who want to show their abilities to me ?"

Nobody was any longer surprised by the way he referred to them. Nobody felt warm feelings deep inside, rather was opposite.. They have managed to hear enough of this kind of references - my cute piglets, my horses, five km per hour, my monkey special forces, my soft-hearted dogs and so on.

"Is everyone from Wana family like this?" Charlotte had a complaining expression turning to Elvina. She was the same girl with the charming features and the medium-length wavy hairs, though her beauty couldn't withstand a contention with Elvina's. Let's imagine Charlotte Turbo to be a beautiful wooden boat, then Elvina Wana would be a beautiful, spacious yacht; they, both, could carry people, even though the differences between them are like chalk and cheese.

The cold princess of Wana family silently shook her head. She couldn't help, but to memorize how, once, Wana Tsukushi Tabachi almost had caught her, when she was doing her bad things with the metals.

"Better to keep a distance." She still felt anxiety mixed with a dreadful feeling of hypocrisy.

As expected, soon the teacher's sensible voice rang out across the area.

"Alright, as no one volunteered, I am going to choose randomly. After he pointed to a guy.

"Hatrick, come and show us the true heights of life."

Did he notice my behavior and that's why did choose me ? Then Hatrick realized that the thing he referred to be the reason behind the choice wasn't appropriate enough.

"Oh, almost forgot! Bring your buddy along too. What was his name.. Brand ?"

At this point, Brandon became disappointed, while Hatrick smirked as he usually likes.

"When we managed to become so closely connected?" Bred's thoughts grew turbulent for a moment. Hatrick, of course, was normal guy, albeit he behaved often half-wittedly, which wasn't noticeable, unless one interacts with him personally for a while as Bred did.

For example, now, why he laughs at me simultaneously pretending that this is normal. Just, stand still, idiot! You dare to behave as if you were my friend after it. Oh my god.. People would, absolutely, find it cringe!

Following the instructions that their teacher gave them, they burrowed from him a small shiny silver kunai, which was 14 cm long. Their task, at the moment, was to break the kunai into pieces. Ideally, as Wana Tabachi says, the kunai had to lose its shape in the process becoming more like sand.

It was more difficult to shape metals compared to breaking them. Respectively, energies from mental barrels were also expended.

Hatrick started first. He grabbed tightly the kunai by its handle, which was wrapped in material. Staring at the weapon, he directed his soul voltage, while inside of him, his mental barrel came into operation. Its, at first, peripheral sides gradually heated up. The mental barrel had divine water in it, which was constantly experiencing storms, hurricanes, or in other words, in constant motion. Nevertheless, when a person with a mental barrel concentrated on something, its divine water temporarily would stabilize and strive for the ideal state of having no waves. However, as we know, in this world, there's not even a thing, which is ideal. To reach perfection is like a distant unattainable dream, which every living being desired.

The kunai's peripheral sides clearly felt the load emanating from Hatrick's inner soul barrel. It lead to its molecules began to slowly vibrate. Hatrick pressed it down with even more force, while his barrel sent additional portion of its soul essence.

Hatrick needed soul essence to keep the outermost walls of his barrel out of overheating. The moment they become overheated, he loses his ability to concentrate normally, while inside of his barrel occur various types of disasters, hurricanes and storms, everything with water, sometimes even thunders would be formed. However, in itself, this did no harm for the owner. But, it symbolized that the mental state of the owner was not in a good shape. Later, with time, the divine water would produce the missing amount of the soul essence, thereby replenishing it.

Is he an idiot or what? Why is he trying to bend it by force? Bred knew that one needs to take a methodical approach, unless he was a strong expert. Talking of Hatrick, he, surely, wasn't. Looking at Hatrick, soon they noticed how saliva trickled from his lips.

Hatrick was done with his performance. All he could do were barely noticeable bumps on the surface of the weapon. The teacher didn't appreciate it. What is more, his gaze was now directed towards Bred, as if expecting him to fail so, as the latter.

"Well, so this is what it looks like up close." Examining the silver kunai, Bred noticed that the thing was fashioned with refined taste. Moreover, it had curved carvings near the handle. "And he wants me to destroy this beauty."

Bred gloomily glanced at his palm, while behind the teacher, Tsukushi, Alukard actively gestured, throwing his hands out to the sides. "What a... mmm.. he points to his palm."

And to the teacher ? Bred had no idea at first, then abruptly got him.

Weeell, okay.. Bred clenched his balls.

" Teacher, Tsukushi, may I take this fabric off the kunai? "

In response, he nodded. "Yeah, do as you wish."

Now, the kunai was bare. Bred grabbed it with the fingertips of both hands.

His mental barrel activated. Its walls radiated a turbid, bright orange color, while the turbulent waves inside grew slower and slower. A glowing green patch appeared underwater, then spread throughout the sea of the soul, growing dimmer as it did so. A moment later, it condensed into 6–7 cubic meters of water, regaining its brilliant green radiance. That was the soul essence absorbed into the waters of the soul. By this point, the walls of the mental barrel had taken on a reddish glow.

Bred poured it in there. However, in contrast to Hatrick, he proceeded without haste.

At first, the exposed weapon showed no sigh of the damage. But, soon additional supplies of Bred's mental essence revealed the hidden damage, which was a small pierced area, that soon gushed out with minor drops of the silver.

Some students said "wow" out loud. It seems, we won't have to go through it, thanks to Bred. When the crowd just started to rejoice internally, a disappointing sound could be heard.

"That's it. You've heated the walls of your barrel to the point where you can't go any further."

Wana Tsukushi determined that Brad would lose. The students wanted to argue about that, even though Bred agreed with the statement. He handed the badly damaged, ugly kunai to the teacher. In the end, he failed to cope with the task.

All of a sudden, a random student with curly hairs straightly asked, whether they end here. But, he was surprised. Maybe, because he saw another intact duplicate of the kunai.

"How many duplicates you had ?" This question appeared to be in everyone's mind. What surprised him was that, Elvina, who rarely showed emotions vividly, now couldn't hide her curiosity. Wana Tsukushi noticed their bewilderment, when he smiled warmly exposing his ideally straight teeth.

"I just restored it."

So fast!

And the process continued. The majority of the students performed similar to Hatrick, though some were slightly better, while some were slightly worse. No one showed a result, that would satisfy Wana Tsukushi. However, he knew his several students didn't really show what they are capable of. They were hiding it. For what? Tsukushi didn't care. Next moment, he declared his decision.

"From this moment on we will be practicing without metals. Anyways, your mental barrels are useless. For today, that's enough. You can go."

Anxiety filled the field.
