I looked at him with a deadly expression, "Don't lie to me."
I gritted my teeth like it was the only thing holding me back. I had a strong urge to throttle his throat.
And the worst part, he looks like he doesn't give a damn. He doesn't give a crap at all. He wore a nonchalant face and shrugged his shoulders at me.
"Yes, I knew she was escaping the house."
His words are calm while my anger continues to boil. I clenched my hands and felt betrayal within, hurt as much as I hated to admit it.
I knew that Killian didn't like the girl because she was a demon, but to the point that he didn't tell me.
It made me realize he didn't care about anyone but himself.
I asked him. "Are you happy?"
My face turned blank and calm, but underneath, my disappointment could be seen in my eyes.
For the first time, Killian shows uncertainty on his face. Like he realized he did something he shouldn't have.
