The Chapter get Retranslated
The entire bridge fell into a deathly silence. Murrue watched Gerard, whose eyes were wide with shock, open and close her mouth, finally covering it as she stared blankly at the expressionless Mikazuki.
"Mikazuki..."
"Mikazuki Augus! What have you done?!"
Natarle angrily questioned Mikazuki, who, unfazed, raised his gun and looked at her coolly.
"Is something wrong?"
"He's an Earth Alliance Rear Admiral. If he dies on the Archangel, even if we return to Lunar Headquarters, we'll..."
Mikazuki put his pistol back at his waist, cutting off Natarle's furious words, and said indifferently, "If I didn't kill him, everyone on this warship would die."
Natarle choked.
"But... but..."
Seeing Natarle's unwilling expression, Mu quickly stepped in to mediate.
"Alright, alright, Natarle. The boy is right; they were the ones who schemed against us first.
Besides, Artemis is gone. When we return to Lunar Headquarters, we'll just report that the Rear Admiral died in the line of duty protecting us and perished with Artemis. That would be letting him off easy."
Natarle looked at Murrue, who nodded in agreement. She then sighed helplessly.
"That's the only way, then. But, Mikazuki, you..."
Mikazuki reached out a hand, grabbed Gerard's corpse, and opened the bridge door.
"If you're going to lecture me, then save your breath. It doesn't matter to me whether I listen or not. I'm going to throw him out."
Whoosh
The bridge door closed. Natarle's eye twitched violently, and her chest heaved dramatically, clearly infuriated by Mikazuki.
Murrue patted Natarle's shoulder with a bitter smile and addressed the crew on the bridge.
"You've all been under high alert these past few days; thank you for your hard work.
But constantly being on edge isn't good. We still have enough supplies to last a while, so everyone, please rest in shifts. We'll discuss things later."
"Yes!"
Mikazuki dragged Gerard's corpse to the deck, and with the help of the Archangel's crew, tossed the last body out of the Archangel to drift in space.
Grrrrmble
Mikazuki's stomach rumbled.
"Hungry. Let's eat."
In the recreation area mess hall, Mikazuki carried a tray filled with three servings of food and found an empty table to sit down and eat.
Murrue, Natarle, Kira, and his friends also came to eat. They saw Mikazuki sitting alone, eating. There were other people in the mess hall, but they all seemed to instinctively keep their distance from Mikazuki's table.
The crew members were alright; not many of them were there, probably having already been seated and eating, showing no intention of distancing themselves.
But the civilians rescued from Heliopolis by Kira were different. Their gazes at Mikazuki were like looking at a harbinger of doom, which made Murrue frown slightly.
As Mikazuki ate with his earpiece on, Orga's gleeful voice came through.
"You really are disliked, aren't you? Those guys are looking at you like you're a monster."
Mikazuki swallowed a mouthful of rice and said, uncaring, "Really? A monster? Whatever. I'm not doing it for them anyway. Munch"
"Mikazuki, can I join you?"
Mikazuki stopped spooning, looked up, and Murrue's gentle face appeared before him.
"Suit yourself."
"Thank you."
Murrue smiled, placing her tray, which contained very little food, opposite Mikazuki. It wasn't that she was worried about running out of supplies; it was just that her appetite was truly that small.
From Mikazuki's perspective, her appetite was the same as Lacus and Kudelia's; she ate very little.
Natarle, Kira, and the others sat at the table behind Mikazuki, all with their ears perked up, secretly observing the two of them.
However, after Murrue sat down, Mikazuki had no intention of speaking, lowering his head to quickly devour his meal.
Murrue couldn't help but speak up.
"Mikazuki, eat slowly. No one's going to steal your food."
Mikazuki raised his cheeks, which were full of food, making Murrue giggle. Mikazuki continued to chew his food with dead-fish eyes, not bothering to respond to her.
Murrue covered her mouth, trying to hold back her laughter for a long time, until Mikazuki's cheeks deflated. She couldn't help it; Mikazuki had been truly adorable just then.
Murrue cleared her throat and smiled.
"Mikazuki, we've made a preliminary decision for the next leg of our journey. I'd like to ask for your opinion."
"What is it?"
"The Archangel's route to Lunar Headquarters passes through an asteroid belt.
That area is full of all kinds of things drifting in space, including warships destroyed in battle, so..."
Mikazuki took a sip of water and said, "So, the Archangel needs to go to the asteroid belt for supplies?"
"Yes, what do you think?"
Although this matter didn't strictly require consulting Mikazuki, Murrue couldn't help but always want to ask for the boy's opinion. It seemed Mikazuki's opinions were often more efficient than their discussions on the bridge.
Behind them, Natarle pulled down the brim of her hat and silently ate her meal.
Mikazuki shrugged. He wondered what the big deal was. It was simple. Tekkadan had done this countless times.
"Nothing bad about it. Our Tekkadan always did that—getting supplies from those destroyed guys."
Murrue's heart skipped a beat.
"Eh? Your Tekkadan always did that?"
"Yeah, because we had to survive. But that was in the past.
Now it's good. Supplies and everything are plentiful."
As Mikazuki spoke, he picked up his tray, put his mouth to the rim, and scooped rice into his mouth with his spoon.
Meanwhile, Murrue and the others, including Natarle and Kira, froze with their spoons halfway to their mouths.
