Chapter 4 - New Revelations, New Enemies, New Home

Four hours and five Goblin healers later, Harry sat inside the intricate and grandly designed office of King Ragnok. They had just settled down after all the examinations, though a dark tension hung heavy in the air, carrying the faint scent of old parchment and metallic polish.

"Well, Lord Potter. This is truly troubling. Apart from your magic being bound by 75% and the highly illegal blood wards siphoning off an additional 20%, you have a fragment of someone's soul inside the scar on your forehead. It seems your magical guardian has much to answer for."

Shaking his head, Harry was happy to know his status panel was accurate.

"King Ragnok, are you aware of who that is? I'm aware that it seems they were trying to keep me beaten down and weak, but who would do such a thing?" Harry asked, hoping to lead the Goblins in the right direction.

"Your magical guardian is none other than Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts. This is highly concerning. I'm unsure if you are aware, but he holds quite a few positions of power in our country, and is heralded as the 'Leader of Light'."

"Sounds like a bunch of lies, if I'm honest, sir," Harry said. "Theoretically, if in the future I were to take him to court, would your healers' report hold up?"

Ragnok chuckled lightly. "It would. Though we are seen as less than by the majority of the wizarding populace, our legitimacy will stand. Do you wish to use your Lordships to crush Albus?"

Sighing, Harry raked a hand through his hair.

"Not yet. I'm not strong enough magically, or have enough connections politically. But I will. That man has ruined my life, and people need to be aware of his dark lord tendencies."

Ragnok nodded, understanding the young man's plight. Though he couldn't do much, he was happy to see the fire in Harry's eyes.

Snapping his finger, five boxes appeared on the table with a soft thud.

"Then we shall move onto your main objective today. These are your Lordship rings. Simply wear each one; once they verify your status, they will resize and merge into a singular ring. Once complete, you will be magically an adult, and Gringotts will file any other documentation needed on our end."

Standing up, Harry picked up the first box. Opening it, he found a rather large golden ring, with a red diamond, and a griffin etched on the jewel.

Placing it upon his finger, he waited momentarily as a surge of ancient power pulsed through him before the ring flashed and resized.

"Congratulations, Lord Gryffindor," Ragnok spoke.

Continuing, Harry began placing each ring on his finger, each one recognizing him as the new Lord of the House, before merging into a singular ring, which became the House Potter ring.

"Once again, congratulations, Lord Potter-Gryffindor-Slytherin-Peverell-leFay."

A laugh escaped Harry at the long title. "Please, just Harry for you, King Ragnok."

"Then in private, it is Ragnok for you, young Harry."

Both laughed quietly, before Ragnok pushed a large stack of parchment towards Harry.

"Whilst you were getting your examination complete, I took the liberty of having your vaults and assets assessed. It is safe to say, throughout the wizarding world, you are the richest man alive. Though Peverell, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and le Fay don't exactly hold galleons, they are filled with priceless gems, artifacts, and more gold than needed."

Reading through the assets and money, Harry couldn't help but choke on his own saliva.

'This is fucking insane!' He thought.

'I have manors, castles, and land. Diagon Alley is technically owned by me, so rent goes into my vaults. Hogsmeade and Hogwarts pay me yearly as well. The amount of books and magical items seems to be never-ending.'

Harry truly couldn't understand the scope of his wealth.

"I see you're overwhelmed. Think nothing of it; your money is all as it should be, apart from the Potter heir vault," Ragnok said, a sigh escaping his lips.

"Albus Dumbledore has been withdrawing 90% of your personal vault every year, which totals at 90,000 galleons. An additional 5% has been transferred to the Weasley family vaults, for reasons undisclosed. We've also found an illegal marriage certificate drafted by one Albus Dumbledore and Molly Weasley, though as he isn't your true guardian, but an illegally placed one, it is void."

Harry couldn't help but narrow his eyes at that information.

'It seems like at least Molly isn't good in this world too. I'm definitely in some nightmare AU of Harry Potter.'

"Ragnok, can you please log that, along with my medical records for future use? Please don't change anything, or take the money back. When I strike him in public, that's when I want everything charged back; please take any fees at the time. Gringotts has been honest with me since I arrived, and you deserve some compensation."

Ragnok nodded, acknowledging the benefits his bank would receive from the young man's request.

In his eyes, this was a significant branch of friendship.

"Are you sure you don't wish for our healers to remove the curse scar and magical bindings?" Ragnok inquired.

He had asked previously, but the boy merely smiled and said he had it all sorted out. It was quite concerning, as they both understood that Voldemort had split his soul, becoming a vile piece of magic known as a Horcrux.

"I'll be fine, sir. Though I'd suggest you check your bank vaults for anything similar. I wouldn't put it past Voldemort to fragment his soul more than once, and give it to someone for safekeeping."

'That should lead them to do some audits, hopefully. Ragnok seems like he's aware of much more than he's letting on,' Harry thought.

"Well, thank you, young Lord, that should be everything sorted for today. Your rings also act as Portkeys to each House's castle. If you require anything else, please send an owl to me. I shall be ensuring your accounts are managed from now on, personally."

Harry thanked Ragnok, before exiting the office and briskly walking through Gringotts and leaving the bank.

Though he didn't access his vaults yet, he was gifted a bottomless bank pouch, which could be used to purchase anything, or he could use his Lord rings, similar to a credit card.

Walking through Diagon Alley, he found the Apparition and Portkey zone and thought about a specific ring's castle.

A hooking sensation appeared in his navel as the world twisted around him and he popped away to his new home, le Fay Castle.
