Chapter 2 - SS0 EP 2

He glanced at the blue window and let out a sigh.

Then, he looked around. The room wasn't very spacious—it was just big enough for one person

Exhausted beyond measure and riddled with wounds, he shuffled toward the bed.

But something caught his eye on the small table nearby. A green vial sat there, untouched.

He picked it up and drank without hesitation. Slowly, the wounds across his body began to close—leaving scars behind, silent reminders of the pain. Still, a faint sense of relief crept into his chest.

Shin: "Menu window..."

The blue window flickered open again, this time revealing other options: Shop, Character Window, Missions, Guidance.

He clicked on Guidance, hoping for some direction.

There was a lot to read.

"Players only gain EXP by completing missions. Check the Missions tab for daily, weekly, and monthly side quests. Once Hardcore Mode activates, side quests become unavailable, except for Main or World Missions."

He scrolled further, discovering even more tips—how to talk to others, buy items, even something as mundane as washing dishes was listed.

Shin: "Is any of this really necessary?"

Frowning, he kept scrolling until he found the entries for Skills and Quirks.

He opened Skills first:

"Skills can be learned naturally or purchased from shops. They can be swapped or removed at will but cannot be upgraded unless you acquire a Growth Tome."

Then Quirks:

"Quirks are only available for purchase at shops. They cannot be learned, upgraded, or removed."

A note followed:

"Skills and Quirks cannot be transferred to others, except healing items, which range from low-tier potions to the Holy Water of Life—these cannot be given away. Weapons and clothing are also non-transferable."

Closing the window, Shin felt the weight of it all crash down on him.

He couldn't take it anymore.

He collapsed onto the bed and slipped into a restless sleep.

He opened his eyes and glanced at the clock mounted on the wall—08:46.

Slowly, he got up and noticed something on the same table where the green vial had been.

An ID card, a brand-new phone, several sets of clothes, textbooks—Japanese language, history, and more—and a variety of other essentials.

He rifled through the items, relief washing over him. At least there were supplies. He'd feared he'd have to buy everything himself, and on top of that, he didn't know a word of Japanese.

With a deep sigh, he began organizing the things neatly before heading to the shower.

Once dressed in the fresh clothes, he stepped outside.

Looking around, he had expected a futuristic world, but this place looked eerily like the present day.

As he walked down the street, his eyes widened in shock.

People here weren't normal. Some had horns, others hair blazing like fire.

Shin: "What the hell is this shit?!"

He blurted out in Thai. Heads turned, but he forced his face to remain expressionless.

He moved on and soon found a small restaurant. The place wasn't big—but it was completely empty.

He stepped inside, armed with only a few words he'd picked up from watching adult videos.

A staff member came to greet him.

Using his phone's translator, Shin tried to explain he wanted a private room. The employee led him inside.

Without really knowing what to order, Shin randomly pointed at the menu. The staff nodded and left.

He sat down, opened the menu window again, and began scrolling through the character list, starting from Class 1 - Room A.

After finishing reading, he skimmed through the backgrounds of the characters briefly.

Shin: "Midoriya wants to be a hero? Then why the hell hasn't he started training yet?"

Shin: "If I ever run into you, I'll make you run ten laps around the track."

He started flipping through Class 1, Room B, just skimming the names. Not long after, the food arrived. Using his phone, he asked the staff if they could see the blue window. The staff shook their head—so at least it was safe to be seen here. He began eating... the taste wasn't bad, considering he had just ordered randomly.

A small blue window appeared at the corner of his eye. It read: Daily Missions! He tapped on it.

[Daily Missions — Light Exercise]

Run 5 kilometers (0/5)

Do 50 push-ups (0/50)

Do 50 sit-ups (0/50)

Do 50 squats (0/50)

[Optional Mission — Reward: 150 coins, 30 EXP]

He stared at the mission and sighed. The reward was so pitiful it made him want to cry. Five kilometers just for thirty EXP? Damn it.

He thought maybe he was nothing like the overpowered protagonists in other isekai stories. Whatever. But first, he checked what rewards he got yesterday.

[Received: Item — Dimensional Bag (Can hold up to 5 kg)]

[Received: Skill — Self-Healing (Intermediate level; heals injuries only while sleeping. Comparable to a mid-tier healing potion)]

[Received: 3000 coins]

At least that gave him a bit of reassurance.
