Dami snapped when the wedding decorator brought pink roses instead of white.
"Do I look like a Valentine's Day cupcake?"
Teni stared at him. "Are you... okay?"
"I've been calm for weeks. You threw stew at me and I forgave you. You faked a pregnancy. You kissed me in public. But PINK ROSES?"
She hugged him. "You're overwhelmed."
He melted into her arms. "I just want it to be perfect."
She whispered, "Me too. But it already is. You showed up."
