Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Heavenly God Sect

"Hoh… so that brat Leon has become my first disciple, huh? I wonder how many disciples I'll take in the future. Hahaha! Well, no one can know the future, so all I can do now is guess."

Void sighed, shaking his head. "Even so, since Leon is now my disciple, I'll have to take some responsibility… tch."

He walked into the house, approaching Leon with a calm but piercing gaze.

With a softer tone, Void asked,

"Leon, can you tell me about the old man I killed yesterday?"

Leon immediately straightened, his voice trembling but respectful.

"Yes, Master. The man you killed… he was from the Heavenly God Sect. In fact, he was their Grand Elder. I'm certain you've at least heard of the sect, right? I… I'm sorry, Master. Because of me, you were dragged into this mess."

Void's lips curled into a mocking grin as a low laugh rumbled from his chest.

"Heavenly God Sect? Pfft… Hahahahaha! Just how arrogant can people be, naming their sect like that? How utterly ridiculous! Kekekeke."

His eyes sharpened as his voice grew colder.

"And Leon… don't apologize. As long as you are my disciple, you don't have to fear anyone,do you understand?

Leon lowered his head, conflicted.

My master may be strong… but how can he speak as if he's above everything? How can he claim such impossible things?

Still, he replied carefully,

"Master, it's not arrogance to name their sect that way. There are rumors… people say the ancestor of the Heavenly God Sect was once a true god. That's why their power is feared across the land—they are one of the strongest sects."

Void's expression darkened with curiosity.

"A god, huh? Interesting… very interesting. Well, whatever the truth, it doesn't matter."

His gaze drifted over Leon, noticing his improved condition.

"You've recovered well. Seems the medicine I gave you wasn't a total waste, hahaha…" But then his eyes narrowed, and his thoughts grew sharper.

No… it's not the medicine. This kid's recovery speed is monstrous. Just what kind of talent does he have?

Void smirked and spoke again.

"Leon, you can walk now, right? Good. Since you're my disciple, it's my duty to take revenge for you. This will be your first lesson—so make sure to watch closely."

Leon's eyes widened in shock.

"Master, no! You can't! I—I can't lose you!"

Void placed a hand on his disciple's shoulder, his gaze warm but unshakable.

"Don't worry, child. Just trust your master. Hahaha! Now, let's go."

Approaching the Sect

An hour later, Void and Leon reached the towering gates of the Heavenly God Sect.

Void stretched his neck lazily, frowning.

"Tch… this damn forest. All because of you, system."

The system chimed in,

[Oh, come on, Host. If you explored more, maybe you would've found a shortcut.]

Void rolled his eyes.

"Forget it. Enough talk. Let's go teach these arrogant bastards a lesson."

[Host, before you start, don't you want to use your system points to create a new skill?]

"No. I'll create several skills at once when I get back home. First, let's wipe out this so-called Heavenly God Sect."

[Understood, Host.]

At the Gates

The guards at the entrance crossed their spears, blocking the way. One of them sneered,

"Oi, pretty boy. Who the hell are you?"

Void's lips curved into a devilish smile.

"I am the one who killed your so-called Grand Elder. Now, get lost."

The guards froze before bursting into laughter.

"What did you say, brat? You? Kill the Grand Elder? Don't make us laugh—you couldn't even scratch him!"

Void tilted his head, voice dripping with mockery.

"Then let's flip that question. Do you really think your old bastard of an elder could even touch me? Hahahahaha!"

The guards stiffened. They couldn't sense Void's cultivation at all. Whispers passed between them:

Is he bluffing? Or is he hiding his true realm?

Void grew impatient, his aura starting to leak.

"You're wasting my time. Move—or die."

He suddenly called out,

"Oi, system. Don't you think it's boring to kill everyone with pressure alone? Can't I use that sword you gave me—the God of Void Sword?"

The system's voice turned grave.

[…No, Host. That sword is not meant for this. It is too dangerous for this world.]

Void smirked faintly. "Fine." He glanced at Leon, who trembled, fear etched across his young face.

"Don't worry, Leon. Just watch."

The next moment, an overwhelming pressure exploded from Void. The guards couldn't even scream—within seconds, their bodies collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

Leon's jaw dropped. He couldn't even keep his eyes open against the sheer weight of Void's presence.

He… killed them all… without moving a finger.

Void shook his head.

"Damn. Looks like I'll have to make a new skill soon. Why must everything I create be tied to 'void'? Hmph."

He waved his hand, stepping past the corpses.

"System, don't notify me about points yet. Save it until I'm finished here."

[Yes, Host.]

Void raised his gaze at the colossal sect sprawling before him. The vast halls, towers, and palaces stretched endlessly, glowing with arrogance and wealth.

A cold smile spread across his lips.

"So this… is the Heavenly God Sect."
