Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Genesis of the Limitless

The night was still. The shattered mountains stood silent under the pale glow of the moon as Void walked down the lonely path, hands in his pockets, eyes glowing faintly white. The wind brushed past him, whispering secrets of the carnage he had left behind.

"Hey, System…" he said quietly, his voice calm but filled with authority. "Now that all that trouble's over, don't you think it's time to make Leon's talent bloom?"

> System: "Yes, host. However, there's something important I should tell you about Leon—he possesses a unique physique."

Void raised an eyebrow, mildly intrigued. "A physique, huh? What kind?"

> System: "The Limitless Mimic Physique."

For a moment, Void was silent—then smirked, amusement flickering across his lips. "Limitless Mimic, huh? Sounds interesting for a brat who still trips over his own feet. Go on."

> System: "He can copy, adapt, and master any skill, aura, or technique he witnesses. However, he cannot copy your abilities, host. The copied skills begin weaker but grow as his understanding deepens."

Void chuckled. "So basically, the longer a fight goes on, the faster his opponent starts losing. Not bad."

> System: "Precisely. It's a physique even I have not encountered before."

"Monstrous…" Void muttered, then grinned. "Well, first thing's first—we head home. This kid's walking slower than a turtle trapped in molasses."

He sighed and walked over to Leon, scooping him up with one hand like a sack of rice.

"Wh-what are you doing, Master!?" Leon flailed in shock.

"You're too slow," Void replied lazily. "Let's go home before I grow old."

Leon blinked. "Ah… sorry, Master. And thank you."

Void smirked. "Don't worry about it, brat."

---

Back at Home

Ten minutes later, they arrived at their small home under the starry sky. Void stretched his arms lazily.

"Now that I think about it, my speed's getting ridiculous," he muttered.

He turned to Leon. "Go inside and rest. I'll talk to you later."

"Yes, Master." Leon bowed and disappeared inside.

Void sat beneath the great tree, staring into the moonlight. "System, it's time to give me my points."

> System: "Yes, host. You currently possess 2,000 points."

Void's brows rose. "Two thousand? Damn, didn't think killing that Sect Leader was that profitable. Hehehe."

> System: "You gained 1,400 from the Sect Leader and 600 from the six elders."

"Wait—six? I thought I killed four."

> System: "The remaining two perished from the aftershock of your battle."

Void smirked darkly. "Not my fault they were weak."

> System: "You now have a total of 2,180 points."

Void nodded. "Let's see… 50 points from Black Fire Town, 80 from that so-called Grand Elder, and now 2,180 from this massacre. Not bad. Guess it's time to forge new skills, huh?"

> System: "Indeed. Create something worthy, and perhaps I'll reveal more information."

Void leaned back against the tree, eyes glinting. "Fine, I'll think. Also, stock the house with food, System. Don't know how long I'll be out here."

> System: "Why, host?"

"Don't ask questions. Just do it."

System: "As you wish."

---

Three Days of Silence

Void sat there beneath the moon, unmoving. Time passed—days slipped away. Even Leon checked on him several times, but Void remained still, his aura quiet yet terrifyingly vast.

After three days, Void finally opened his eyes.

"System," he said with a grin. "I've got the names. But what matters now is the power behind them. Let's make them real."

> System: "Understood. Please list the skills."

Void waved his hand lazily. "Nah. You take all the points and make skills that fit me."

> System: "…Excuse me? That's your job, host!"

"Oh, come on. I've been thinking for three days straight and nothing's coming to mind."

> System: "Then what were you doing all that time!?"

"I—uh—was sleeping?"

System: "You didn't close your eyes once."

Void shrugged. "That's just how I'm built."

> System: "Unbelievable…"

"Stop nagging. You make the skills. In return, I'll give you all leftover points."

System: "Deal. Creating skills… please wait."

Void chuckled softly as he glanced toward Leon's room. The boy was sleeping soundly. "Heh, kid's lucky."

> System: "Creation complete. Displaying results."

Void smirked. "Alright, let's see what you cooked up."

Void stared at the screen, then laughed softly. "You used up everything? Damn. Fine, next time you're getting 1,000 bonus points for effort."

> System: "Thank you, host."

Void leaned back. "Now that you're in a good mood, tell me that secret you've been hiding."

> System: "Yes, host. You are now ready—but there's one truth I still cannot reveal."

"Then say what you can."

> System: "There was once a time when even gods needed a king. No one was ever chosen—until you. You were selected for your willpower, pride, and your refusal to bow. You care for those important to you, and that alone set you apart."

Void blinked. "You know that much about me? Don't tell me you were spying on me even in my past life."

> System: "Forgive me, host. But the new king shall be you—the King of Transcendence… or True Outside."

Void froze. "…King of what now?"

> System: "Beyond everything. Let me explain:"

Universe

Multiverse

Omniverse

The Beyond / Void Expanse

Transcendence / True Outside

Void's eyes widened slightly. Then—he laughed. A low chuckle that grew louder and louder until it shook the night.

"KHAHAHAHA! So that's what lies beyond all creation!? Perfect. Absolutely perfect."

> System: "I thought you were afraid—"

"Fear? Don't make me laugh. In my past life or this one, I've never known fear."

> System: "You truly are something else."

Void smirked. "Yeah, I know."

---

A Glimpse of the Past

Flashes of his former life surfaced—Kevin, a cold, emotionless child abandoned at four. No family, no comfort. Only fights and survival. Violence was his only joy. Perhaps that's why Void existed now—born from that endless hunger.

"Ah, what a pain," Void muttered. "Why are these damn memories popping up now?"

> System: "Host?"

"Forget it. Let's talk later."

---

Leon's Awakening

Void entered the house. Leon was sitting cross-legged, cultivating. The boy's eyes opened in surprise. "M-Master! You're here!"

Void smiled faintly. "Relax. I was just watching. Sorry I didn't talk for a few days—I was meditating."

Leon grinned. "It's fine, Master. Why don't we eat something?"

Void smirked. "Now you're talking."

They sat and ate together. Void sipped something golden and sighed. "Ahhh… I missed this."

Leon tilted his head. "Master, what is that?"

"This? It's called beer, brat. Only adults drink it. Damn, to think this world has this too."

"Master, isn't that bad for your health?"

Void raised a brow. "Health? My body's basically immortal. Don't worry."

He ruffled Leon's hair. "Now, tell me something—do you know your talent?"

Leon shook his head sadly. "No, Master… I thought I was useless."

Void blinked—then burst out laughing. "Useless? You? Don't make me laugh, kid. If you're useless, then the rest of the world's garbage. You've got a rare physique, one meant for battle, not sitting around."

Leon's eyes widened. "For battle?"

Void nodded. "Yep. You've got the Limitless Mimic Physique. You can copy, adapt, and master any skill or technique you see—just not mine. The stronger your understanding, the stronger the skill becomes."

Leon's lips trembled, tears forming. "Master… if I hadn't met you, I would've stayed worthless forever. Thank you!"

Void froze. "Wha—why the hell are you crying!?" He panicked internally. "System, what do I do? I've never dealt with kids before!"

> System: "Try comforting him, maybe?"

Void awkwardly patted Leon's head. "Uh… it's okay, stop crying."

Leon sniffled and smiled. "Thank you, Master."

Void blinked. "Wait—it worked?"

> System: "Host… you're unbelievable."

"Shut up, System."

> System: "You're blushing."

"I said shut up!"

---

The Training Begins

"Alright, brat," Void said, standing up. "Let's train."

They sat beneath the great tree once again.

"First, you'll learn to feel me," Void said. "I'll release my aura, and you'll find it. That way, when I summon you later, you can recognize it instantly."

Leon nodded nervously. "But… how do I feel it?"

Void smirked. "Simple. Watch."

He unleashed his aura. Instantly, Leon dropped to his knees, unable to move.

"Wh-what is this, Master!? My body—it's so heavy!"

Void blinked. "Ah… crap. Wrong switch. That was pressure, not aura."

> System: "HOST! If you kept that up, the boy would've died!"

Void waved him off. "He's fine. Look, still breathing."

> System: "Please… be careful this time."

"Yeah, yeah."

He focused again, releasing a calmer, darker energy this time. Leon gasped softly.

"I can feel it… it's calm, but so heavy."

Void smirked. "Good. That's my aura. Your physique's already adapting to it."

Leon nodded, trembling slightly. "But Master… why is your aura so black?"

Void chuckled. "Because I'm just too strong. Don't worry about it."

He stood. "You'll need to train this feeling daily. I'm sending you out soon."

Leon blinked in surprise. "You're sending me away? Are you… abandoning me?"

Void sighed. "Ridiculous. I'm sending you to grow. The future will be brutal, Leon. I'll become stronger than anything in existence—and I expect my disciple to follow behind me."

Leon wiped his eyes and smiled. "Then I'll come back stronger than you!"

Void grinned. "Hah! Good luck. No one can beat me. But fine, I'll teach you some techniques before you go."

---

Leon's Techniques

> System: "Host, please teach him the following."

1. Echo Flow Technique

Move with the rhythm of the world. Sense the invisible echoes left by every action. Adapt, predict, and merge with your enemy's flow.

2. Mirror Break Fist

Store the enemy's power and reflect it back tenfold. Calm mind, steady hand—rage will only destroy your arm.

3. Soul Resonance Art

Connect your soul with your body, weapon, and environment. Unlock your hidden potential, even beyond your limits.

> System: "Host, you won't need points for these."

Void nodded. "Good. Let's teach him."

---

After Hours of Training

Six hours later, Leon collapsed, panting, but smiling proudly.

"Master… I understand them all."

Void stretched. "Good. Then don't slack off. I expect results."

Leon smiled. "Yes, Master!"

Void yawned, collapsing onto the grass. "Ahh… finally. I'm so damn sleepy."

Leon chuckled softly. "Goodnight, Master."

Void smirked as his eyes closed. "Goodnight, brat…"

The wind rustled through the trees as the night deepened, and for the first time in a long while, the world around Void was peaceful.
