Lisa had just gotten home from work after a long day and saw a nice car in the driveway. This confused her greatly, she walked through her front door. As she took her shoes off, she saw a large pair of shoes, a man's.
Lisa looked around, but all the lights were off. Lisa saw that the light was on in Lisa's bedroom and some music was playing quietly. Lisa turned on the lights before she walked down the hall to April's room.
She could hear some muffled voices from behind the door. One of the voices was obviously a man's voice as it was too deep to be a woman. Lisa opened the door without knocking, expecting the worst but all she saw was April sitting on her bed with a teenage boy discussing about a book. April was wearing a black hoodie however that was obviously too big for her.
Lisa said, "What is going on here?"
April nervously said, "We were just studying but we lost track of time. Then we got distracted by books."
Lisa asked, "Who is this boy?"
April said, "This is John. My boyfriend." April looked over at John and saw that he didn't refuse, so it was official. They were boyfriend and girlfriend.
Lisa said, "Boyfriend? When did this happen?"
April said, "Just today."
Lisa observed the boy and thought, 'My girl sure has great taste, look at those muscles.'
Lisa said, "Well, it is dinner time. How about we get pizza?"
April asked, "Can we afford that?"
Lisa shook her head and sighed. April got a little down as well. John said, "I'll pay for it."
Lisa was about to refuse when April said, "Really, thanks John." Lisa sighed when she heard this.
John smiled and said, "No problem. Order anything you want." April cheered as she walked out of the room, leaving John and Lisa alone.
Lisa said, "Don't hurt my girl."
John said, "Don't worry, nothing of the sort will happen. There is something special about her, I can feel it."
Lisa started to sweat a little but said, "It's good you know." John nodded. John then followed Lisa out of the room. John told her a little about himself, and Lisa listened intently. She was surprised when she heard John was actually from the city, she did not expect that from the way he talked with her.
The way he stood straight and talked very proper without any slang. He was a bonafide genu-ine gentleman. They walked into the living room and saw April on the phone ordering pizza. John sat down on the sofa with Lisa while they waited for April to finish.
April ended the call before she walked over to the sofa and sat down next to John. They then proceeded to talk to Lisa about the details of their relationship and how they met. Lisa got pissed when she heard all the stuff that happened to April today, but when she heard what John did to the aggressors she smiled.
Just by looking at John's fists, she could tell he cared about April. They talked for about 20 minutes before the doorbell rang. John stood up and opened the door and was surprised to see the delivery man holding 2 large pizzas, garlic bread, chicken wings, and a 2- liter of coca cola.
The delivery man said, "That will be 80 dollars." John pulled his wallet out of his wallet and placed a hundred-dollar bill in the delivery man's hand before he and Lisa took the food from the man. Lisa had seen John's wallet was filled with hundred-dollar bills. He had at least a thousand dollars in his pocket.
John closed the front door with his foot as he walked over to the kitchen table and set the food down. They all sat down at the table and began to eat together. They had a great time talking among themselves and eating some delicious food. They hadn't been able to eat out for a while as money was tight.
John could see some sections of the house that needed repairs. So, he knew that they needed to save any money they could for important things. About an hour later it was almost 12 am, so John stood up and made his way to the door slowly followed by a sleepy April and a tired Lisa. John said, "I had a great time, and it was nice to meet you, Lisa."
Lisa said, "Yeah, I had a good time as well. Are you sure you don't want to take some food with you? You payed after all." John shook his head. John gave April a hug, then he stepped outside as April walked to her room clumsily.
John said, "Lisa, here is 1,200 dollars, you can use it to fix up the house a little." Lisa was about to refuse when she remembered about all the things that needed repair.
Lisa took the money, but she said, "I'll pay you back in the future."
John smiled and said, "That's unnecessary. Have a good night, Lisa." Then John walked down the driveway to his car and got in before he backed out of the driveway. John drove off into the night as Lisa watched him.
Lisa looked down at the money she had received from John. She hoped everything worked out with him and April because she really liked John. Lisa closed and locked the door before she began to think about the things that needed repair the most urgently.
Lisa set the money in her sock drawer in her room. Then she walked to April's room and saw that she was already fast asleep, holding her stuffed animals. Lisa walked over to her and saw that she was still wearing the black sweater John had given her.
Lisa saw that April had a bright smile on her face as she slept. Lisa kissed April's forehead before she walked out of the room and walked into the bathroom and took a shower. Cold water hit her body, shocking her. She immediately put this as one of the first repairs they needed.
She finished her shower and looked at herself in the mirror, she said, "You're still a hotty, just need to find the right man." Lisa walked out of the bathroom and walked to her room before she changed into pajamas. Then she crawled into bed and passed out.
