Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: First Encounter with Ahsoka

Amir, on the other hand, was much worse off. Whenever he encountered stormtroopers, he would find a cell to lock himself in and act like a law-abiding, enthusiastic prisoner.

"Click, click, click, click." Another squad of stormtroopers rushed past the cell door. Amir cautiously peeked out and, seeing no one, had BD-4 open the cell door and continue forward.

However, before they had gone far, they heard the sounds of battle ahead, with blaster guns firing wildly and what sounded like lightsabers humming.

"Who's attacking this ship? Are the Imperial Inquisitors fighting?" Amir heard the sound of lightsabers and instinctively thought they were the Imperial Inquisitors.

"We can't go forward. They're getting closer. Let's hide for a while." Amir scanned the area. They were already in the core region, and all the cells were occupied.

"I never thought I'd end up fighting someone else for a cell." Amir sighed when he saw a cell with two people inside. The good news was that they were both unconscious. After some deliberation, he opened the cell door and crawled inside.

Waiting was always tedious. At times like this, Amir missed something called a phone. He looked down at his communicator and sighed, lamenting the lack of entertainment in this Star Wars–like world.

As he lowered his head, he saw the young man in the cell slowly waking up. The young man squinted and looked at Amir blurrily.

"Haha, it's useless. You won't get any information out of me," he said hoarsely. Blood foam constantly oozed from his mouth, and his voice grew weaker by the second. He was clearly on the brink of death.

"Hey, there's a tough guy here. Give him a shot of adrenaline." Amir suddenly felt a pang of sympathy. He pulled a vial of emergency medication out from the gap in his leg bindings and administered it to the young man, saving his life.

After the injection, the young man did not regain consciousness, but he fell back into a deeper sleep. His breathing had become much more stable, though.

The battle outside continued, and Amir watched the seconds tick by, growing increasingly anxious.

"Fortunately, we have plenty of time, but we must act within the next two minutes."

The cell fell silent. A blond teenager leaned against the door. An unconscious young man with deep wounds lay on the floor. A strange, short old man collapsed in the corner.

Soon, the area outside fell silent as well—the battle had ended.

However, the sound of chaotic footsteps grew closer, making Amir even more uneasy. He looked at the two people in front of him and felt that something was off.

"No way..."

The more he worried, the more it seemed to happen. Sure enough, a group of people stopped in front of his cell, and technicians began picking the lock.

Amir silently stood up as the door opened.

"Who are you?" Ahsoka asked, looking at the three people in the cell. Three people? There should only be two.

"Hmmm... We're cellmates. We help each other out and get along well." Amir looked at the person in front of him and felt a sense of familiarity. He suddenly thought of someone and blurted out, "Ahsoka?"

The person in front of him suddenly grew wary. "Do you know me?"

At that moment, two people rushed out from the group and began performing first aid on the unconscious cellmate.

Amir didn't respond. He recognized Ahsoka from memories of his previous life, but he couldn't explain it. He simply called BD-4 to handle the situation.

"BD-4, come down." BD-4, who had been hiding in the ventilation shaft, jumped down and beeped at Ahsoka.

"Oh! It's you, BD. It's been a long time. How is Mr. Lior Bloom?" Ahsoka was delighted, clearly having seen the man in the trench coat and BD-4 before.

Amir realized at that moment that the man in the trench coat was Lior Bloom.

Ahsoka was the focal point of the Rebel Intelligence Organization and had initially contacted Lior Bloom to find the hologram recorder. The Rebel contact that the man in the trench coat couldn't find might have been one of the two who had been captured.

After calming BD-4 down, Ahsoka turned back to Amir and said, "Hello, I'm Ahsoka Tano, the focal point of the Rebel Intelligence Organization. Did you hear about me from Mr. Bloom?"

"Yes."

"Just call me Amir. I have things to do. You two can talk first." Amir snapped out of his daze, remembering that he had someone to save. He told her to continue her conversation with BD-4.

The reason Senir had asked him to bring BD-4 along was now clear, and the holocamera finally had a place to go.

As Amir stepped into the corridor, he sensed a dark presence. He looked toward the end of the corridor and saw an Imperial Inquisitor in black armor approaching with a stormtrooper.

"I haven't killed a Jedi in ages!" The Inquisitor, known as "Fifth Brother," raised his right hand and grasped a circular, double-bladed lightsaber. He swung it left and right, and the crimson blades unfolded to the sides, emitting a low hum.

Ahsoka immediately went on high alert. Glancing at Amir, who had raised his gun, she said, "You go handle your business. I'll take care of him."

Amir assessed Ahsoka's strength and instantly deemed the Fifth Brother a goner. He decided to take a detour to find his own target.

Fortunately, his target was nearby, just a few turns away. Without the BD-4 lock-picking tool, Amir had to connect the interface to the door and begin hacking it manually.

The prison door opened quickly.

Inside was a blue-skinned creature—was it a Pantoran or a Chiss? There were many blue-skinned races, making it hard to determine which one this was.

Amir looked at the blue humanoid and said, "Lensys Kopet, right? Senir sent me to save you."

"Senir?" Yes! Yes, my friend. Did he send you to save me? Let's go quickly." Lensys looked like a frightened little beast. Though his attire clearly marked him as a successful individual — a businessman or politician — he had lost all trace of arrogance after being tortured.

Amir didn't dwell on it, treating it as a routine assignment. He prepared to lead the way back in the direction they had come from.

Just then, a figure suddenly blocked his path.

"Another one?!" Amir's eyes narrowed as he locked onto the female Imperial Inquisitor before him, instantly going on high alert.
