After a few days, the trio were just training… at least John and Minami did… Ethan was just sitting and watching them… both Minami and John developed strategies of cooperation and teamwork; they seemed extremely foolproof.
That was until Ethan offered to be their opponent, so Ethan got ready to fight. Minami and John were nervous, but still tried to be calm and collected.
John and Minami started the fight, and John attacked by creating fireballs, and Minami used her powers to throw the fireballs at Ethan. Ethan was surprised at the number of fireballs that were being thrown at him.
But he took it as a challenge and dodged them all, and then he kicked a fireball at John. The attack landed because John had a slow reaction, and John was defeated. It was Minami's turn, so he used his superspeed to confuse her.
So he moved side to side, creating two afterimages, then three. Minami tried to lift the left one upwards, but she couldn't; it wasn't the actual one. Then she tried the middle, still nothing, she tried the right one, still couldn't lift him.
meanwhile… Ethan was watching as she was struggling to find where the real one was, so he poked her shoulder. Minami turned around and was surprise-attacked. Ethan didn't punch her or hurt her; he just tripped her and pinned her under himself by putting a hand on her shoulder.
Ethan: "You done?"
minami: "Fine, yes, I give up…"
Just then, Agent 10 walked towards Ethan and gave him a file.
Ethan: "What is this?"
agent 10: "Your rival… or nemesis or whatever he is… he's loose, you didn't keep a close eye on him, did you…"
Ethan: "You mean ghost king?"
agent 10: "Yeah, whatever his name is… he's already killed 2 people, so act fast…"
Agent 10 looked at Minami and John, who were defeated but not seriously injured.
Agent 10: "You two… go after him… consider him your leader since you two can't cooperate that much."
Ethan: "They were good… just not the best… I still beat them, and I was holding back… I think I'm just too fast for them."
The trio got ready for their first mission, so Ethan suited up, wearing his suit and his helmet, but Minami and John didn't have any suits… so in the end, they just borrowed some spare suits that the IHO had, and it was just a ski mask and black leather suits… so it looked bad…
Ethan used his superspeed to run, and John and Minami used their flight powers to follow Ethan… Ethan had no idea where the location was, so they wandered before Ethan found Ghost King while he was in the middle of his plan… which is to unleash an army of skeletons on the people…
Ethan just used his superspeed to launch himself upwards towards Ghost King, and he punched him. The punch was directed at the ground, so Ghost King was launched to the ground. Ethan landed and looked at Minami and John, who also landed next to him.
Ethan: "You two work together to keep the skeletons at bay… make sure NONE get to the people…"
John and Minami nodded and got ready when the skeletons came. Ghost King got up and put his hand on the ground. At that moment, the ground shook, and skeleton arms shot up from the street, and skeletons climbed out.
Minami and John got to work and started to kill the skeletons one by one, meanwhile… Ethan was having a staring contest with Ghost King, so Ethan took out his phone and connected it with the hidden speakers in the helmet and turned on a song, it was called "Dangerous" by NEFFEX.
Ethan sang along at first, but remembered he had to fight, so he just charged himself and waited till the beat drop… and when it cam,e he launched himself at ghost king, to Ghost King the speed was immeasurable, it was like a teleport, so he put his arms to his face to try to protect it.
Ethan just punched his stomach and launched Ghost King backwards into a wall. The wall cracked, and Ghost King immediately got up, and dark, shadowy hands shot out of his back and flew towards Ethan.
Ethan: "Two can play this game!"
Ethan suddenly launched the same number of hands out of his back, but they were glowing and yellow, unlike Ghost King's; each hand grabbed Ghost King's and stopped them in their place.
Ethan charged a beam attack and shot it at Ghost King, though it was quick. Ghost King shot the same beam out of his hand just like Ethan, but Ethan's was too powerful and overwhelmed his beam, causing it to back up towards Ghost King.
ghost king focused his energy to try to keep up, but Ethan used this opportunity to try to attack him, so he stopped shooting the beam and dodged quickly before teleporting to Ghost King and pinning him by holding both Ghost King's arms behind his back.
Ethan: "Do you give up?"
Ghost King: "hell nah… this is way too easy for me to lose"
Ethan let go of ghost king's arms, but as soon as he did that, he kicked ghost king away before pinning him on the floor and giving him a barrage of punches that finally defeated ghost king, all the skeletons turned to dust, and all went well...
Except for the broken street… and a broken wall… and some broken glasses… but… all is well… the IHO has developed a holding facility to catch villains, so they put Ghost King in it.
