Chapter 2
This is where things take a turn for the worse, correct, it get's worse. A pack of evil vampires had just burst into the ballroom out of nowhere, they have begun slaughtering anyone they see. Vampires are horrible monsters from the Dark Kingdom, they are known for their thirst for blood and their violent aggression in combat against their prey. I rip off the ballgown that was felt as tight as a rubber glove to reveal I secretly had a rather rebellious and gothic outfit underneath and I release my obsidian hair out of its ridiculous bun. A vaguely familiar man joins my side, unmasked now too, but the only thing I recognized were his silver eyes. I am also joined by Kalix, which almost made a squad, except one is definitely missing.. Erin.. My brother sees the elf fighting viciously against the cruel beasts. "Get out here you monsters!" Erin shouted, swinging his dagger carelessly. But he soon dropped in and became pinned against the wall, his heart now blaring in his ears, the sound deafening. One of the vampires has got him caught, tangled into a mortifying mess of a battle. Kalix tries to run to my best friend, he barely makes it in time. I turn to the mysterious man beside me, asking, "Have I met you before??" He turns to me, saying, "I don't believe so Merilica.." My hazel eyes widen, demanding, "Then how do you know my name?" He answers, "Who wouldn't know the name of the Princess of Alysheria?" I jolt my head away from him, but I don't know why I crave to look into his eyes once again. Kalix is struggling to make it to Erin, who is now shivering against the wall, the vampire dangerously close to his neck. Suddenly, the creature's fangs brush across one of Erin's veins, however before they can fully sink into flesh, Kalix shoves the monster away, with Erin now on the floor, shaking. "Erin.. It didn't bite you.. did it??" He frantically asks. "N-No.. Ah! B-But something's happening to me.." He gasps. A tiny pentagram had marks itself onto Erin's cheek and his left eye shifts from natural purple to red. "Oh frick.." Prince Kalix whispers. The elf then goes unconscious in Kalix's arms, shuddering violently. "We need to evacuate the palace NOW!" Kalix orders to me and the man. Reluctantly, we followed him outside of the castle. We lay Erin on the cold grass, his breathing is uneven now and black veins are crawling up his left side, where the vampire's teeth grazed him. But Erin somehow still finds the strength to get up, though he has been transformed, dark shadows faintly swirling around his fingertips. "What??" He shakily whispers. "I hope this isn't any fault of mine.." The man says. "Why would it be.." I suspiciously ask. He sighs and says, "My name is Ravyn, and I'm one of them, a vampire.. I was cast from the Dark Kingdom though, I don't give a dang about them, and I hope that place burns to the ground someday. I never wanted it to get out of hand though, we're going to need to face the Vampire Queen in order to end this." I surprisingly smirk and say, "So be it." TO BE CONTINUED..
