After that long evening and midnight Mimir decided to stay with Kyra and they could discuss how to get out while they were at it. Also discuss their systems while they were at it. While Sophia was reluctant to let go of Mimir she saw how terrified Mimir had looked as she had passed out as well. Of course it was an act but
except for Kyra no one was aware of it. Kyra followed Mimir's plans and asked Sylvian to pick her up in his arms and get her to her tent. Despite knowing Kyra was perfectly capable of doing so by herself he did not say no to such pitiful yet beautiful damselette . After the commotion died down, Sylvian sent her to the tent and left. Immediately after he left Mimir woke up as Kyra sat down with her mind absolutely blown.
"...Big sister were you an actress back in the earth?"
Meanwhile mimir was busy drinking water after all the fake sobbing and screaming back in the lake.
"hm?"
after finishing drinking water she looked at Kyra with confusion
"Why'd you say that? I was just a student in uni"
Kyra looked at her absolutely baffled
"If I didn't know your plan I would literally fall for the act honestly. You can become an actress without any issues for real"
Mimir chuckled out loud putting down her glass .
"You can call it survival instinct I guess? But hey tell me about how your system works or what's your ability?"
She sat up hugging the semi hard pillow as if they were gossipping like long old best friends.Kyra spoke up first
"My system gave the extra ability of having extra strength. It was a personal choice. I may not look that strong but my strength is crazy. As for my main class I chose assasin. It's handy. You can be in frontline or in shadows, working with any sort of blade"
Mimir nodded with positive curiosity
"Honestly when we accidentally resonated your strength is the power what helped me knock that guy back"
Mimir shrugged her head
"It was unexpected since the body I am in has a horrible stamina. I can't even carry swords . And all i get is 10% of the power of the person I resonated with "
Kyra sat close now curious as well
"How does your ability actually work?"
Then it hit Mimir. She didn't know. She doesn't know how her ability is triggered. She used it twice and both were unintentionally. Seeing her long pause Kyra raised her eyebrow
"What's wrong??"
Mimir looked at her eyes widened
"Oh my fucking god Kyra... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TRIGGER MY ABILITY "
After 10 minutes
"Okay Mimir calm down we can figure this out"
Kyra put a hand on her shoulder as Mimir nodded.
"You're right. I can't just panic. We literally just began our plan "
Mimir then opened her system
"According to my system it's a kind of enhancing ability. I don't have an ability of my own but I can resonate with a person who has it and inhance their power. In return i get to use 10% of their power"
After reading all that she looked at Kyra who was almost dozing off
"Kyra!!"
"Huh?! Oh ya I definitely listened to everything you said"
Mimir had a flashback of her friends with Kyra's words as she sighed
"Oh well my extra ability let's me find the ranks of a person while being discreet."
That's what caught Kyra's attention
"Holy shit so you can practically find strong people oh my god"
Kyra's eyes shined up as she asked her again
"Check mine! check mine! Tell me what's my rank!!"
Mimir chuckled as she summoned her system again
"System what is Kyra's rank?"
System..loading. .. ... System loaded. Answering Mimir, Ally Kyra is currently SS rank and if ability inhanced correctly she can be SSR rank.
Mimir's jaw dropped. I guess this is how she's one of the elite members of the protagonist's guild
"Holy shit Kyra you're strong as fuck. You'll be protecting me from now on"
She shook her head as Kyra chuckled excitedly
"Lol sure man!But don't forget you have a job to do."
Mimir sighed
"Oh ya.. I gotta seduce your boss here"
Mimir whined as Sylvian looked such a sweet person and Mimir was gonna play with his emotions.
Kyra hummed a little
"Don't get distracted tho. Usually in novels fake love turns real"
Mimir shrugged
"I don't believe in such things. Besides"
She looked at Kyra and smiled
"It's not like we're in a novel that this will happen"
Kyra paused for a second and then nodded
"You're right I was overthinking. Anyways What do we do now?"
Mimir's left eyebrow rose
"What do you mean by asking me? You tell me what is Sylvian planning and you're the one who played the beta game! Now spill why are you all here?"
Kyra sat straight remembering her actual mission
"I remember from the beta that Near this timeline there's a SSR level monster which attacks this forest. And that's how the protagonist's story begins. So I wanted to speed up the progress... and led some hints of some monster in this forest so the plot would start early."
Kyra paused for a while as Mimir spoke up
"You know what? That's not a bad idea. We can leave after the final boss dies. But they never said we had to maintain the original plot and timeline."
Kyra smiled brightly like a proud peacock
"Exactly! I knew I was a genius. So ya Sylvian is leading the elite members of Crestforge here to fight it ahead of time."
After maintaining silence for a few seconds Mimir gasped as an idea formed in her mind
"I found a way to get in the guild without issues!"
Kyra was shocked
"You already planned something?"
Mimir shrugged
"I don't know man. Sometimes my brain just runs fast."
Kyra nodded
"Fair enough now explain what are we doing"
"Alright then listen to my plan carefully. We have to be careful with not involving the npc's of this world so the protagonist goes our way"
Kyra nodded listening to the girls plan bery carefully as her eyes widened a while later with a little shock
"Isn't...that a little dangerous?"
Mimir smirked
"Don't worry. Up until now my resonance only has worked when I was in danger.. otherwise I doubt the protagonist will let his damsel in distress alongside the comrades just die right in front of his eyes. That wouldn't be very protagonist of him"
Kyra looked a little concerned
"I mean I agree with it no matter how evil it sounds, but don't put yourself through danger"
Mimir shrugged
"Absolutely not. Why'd I put myself in danger?! I wanna go back unscathed unlike some fantasy novels."
Kyra nodded again finally agreeing
"Fine. I'll help you out with it. Don't overdo yourself. Your current body has shit stamina and strength."
Mimir rolled her eyes at Kyra
"Yeah yeah keep flexing about it ugh. Let's go to sleep. I am so tired today!"
Kyra was about to talk back but she yawned instead.
"Ugh.. you're right. Sylvian made me do a lot of things today since others were on a investigation scout. "
Mimir chuckled a little
"Let's just go to sleep now. Goodnight Kyra!"
Kyra sighed smiling a little as well
"Good night"
The next morning
Mimir and Kyra woke up from the sound of chaos from outside their tent. Soon enough one of the guild members was outside the tent calling for Kyra
"Dame Kyra please hurry up.The investigation team has returned and the guild leader has called a meeting immediately for the Elite members "
"Alright..give me a 10 minute "
Kyra replied groggily as she was rubbing her eyes,still a little sleepy.
"Ugh Mimir you should come with me as well. The investigation team probably found the trace of the monster "
Mimir stretched her arms standing up from the bed
"Would I be allowed in the elite meeting?"
Mimir asked a little uncertain as she took the clothes Kyra gave her. Unlike her less flowy gowns these were something you could wear to explore through forest comfortably.
"Finally some proper clothes to wear instead of a goddamn dress in the forest. It was hard to run around in them!"
Kyra chuckled
"Well Yeah anyways you can join the meeting if I say you felt uncomfortable being alone in an unfamiliar place."
Mimir nodded
"Yeah not a bad idea. With how scared and innocent I looked last night he or the elite members wouldn't doubt a single thing."
As they planned Kyra took Mimir to the meeting as well. After seeing the pitiful girl hiding behind Kyra the guild members felt bad for her
"Guys let's just let her in. I mean look at her! She's barely a threat!"
A red haired guy spoke up. Mimir looked at him without making it obvious trying to figure out what kind of character he was.
"Well true and she plans to sign up for our guild anyways."
A blonde girl spoke up supporting her greatsword to a nearby wall.
After most of them being okay with it Mimir joined them to the meeting and Sylvian started the meeting officially.
Mimir smiled to herself as the investigation team started to speak up
