Chapter: The Lone Wolf

Kitae's body crumpled to the ground again, coughing, choking, spitting blood.

The air felt heavier. No one dared step forward. Yuujin Jin stood still, not even looking at him.

His eyes were already drifting elsewhere—as if he was searching for something more interesting.

He yawned again.

"…I'm feeling fucking bored."

Even his voice sounded disappointed.

Daniel Park froze. The moment Yuujin's eyes landed on him, his breath hitched.

Yuujin took a step forward.

Just one.

Daniel flinched.

But—

Clack.

A loud footstep.

A blur of blond stepped between them.

Joongoo.

His katana was now fully drawn, gleaming under the dim streetlights. His grin widened.

"Who the hell are you supposed to be?" Yuujin asked flatly, barely raising an eyebrow.

Joongoo laughed.

"Hah, me? I'm just a swordsman," he said, spinning the katana once, showing off with a cocky flair. "Here to cut down anyone in my way."

Then, coldly, he pointed the tip of the blade directly at Yuujin's chest.

"You helping Jagyeyom Na?"

Yuujin blinked slowly.

"…Who the hell is that?"

"HUH?" Joongoo looked confused.

Even the Incheon Gang and Jake Kim looked stunned.

"…So," Jake muttered, "this dude just walked into a gang war. No sides. No goal. He just... stepped in for fun?"

He narrowed his eyes.

"What is he… a fucking Goddog?"

Before anyone could reply—

Another voice cut through the silence.

"You sure can punch…"

Everyone looked up.

Kitae Kim, somehow standing again—blood pouring from his lip, eyes furious—spoke from behind Yuujin.

"But that's not enough to beat me."

Yuujin turned his head lazily, almost like it annoyed him to move.

Kitae's fist was already swinging.

He aimed for the chin, then the solar plexus, then a quick knee to Yuujin's side.

Yuujin dodged all of them. Fluidly. Effortlessly. His footwork was perfect. Like water avoiding impact.

He made no sound.

Just movement.

Kitae backed off a few steps, panting, his fists trembling. "You're just standing there… like a ghost."

Yuujin finally spoke again, bored:

"Your main weapon. Is it endurance? Or durability?"

Kitae's eyes widened. He shouted as he charged again:

"NEITHER!"

The ground beneath him cracked slightly as he leapt.

"It's BOTH—DURABILITY AND ENDURANCE!!"

But he never got close.

Yuujin suddenly blurred forward.

BAM!

A vicious knee drilled into Kitae's solar plexus, folding him like a paper doll.

Kitae gagged. The sound of air escaping his lungs echoed across the street.

He staggered back violently and crashed to the ground, coughing, wheezing, hands trembling.

"W-What a… fucking monster…" he gasped.

Yuujin exhaled.

Still no expression.

Just a deep, low yawn.

"…I'm so goddamn bored."

Joongoo watched, blade trembling slightly in his hand.

Daniel took a step back.

Even Jake's jaw was clenched now.

The entire battlefield was paralyzed.

And Yuujin?

He just stood there like none of it mattered.

Like they were all side characters in his story.
