Slowly, they began to back away from Galva, whose presence had entirely changed.
The leader of the Burned mages had chosen to awaken, betraying the natural magics.
But why? It doesn't make sense. History says that they succeeded, ultimately shattering the stones into pieces.
Was this man the real reason why the system had continued to thrive?
Suddenly, a handful of the mages raised their hands, outstretched towards Galva and the stone. The rain that fell from the night sky began to gather in their palms, forming various water-based attacks of many different kinds.
Others joined in, adding their efforts, and began to let the water launch at blinding speed, and with tremendous force.
But then suddenly, Galva vanished. The strikes passed through him and crashed into the awakening stone. Shards of the stone broke from the forces, flying away and down into the field below.
