CHAPTER 3: DESOLATED LANDSCAPE. PART 3

While Adrián was nearby, he began to look at the first pavilion with concern.

Several hours passed, and he tried many methods, which consisted of throwing several things inside, he even threw one or another corpse, but nothing reacted as when he entered.

He came to the conclusion that such pressure only decreased for living people.

Adrian could see that all the skeletons here seemed to have died when pierced by a sword. But each and every one of them had the outline of the sword through their chests, this could be noticed by the destroyed ribs, Adrian began to notice great similarities in all the skeletons.

He also took out his dagger, and compared, imagined the way it pierced a person's body, but the stabbing was different, it wasn't the same as this dagger.

But suddenly Adrián remembered, how he was almost pierced a few moments ago. He looked at his wound which was still bleeding and causing him a lot of pain.

At that moment he remembered that he had felt as if something sharp had cut him.

"It could be" – Adrián thought, as he turned around, slowly returning to the place where he was stabbed.

He could see that there was a small wooden sword in that place. Which had broken through the ground.

Adrián did not approach normally, he threw stones in all possible places, looking to see if anything new happened, when he confirmed that nothing was happening on stage.

He approached the wooden sword stuck in the ground.

Despite being in pain, he could see that the edges of the sword were the same size as the wounds that all those skeletons had made.

It was as if everything was already planned, as if someone wanted me to take that wooden sword and stick it in their chest, only then could they enter. Adrian picked up the wooden sword, it didn't weigh much, and even though he didn't see anything abnormal about it, he had almost died from this sword before.

He began to carry the wooden sword, then returned to the pavilion. He was still not sure if his theory was true.

But all the corpses on the ground had the same cut on their chests.

Adrian measured with the nearest corpse, and the length of the cut was the same as the wooden sword.

Adrian also looked at the sky, soon the night would come, and the fog would come down to the ground again. When that happened he should flee from this place. But he needed a new hiding place, from his experiences he knew that the fog would sneak around where he had hidden before.

So every time a new hiding place was created, it had to be fast. A lot of time had passed. But the book with the cultivation technique was in front of him.

It was a decision I needed to make quickly, but at the same time, I also wanted that cultivation technique. I didn't trust if I could have another chance like this, I had searched for a long time.

At the same time, he looked with great hatred towards the demon's hand, sword, and face.

That hatred and resentment was what had driven him to survive.

"I..." – Adrian gritted his teeth, at the same time clenching his fists tightly.

"I will destroy them!" – With a great roar, Adrian right in front of the pavilion door, raised the wooden sword, before stabbing it into his chest.

"Buagh!" – A large amount of blood came out of his chest, as he took a step forward, it was time to test if his theory was correct.

At the moment of taking his first step, a horrific pressure descended, but he stopped in his tracks as if he were evaluating Adrian.

At that moment, even as he spat blood, he decided to move forward relentlessly, the pain being reflected on his face, as were his bloodshot eyes.

Arriving before the skeleton sitting on that blue and brown throne, seemed easy, but the skeletons of the place, showed that it was not that way, Adrian traveled thirty steps, before the pressure began to slow down, although the pressure was less, Adrian was injured. He let out several mouthfuls of blood, while leaning on his hands to crawl himself.

Even with his mouth full of blood, Adrian would not give up so easily, so I advance ten more steps. He used the corpses to propel himself.

But his consciousness was collapsing, in addition to all his internal wounds which he caused when he moved.

"Still... I still can't give up!" – With great will in his eyes, it could be seen that the innocence of his childhood had been lost long ago, now he could only see the face of a wild being who did everything to move a little more.

But the pressure also increased, although he only had five more steps to go, Adrián had stopped. The expression on his face had become fiercer than ever, but his body didn't respond in kind.

"Come on, move!" – He shouted to himself, as he watched as the skeleton with the cultivation technique was so close.

Even with his hoarse voice, Adrian, who had already closed one eye, didn't want to lose himself. While with his one arm, he tried with all his might to reach the cultivation technique.

"Because...!" – he shouted desperately, while several tears came out of his eyes.

He screamed hoarsely, as he felt his body fall, and little by little his vision blurred.

But at that moment, while he was about to lose consciousness.

The fog came crashing down, and began to enter the pavilion, at that moment as it began to expand inwards. There was a small flash in the pavilion, as all the pressure gathered towards the main door to stop the advance of the mist.

It was a few seconds, which were enough for Adrian with his last strength to pounce on the book that the skeleton on the throne had in his bony hands.

Adrian grabbed it and it fell into his hands, but it was on the floor while the blood from his chest continued to come out nonstop.

"The ... the... I have achieved it" – Adrián said with his last strength, before closing his eyes.

When the book fell, it was as if the restrictions in the pavilion had disappeared.

The mist began to enter with all its force towards the pavilion, engulfing and eating all the skeletons. He then lunged at the skeleton on the throne, and at Adrian's body.

But at that moment, a glow came out of the eyes of the skeleton on the blue and brown throne.
