CHAPTER 2: DESOLATED LANDSCAPE. PART 2
I had walked many times on these roads in the past, really now, there was only more than desolation.
Adrián who got close enough to the destroyed pavilion. He was a little reminded of the so-called cultivators, they all served the lord of the city, and they were in charge of doing justice in the way they saw fit.
For Adrian, who was a child, hearing about cultivators was like a legend, who could soar like a rainbow through the skies, move faster than any mortal, cure any disease, and easily kill anything.
Adrian wanted that strength, that power, now that everything was destroyed, why not get it, why not get the secret of the cultivators. He didn't want to be weak, he wanted to be strong, he wanted to destroy the hand, the sword, and the face of the devil, who had taken everything from him.
Noticing that there was no danger on the perimeter, Adrian went a little deeper into the walls of the cultivators' pavilion.
He always carried a couple of stones in his hands, he had been through a lot after he survived. For this reason, prudence and his senses had saved him from dying on many occasions.
Every time he approached a new point, he threw a small stone making a noise, while he looked hidden into the distance clenching the dagger tightly.
Seeing that nothing was happening, I move forward little by little. All this was an unexplored place, so he was cautious.
Besides, it was a place only for cultivators.
As Adrian advanced, he threw a stone nearby, but at that moment the sound of a rumble resounded.
Adrian gritted his teeth, as he watched as a burst of light shot out from one of the nearby rubble toward him.
That burst of light was absolutely fast, an ordinary mortal wouldn't even be able to see it, but Adrian had been cautious and had moved far enough away to be able to dodge it narrowly.
The burst of light that shot out passed over its side and landed on the ground, revealing that it was a small sword.
"Agh...!" - However, that burst of light, caused great damage to his left side, causing blood to come out, after all he was just a mortal and a child.
Adrian at that moment took off some of his torn clothes, and tied tightly where the blood came out.
But I knew that wasn't a solution.
"I must hurry!" – he said to himself, as he advanced towards the first pavilion, the pain in his left side was horrifying, but Adrian endured as much as he could, it was not the first time he resisted such wounds. If not, how could I survive until this moment.
The first pavilion appeared in his sight, it was the entrance, the gate had been destroyed as well as the nearby buildings, it seemed that everything of value had been looted.
Adrián looked at the first pavilion, which seemed to be in the best condition. After throwing a few stones, and noticing that nothing was happening. Advance.
The door had been destroyed long ago, but you could still smell the smell of incense, it was as if it was impregnated on the walls of the pavilion.
Adrian approached slowly, looked at the pavilion, but at the same time put on a horrified expression when he took several steps back.
On the floor of the pavilion, dozens of corpses were strewn on the floor.
Many of them seemed to have been pierced by small swords.
Adrian could see that all the skeletons seemed to form a path. Although it was a path of death, after following the line of the path a little, he could tell that there was something at the end.
Little by little the figure was shown by the little morning light that entered through the first pavilion, little by little, a skeleton sitting on a throne blue as water and brown as the bark of a tree appeared in his view.
This skeleton, sitting in the middle of the room, looked like it had died a short time ago. But he had also been affected by the chewing mist.
Adrián was considering leaving the pavilion, when he could see something between the skeleton's fingers.
"That could be... a cultivation technique" – Adrián snorted, looking at the book in the skeletal hands of that dead cultivator.
That was what I was looking for all this time.
Although it could also be something else, but he did not lose hope. Even so, he didn't let his emotions control him, so he voted a stone towards the skeletons, he didn't know who these people were. But now he didn't care, when the stone fell to the ground, there was no change.
Adrian thought there was nothing dangerous. So he began to take a step.
However, before his foot touched the ground. A pressure swept through his body, and he flew out of the pavilion.
"Buagh" – Adrian threw a mouthful of blood from such a reaction, that gust could not kill him, but it could hurt, so he did not expect such a thing to happen.
After experiencing such an event, Adrián got up again, although with a lot of effort.
He began to ponder what had happened, at the same time, he was thinking of a way to enter, he knew nothing about cultivators, so although he was always alert, and cautious in all aspects, he could not imagine that an invisible hand would send him flying through the air. Although I didn't know if it was a hand, but that's how I felt.
