Chapter 34 - Patron of Stars: Architect of My Destiny (Part 2)

In the darkness, I ran alone in there while shouting for someone' name that I knew. Suddenly, my parents from Earth appear right in front of me. As I try to reach them, it's only getting far away from me. "Father, Mother! Please don't go! Don't leave me alone!"

Their appearance disappears when I start to feel mana surge into my body.

I began to hear someone calling for my name. "Big brother, wake up!"

I could recognize that voice. It is my little brother, Elijah!

I try to wake up and get away from this place. My face feels like something brush against it and finally it sits on my face.

The next day, I feel the sunlight shining brightly till it disturbs my sleep. I could hear the sound of a bird chirping.

I rose up from my slumber and slowly brushed my eyes and saw a bird on the window. I noticed that I was in someone's room.

"Huh? Where am I?" I look around while feeling confused.

The room is pretty big while furnished and decorated with a high quality product.

I turned around and saw Elijah was standing beside my bed. "Brother, you are awake!" Elijah exclaims.

I rub my eyes again, feeling a bit dizzy, and attempt to sit up. "Brother, take your time. You need to rest," Elijah urges gently.

"I'm fine, Eli. Don't worry about me," I reassure him, though my body still feels weak.

I brush my brother's cheek softly and he smiles at me. I can see he is wearing someone else's clothes.

As I was about to ask him, I noticed someone was coming from outside the corridor.

Suddenly, someone comes and enters the room. I see the guy that we found in the forest and I immediately try to get up. I was astonished that his presence carried an air of distinction that was hard to ignore. A cascade of sun-kissed blonde hair framed his face, hinting at a heritage that spoke of royalty and privilege. The golden strands seemed to catch every glint of light, casting an ethereal glow around him.

His eyes, a mesmerizing shade of emerald green, held a depth that seemed to hold untold stories. They were eyes that had witnessed both opulence and adversity, a window to a life lived with complexities beyond the ordinary. Arched like the elegant curve of a falcon's tail, his eyebrows added a touch of intrigue to his gaze, drawing attention to the vibrant pools of green that held a world of secrets.

His lips, elegantly thin and impeccably shaped, bore a trace of a knowing smile. They spoke of a person who was comfortable navigating both the grandeur of his lineage and the subtleties of genuine human connection. His smile held a magnetic quality that effortlessly drew people in, inviting them to discover the layers of his personality that lay beneath the surface.

Dressed in attire that seamlessly combined regal sophistication with a touch of modern sensibility, he embodied a fusion of eras. A well-tailored jacket in a deep shade of forest green exuded an aura of authority, while still allowing his natural charisma to shine through. Beneath it, a crisp white shirt with intricate detailing at the collar added an understated elegance, a nod to his lineage without being ostentatious.

With every step he took, it was as if the room itself was aware of his presence. His demeanor was a blend of confidence and approachability, a balance that made him intriguingly relatable despite his noble heritage. The play of light on his hair, the enigmatic gaze of his green eyes, and the subtle curve of his lips worked in harmony to create an image that captured attention and sparked curiosity—a figure both princely and personable, inviting readers to immerse themselves in his world.

He noticed that I was trying to get up and immediately rushed to help me.

"Hey, it's okay. You don't have to push yourself, kid" he said.

"Thank you, sir, for saving my life and taking care of both of us," I replied.

He chuckled. "Don't mention it. I've done nothing compared to what you did for me. I'm the one who should be grateful to you for saving my life. The next day I checked up on you, your body had already healed itself after the doctor treated you."

"I'm sorry I can't do much; I passed out," I said.

"You passed out because you exhausted your magic fighting the Vylers and healing me. That's why you collapsed," he explained.

I nodded, understood his words. But I wanted to clear up my curiosity and asked him, "Excuse me, are you some kind of royalty? May I know who you are and where I am?" I asked hesitantly.

He chuckled again. "Rest assured, I'm a good person. Let me properly introduce myself. I'm the Royal Duke Jake IV Exvlermin, and you are in my mansion right now."
