Adrian's POV
The silence in the room was heavier than I thought it would be and it lingered, pressing against my chest like a weight I couldn't shake off. I turned my gaze toward my father, searching for a hint, a flicker of expression that could tell me what was on that device Alpha Dracan had just watched. But nothing came. His face was calm, unreadable and as cold as stone.
"Dracan here and I have reached an agreement," he finally said, his tone clipped and firm, addressing the elder alpha who was mediating rather than anyone else in the room.
Alpha Dracan said nothing. Not even a word.
"Adrian will file for another divorce," my father continued, his voice steady but loud enough for every soul to hear. "This time with his name on it. He is the one divorcing Elizabeth Hayes. Not the other way around."
He made sure those words carried, echoing through the walls like a final verdict.
