Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: New Homeroom Teacher

Chapter 29: New Homeroom Teacher

[You left the high-class hotel at lightning speed, even paid for a cab, as if some woman was chasing after you.]

[You have returned to school. The current time is 7:09 AM, about ten minutes left before class begins.]

[You immediately rushed back to the dorm, changed from your party suit into your school uniform, then hurried to the Britain classroom.]

As soon as Eikou entered the classroom, he saw two Round Table Knights chatting.

"Good morning, Sir Eikou, you're finally back."

Seeing him rush in, Gawain waved in greeting.

Eikou walked straight to their seats, looking a bit embarrassed as he asked:

"Last night... after I got drunk, did anything happen...?"

He didn't dare ask too specifically, afraid that this morning's situation might have been seen by too many people.

"Nothing at all, we just brought you—completely wasted—back to the hotel room."

Gawain answered very straightforwardly.

"And after that, nothing else happened? Nothing suspicious?"

Gawain immediately recalled the glass of water of life Tristan had left on Eikou's bedside table.

"Oh that? Don't worry about it. It was just a gift Sir Tristan prepared for you."

"A gift…?!"

So that woman on the bed… was a gift that Tristan had prepared for him?

No way! How could Tristan do something so degenerate?!

And yet Tristan shamelessly admitted: "Not exactly a gift, just a bit of care from a friend! Mordred even told me not to do it, but I knew you'd need it eventually (like when you wake up thirsty in the middle of the night)."

"What the fuck, Mordred was there too?!"

"Yeah, everyone was in your room at that time."

What the hell, was last night some kind of group orgy? Did watching him count as a kind of play for them?

If Artoria ever found out how the Round Table Knights behaved behind her back, she'd probably cry!

These so-called "social parties," they really weren't any different from what he imagined—in other words, they were just the prelude to a massive group debauchery.

Eikou immediately grabbed his head, feeling like he had no face left to show anyone.

"Gawain, lend me your Excalibur Galatine. I'm going to slash this bastard right now, consider it cleaning house on behalf of the Lion King!"

"Sir Eikou, I'm not saying you have to be forgiving, but let Sir Tristan off the hook. His brain is a little weird sometimes, but he means no harm."

Gawain just patted Eikou's shoulder with a sympathetic expression.

"We Round Table Knights, more or less, have all been teased by him like this, so we're used to it by now."

"...Just how wild are you Round Table Knights normally, huh?!"

[After some probing, you finally managed to clear up the misunderstanding with them.]

[Turns out Tristan just gave you a glass of "midnight refreshment", although that alone was still pretty outrageous.]

[In the end, you still couldn't figure out how that woman got into the room, or why she ended up in bed with you.]

"So, just what the hell actually happened last night…"

Gawain handed Eikou a bottle of mineral water.

"Mind telling us a bit?"

Eikou shook his head rapidly like a rattling drum—there was no way he could talk about what happened last night.

"Absolutely not. This is a secret that must never be revealed to humans…"

"So you already told Merlin then?"

"Huh? Where'd Merlin come from?"

"Because I get the feeling Merlin, you know… in every sense of the word, really isn't human." Gawain chuckled.

"Speaking of Merlin,"

Tristan suddenly spoke up, and to everyone's surprise, a faint smile appeared on his handsome face.

For someone like Tristan—gloomy and perpetually melancholic—to smile like that, by normal standards, it might as well be considered manic laughter.

"Tristan, what's got you in such a good mood today? Did you flirt with some married lady again?"

Eikou asked curiously, then seriously added:

"Word of advice, don't even think about touching Brunhilde-san from the class next door. That one's a literal landmine—if her husband finds out, he'll seriously beat you to death."

"No, no, not that. I've got one bad news and one good news," Tristan leaned in and said, "Our homeroom teacher from Class Britain—Merlin—his online scam finally got exposed, and the person he scammed was actually a Grand. Merlin-sensei got beaten to a pulp, so he won't be able to teach for a while."

"…Damn, that escalated quickly."

Eikou and Gawain immediately leaned backward in exaggerated unison, then let out a long sigh.

Gawain asked, "So… what's the bad news?"

"That was the bad news."

"Then that means we got two good newses—double happiness,"

Eikou thought to himself that Gawain could be pretty savage sometimes.

Or rather, this guy was just blunt. If he didn't like someone, he made it obvious—he'd always hated both Merlin and Mordred.

"The good news is," Tristan continued, "I just heard that we're getting a new Homeroom Teacher soon. According to the other teachers, this person is no joke—an actual native Brit, a king, has a whole band of knights, blonde hair, and supposedly really good-looking."

Eikou gave a thumbs-up: "Awesome, Tristan. Can't believe you got all those details but somehow didn't ask for the one thing that actually matters—their name."

"With that many clues, who even needs to ask? It's Our King coming to teach us!"

"All Hail Our King!" x2

Gawain and Tristan looked like they were about to embark on a pilgrimage to Avalon.

"Ugh, it's just a little thing, and you guys woke up the whole class for it."

Eikou casually shook his head.

He wasn't like these two Round Table Knights. After playing FGO for so many years, there was nothing fresh about Artoria to him anymore.

Seeing Takeuchi's same drawing style for years, the poses never changing—he figured it was a miracle he didn't have PTSD from the Ahoge King already.

"But you two better hold off on popping the champagne. What if it's the male version of Arthur? If Arthur Prototype really shows up, Gawain, wouldn't your Prince Charming image get totally overshadowed?"

"As long as it's Our King, gender doesn't matter—we welcome them all!" x2

The two Round Table Knights replied in unison.

"Alright then, good luck to you both."

"Wait, Sir Eikou, we're not done! This new teacher has one more very important trait. Aren't you even a little curious?"

Tristan called him back.

"Not curious at all. This is officially the most uninteresting news I've heard this century." He didn't even bother turning around.

"This new Homeroom Teacher's class is Lancer!"

At that, Eikou froze on the spot.

"L… Lancer?"

"Lancer."

Tristan nodded.

"T-the 'super-sized' version?"

"The 'super-sized' version."

"I see…"

So it was Lancer Artoria—the tall one with the voluptuous figure, sexy in every possible way.

No wonder all the boys in class looked so hyped today—it was because they were waiting for the new 'super-sized' Homeroom Teacher!

"..."

Eikou was silent for a moment, then quickly sat up properly in his seat, posing with his most handsome and exemplary "model student" look.

"Do either of you have any hair spray? Lend me some, please—I want to leave a good impression on the new Homeroom Teacher. I'll pay 5 QP!"
