Senzo had prepared everything for this moment; his laptop and headphones were stored away inside the special phone's storage. And he sat upright, just staring in front of him, awaiting the arrival of Hyoubu.
While he was also watching everything that was happening above him, inside the room Yugiri was held.
"Watching it on TV and in real life is a rather big difference, huh?" Senzo mused, eyes locked on the scene unfolding above.
While Hyoubu was whipping the floor with the monster, Senzo could feel his heartbeat spike; finally, he would be able to join Pandra, hopefully, and leave this solitary lifestyle behind.
It wasn't too bad the first couple of days, but after a week it got boring rather quickly. He had immense respect for Yugiri, who had endured this while they were using her for all kinds of inhuman experiments.
But suddenly a chill ran down his spine as he looked at Hyoubu, who stood in front of Kan and the skinny man after he had just made quick work of the monster.
"Did I perhaps forget something important?" he muttered to himself, hoping this bad feeling was just a fluke.
But of course it wasn't, as he suddenly felt Hyoubu. Yugiri and Momotarou disappeared and saw Andy rushing out of the building like his life depended on it.
"Ah. Now I remember what I forgot." He muttered with a deadpan expression on his face as everything around him was blown to smithereens.
However, he didn't panic; instead, he casually got up and crushed the prison door in front of him, without blinking an eye.
As he casually walked through all the explosions, as debris, glass shards, and all kinds of matter were thrown around in the massive explosions, no one could approach within a meter of him.
Not even the explosions themselves; it looked like he was an untouchable god walking amongst mortals.
"This is quite something, I must say." Senzo said as he started ascending slowly.
Walking on a ladder that was completely invisible, with explosions surrounding him from all sides. He quickly took a couple selfies to commemorate this moment. It was his first time actually utilizing his other abilities since coming to this world.
And it felt awesome, like he was the king of the world, but once he reached a high enough altitude, he quietly made his way toward Yugiri.
Who was bawling her eyes out while Hyoubu looked around, not knowing what to do.
"Calm down, Yugiri, I'm fine." He said as he appeared right next to her in an instant and gently patted her head.
"Nnn?" She said, rubbing the tears out of her eyes as she slowly opened her eyes and looked toward where the familiar voice came from.
"S-Senzooo!!!" She shouted as she jumped straight into his embrace.
"Yes, yes, it is me. So please stop crying." He reassured her while hugging her.
Momotarou and Hyoubu looked at Senzo with alarmed looks on their faces. Both took fighting stances to prepare for anything that might happen.
"Yugiri, who is this?" Hyoubu carefully inquired. Keeping his eyes peeled on the young man that was hugging her.
"Ah, Major, this is Senzo. And he kept me company in the prison while I was very lonely," she said with a slight smile on her face.
The moment Hyoubu saw that smile, his body visibly relaxed. As if just by saying that he was certain the young man wasn't an enemy.
"So, Senzo? Why were you in that prison? And if you can survive something like that and appear out of nowhere, I assume you're a rather high-level esper?"
"Well, you could say that. Major? Mister? Or what should I call you?" Senzo replied, gently putting Yugiri back down.
Now they stood facing off, staring deeply into each other's eyes. Both were clearly evaluating the other.
"Heh, not bad. My name is Hyoubu Kyousuke, the leader of Pandra. And now it's your turn." Hyoubu said, pointing at Senzo.
He cleared his throat and, with a slight bow, also introduced himself.
"I am Senzo Kazuko. Also known by the codename The Pivot in Babel. Also, even if you try to dig up information about me, it's futile. They deleted everything about me and wanted to have me locked up forever there," he said while pointing at the hospital.
Hyoubu raised an eyebrow at the young man's introduction. Not only did he have a codename in Babel. But everything about him was deleted? Those seemed like very serious measures.
But The Pivot—where had he heard that name before? It felt a little familiar. Ah, it can't be. As realization dawned upon him, he looked the rather good-looking young man up and down and gave him a satisfied nod.
"Interesting, so how about it? Want to join Pandra as well. Like that guy?" Hyoubu then extended his hand while pointing dismissively at Andy, who was still looking at the two in shock.
"Yugiri is rather fond of you, so I'm sure you'll be a big help," he added.
Senzo rubbed his chin for a while, acting like he was thinking about the offer. But he had long decided to join Pandra not only to complete the missions but also because he had genuinely become quite attached to Yugiri.
Yugiri looked at Senzo with round eyes and a pleading look on her face. Her hands were clasped together in front of her chest.
"Sure, I'd be glad to join Hyoubu." Senzo then said.
And the two exchanged a firm handshake, Hyoubu with a grin on his face. This trip was a massive success. Not only had he saved Yugiri and found someone interesting but now another high level esper had joined their cause.
"Let's go then. The crew is awaiting my return."
Then he turned around and started walking toward the empty harbor behind the mountain they were standing on.

"I thought someone was coming to pick you up." Andy said after they arrived at the harbor. But the only thing he saw was the sea and birds of all sizes flying around.
"They are already here," Hyoubu replied.
"I don't see a single boat." Andy remarked.
"Heh."
With a knocking motion suddenly they heard the sound of glass cracking, and there it was, a massive boat, hiding in plain sight.
"Spatial camouflage?! On that large an area?" Andy shouted, looking at the massive boat that was now fully visible.
"That's quite the ride."
"Yes. This is our boat. The catastrophe."
