"So his ESP control horns were broken, heh, this is the perfect time to test out your unrestrained power!" Kan said, looking fanatically at the monster in front of him.
"Gwohhh." It whimpered.
After regaining its bearings, it glared at Andy and Hyoubu, but something made it aim for Hyoubu and the little girl instead of Andy.
But Hyoubu didn't mind at all; on the contrary, it made his job much easier here.
"Listen. Stay right here," he gently ordered Yugiri while patting her head.
"Yes, major."
"Hmm?"
Hyoubu saw something weird and took a closer look at Yugiri's arm. And what he saw sealed their fate. Two tubes were stuck in her arm.
clearly used to suck out her blood, for who knows what kind of disgusting experiments those bastards were conducting.
"Major?"
Hyoubu carefully pulled the tubes out of her slender arm; he had no more time to play here any longer.
"Uuh!" The major gently removed the tubes, leaving Yugiri grimacing.
Hyoubu threw the tubes far away and turned around, now facing the monster once more.
"Release Unlimited!" he shouted while turning the small badge on his collar around, and his whole atmosphere suddenly changed.
A storm of immense psychic energy erupted from his body in violent swirls of black and violet light, lashing out like invisible blades. The ground trembled beneath him, cracks spiderwebbing from his feet as debris lifted, caught in the storm's gravitational pull.
His white hair, once sleek and combed back, now whipped wildly in the rising winds, untamed and jagged, fanning upward with unnatural motion as if the energy itself reshaped it.
A perfectly round wound became visible on his forehead—a clear reminder of all he had been through.
Exhaling softly, he looked at the monster with a cold, emotionless, and cruel glint in his eyes.
"What?!" Kan and the skinny man looked at the Hyoubu surrounded by visible psychic energy with pure shock.
Andy, who had sprinted down the stairs, also stared at Hyoubu.
"That's Hyoubu?!"
The monster, on the other hand, felt the threat of the young man floating in front of it.
The next second it charged another beam and hurriedly shot it at Hyoubu.
"Ogaah!"
Hyoubu, on the other hand, just walked toward it, surrounded by the overwhelming amount of visible psychic energy.
The beam didn't bother him in the slightest as he straight up ignored it. And to everyone's surprise, it had zero effect on Hyoubu.
Who, in one fluid motion, pointed his index finger at the monster, which, without the slightest possibility to resist, was flung against the iron wall.
Then after that he smashed the monster into the ceiling; there was no place for mercy for a monstrosity like that. The only mercy he could give it was to kill it.
"This is Hyoubu's power!" Andy said, burning this unbelievable scene into his memory.
"My pitiable brethren. I pray that you may rest in peace." He casually said.
And the moment the sentence had left his mouth and his words hung in the air, the monster was blown up into smithereens without the slightest chance to resist or counterattack.
Blood splattered everywhere, as Kan and the skinny man looked at the scene in front of them with disbelief.
Their perfect soldier had just been defeated without any chance at resistance, and they were trying to use that monster in their experiments? They should have never even brought that damn monster here in the first place!
Blood and pieces of skin continued to fall from above, as Andy tried to dodge as much of it as possible.
Yugiri, on the other hand, just looked at the spectacle in silence, with wide eyes.
"Uehh!"
Suddenly Andy was hit by a rather large piece of skin right on his head.
"Gwawawa! Wait, something's moving inside here!"
After he shouted that a weird-looking creature broke out of the rather large piece of meat.
"Puhah!" Everyone near it suddenly felt an echo in their heads.
"Where am I?" the hamster immediately exclaimed.
"Momotarou!" Yugiri shouted; seeing her long-lost friend appear out of that monster was quite a surprise. But she had been through a lot, so she quickly forgot all about it as she embraced the small animal.
"Ohhh! You're okay!"
"What is that thing? It's talking!" Andy said, pointing at the small mammal.
"Who the hell are you?" it countered immediately.
Hyoubu smiled slightly at the wholesome scene in front of him; that girl had endured more than enough. It was good that Momotarou was still alive.
"If you don't leave soon, you will die." He casually mentioned.
"What? Why?" Andy asked, with a confused look on his face.
"This place will soon be gone."
Immediately after saying that, explosions erupted all over the room, but at least it was still intact for now.
Kan and the skinny man looked with absolute horror at the destruction taking place, unable to believe what they were witnessing.
"How? How could this happen?" Kan muttered, his earlier arrogance nowhere to be found.
But before he could do anything, Hyoubu had arrived in front of him and the skinny man.
"There is a lot I need to repay you for."
"So let me do that right now."
With that he snapped his fingers, and the whole place was blown up, but he himself, Yugiri, and Momotarou were teleported out of the building right before the detonation.
As they watched the whole hospital explode into pieces from a nearby mountain, he heaved a sigh of relief.
"Time stops for all eternity." After saying that, he twisted the symbol on his collar once more, and the visible psychic waves surrounding him vanished.
"Major! Why did you do that?" Yugiri exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't dare look at the now destroyed hospital; just thinking of her friend that was still trapped there made her heart tighten.
"Hmm? What do you mean?"
"M-My friend was still there. Waiting for you to rescue him." She barely managed to say as tears streamed down her face.
"..." Hyoubu had no idea what to do now. According to the information, only Yugiri should have been there. Whom could she be talking about?
While contemplating, he suddenly heard loud pants from behind him; casually turning around, he saw an exhausted Andy stumbling toward them.
"I was almost blown up, you bastard!" he growled.
"Yeah, good job staying alive." Hyoubu casually said, still trying to console the now bawling Yugiri.
"If you were going to teleport, you could've taken me with you!" He retorted.
"No, I couldn't have."
"What? Why not?"
"After all, your power is actually an anti-esp power. Right?"
Andy just sighed with a nod and fell on his behind. Trying to catch his breath.
"By the way, why is the little lady crying like that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the scene in front of him.
The little girl was bawling her eyes out while Hyoubu and Momotarou were trying to console her.
Now Hyoubu couldn't help but sigh, "Apparently there was someone else held even deeper in this prison, and she had become quite fond of him."
"What! Are you serious?!" Andy shouted, his back straightening as his full attention was now aimed at the place where once the hospital stood.
