Chapter One: The Beginning
Amid an Umayyad wedding celebration, a group of young intruders sneak into the palace, heading toward the room of the groom — the caliph's son — to steal something of importance.
Two of them enter the room while their friend keeps watch from the hallway. Suddenly, a beautiful woman appears and enters the room, catching them off guard. A fight breaks out. The boy outside runs down the corridor, while the other two leap out of the window.

A few days earlier...
In a small farm in the eastern Arabian Peninsula, a brother and sister are tilling the soil. Suddenly, their uncle Samir calls out:
Samir: "Imran, Nazek! Come here!"
Imran: "Let's go, Nazek."
They drop their farming tools and walk through a rice field toward their small clay home. Inside, they find their uncle sitting, visibly tense and concerned.
Samir: "The tribe of Banu Rashid has declared war on us. They claim it's over a matter of honor."
Imran & Nazek (shocked): "Should we be worried?"
Samir: "If things were normal, I'd say no. But our tribe's sheikh — Sheikh Ali — has summoned me."
Nazek: "Why does he want to see you, Uncle?"
Samir: (laughs) "Apparently, I'm one of the few who still knows how to fight and use magic."
Samir: "Pack your things. We're heading to the tribal council in Basra."
They begin packing while Samir instructs the servants to care for the farm. The three mount their horses and begin their journey to Basra.
The sun shines beautifully, casting golden light across their faces. The wind stirs their hair, and their hearts are filled with a mix of fear and uncertainty.
Imran: "Uncle, how did you learn magic? And when will you teach me?"
Nazek: "Ignore this fool, Uncle."
Imran and Nazek bicker playfully. Samir chuckles, then says:
Samir: "I learned magic in the tribe's military unit. And yes, I'll teach you, Imran… you too, Nazek."
Nazek is surprised.
---
As they travel, they take a break under the trees to rest the horses. Samir begins teaching Imran and Nazek basic self-defense techniques, then they resume the journey and stop at a roadside inn for food.
Innkeeper: "As-Salam Alaikum (Peace be upon you). What would you like to order?"
Samir: "Three bowls of stew, please."
The innkeeper notices Samir's sword and comments:
Innkeeper: "That's a fine blade. Are you a fighter? Did you fight in the recent battle?"
Samir: "That's none of your business. What battle are you referring to?"
The innkeeper's face darkens with sorrow.
Innkeeper: "Al-Husayn, son of Ali ibn Abi Talib, was martyred by the Umayyad army."
Imran, Nazek, and Samir are stunned.
Samir: "I never imagined things would go this far…"
Innkeeper: "My name is 'Absi. Are you all headed to Basra?"
Imran: "Yes."
Samir shoots Imran an angry glare.
Absi: "I want to visit my grandfather in Basra, but the innkeeper forces me to work nonstop. Can I come with you?"
Samir: "No."
Nazek: "What skills do you have, Absi?"
Absi: (laughs) "I'm great at eating and cooking!"
Suddenly, a group of powerful-looking men enter the inn. Samir immediately senses their intimidating aura.
Absi (whispers): "No, no, no... they're the Warriors of Darkness."
One of the warriors locks eyes with Samir in disdain.
Warrior: "You! Do you use magic?"
Samir: "And if I do?"
Warrior: "Then you must die."
The warrior charges at Samir. Just before their swords clash, Samir draws his blade and blocks the strike.
It has begun — the ashes of the peninsula are about to rise.
End of Chapter One.
