Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

Disclaimer:

Hello people out there, this is my first time—I mean, my first time publishing a romance genre on this platform. I've written a lot of romance stories, but I didn't publish them because I didn't feel like writing and publishing. I recently decided to publish it; it had been sitting in my Wattpad drafts, but it could potentially become a feature on this platform. It already existed on Wattpad, so here it is. I'm going to have to study the romance genre now. This isn't SPG—but does it have SPG? I forgot. I hope you'll enjoy reading these. I think this will be a tough situation. This author is confusing. Please support. Bye.

A/N: A reminder to all readers: the characters, setting, and events in this story are purely the imagination of a writer, and I hope you understand. There might be grammatical errors, man, because I didn't edit this work of mine. Thank you very much.

-------------------------------------------

Forever? What is forever, really? Is it true that the word "FOREVER" exists in real life? Or is it just a fantasy that exists only in pocketbooks, novels, and comics? This is the only question Mariely always asks herself while thinking again.

She harbors a hopeless romanticism, perpetually dreaming of finding the man she will love. Mariely ponders the significant query in her mind.

Are you really ready to be in a relationship, Mariely Faith Abad-Celestial? She found herself wondering.

No, not that question. Here it is, the question: will anyone really like you? Stop fantasizing like that; you're not even a woman who gets courted, because you're just a normal woman. Mariely is talking to herself in front of the mirror again and arguing with herself.

And, my God, are you in love, sis? You have pimples again. What men like today are those who are beautiful, have curves, have big breasts, are tall, and are fair-skinned.

Look at yourself, Faith, and see if you meet the standards of men today. What? She stared at herself in the mirror again.

No, right? So, stop it, okay? She even scolded herself.

Forever? Being forever single might mean there's still a chance. She would just laugh at what she was saying whenever that word crossed her mind.

If forever is truly real, I wish there were no bitter people! Mariely added, shaking her head and talking to herself, even though no one was listening. This is what she does when she has nothing to do: she talks to herself.

She's a twenty-one-year-old recent graduate with a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree, majoring in Filipino.

She had just finished college, but her expectations and dream boy still hadn't arrived.

Maybe they just got stuck in traffic. Traffic is really heavy right now. She said she was just laughing at all of that.

Hey, Ely, just focus on the dream you're pursuing, that you'll be the best teacher in the world, and then you're still going to take the board exam, you idiot. Please try to stay focused on your board exam. reminded herself.

You need to concentrate on your goal, and you also need to manage your TOR. You'll be going home soon, and your dream job will finally begin. So, calm down your pussy; you'll die a virgin. Accept that.

She just sighed and left the mirror; she was also hungry from what she was doing.

She's the kind of woman who is simple-minded, cheerful, and talkative. Of course, a teacher wouldn't be a teacher without being talkative, practicing their so-called "communication skills." Let's just say she's a naturally beautiful woman, but you wouldn't immediately notice it; she's not very tall or lacking in height, but she has a big heart.

In her twenty-one years of existence on earth, she had never experienced being courted; in other words, no one paid attention to her. Perhaps this is due to her lack of physical beauty.

Will I be able to see him? Or will I just end up being an old maid? She just found herself wondering; she was shaking her head.

Ely, focus. She even scolded herself; she needed to get ready. She's going to her school to get her transcript of records because she has many things to take care of.

Sigh! This is what they call real-life reality. Well, welcome to the real world. She could only say it in her mischievous voice.
