Chapter 24 - CHAPTER 24: DIVINE INTERVENTION

"Where are we? And who are you?" Breaton asked, his eyes scanning the unfamiliar surroundings.

"We are in the moment outside of time," the man replied. "And to answer your other question, my name is—Me"

But before he could finish, a voice boomed from behind him. "Meco!!!!!!!! Why are you interfering with the mortals? We are not here for that. We are here to check on the minor deities, not to interfere with their world!"

A figure appeared, its presence radiating immense power. The man's eyes flicked toward the newcomer, a hint of annoyance crossing his face.

"Ah, Jokan," he said, his voice dripping with a mixture of respect and irritation. "Always so quick to judge."

Jokan's gaze fell upon Breaton and the others. "You know the rules, Meco. We are not to interfere with the mortal realm unless it is in peril," Jokan said.

"Oh, come on, Jokan, I didn't do much, just one small change," Meco said with a sigh.

"I'm going to tell Mom on you," Jokan said with an evil smile.

"Please, you think I'm scared of my sister? Go ahead and tell her, I dare you," Meco said with a fearless expression.

"Okay, I will make sure to tell her you said that," Jokan said with a smile.

Meco began to panic, then dropped to his knees and grabbed onto Jokan's leg, rubbing tears and snot on it. "You little tattletale, please don't tell my sister what I said."

Jokan's smile faltered for a moment, and then he burst out laughing. "Gotcha!" he said, chuckling.

Meco looked up at Jokan, his face still smeared with tears and snot. "You were just teasing me?" he asked, his voice laced with relief.

Jokan nodded, still grinning. "Yeah, I was just messing with you. Don't worry, your secret is safe... for now."

Meco let out a sigh of relief and stood up, wiping his face on his sleeve. "You're a mean one, Jokan."

Breaton and the others watched the exchange in confusion. "Um, what's going on here?" Breaton asked, looking at Meco and Jokan.

Meco gestured vaguely. "Just a family thing. Don't mind us."

Okay, I have a question: who are, or rather, what are you people?" Buveur asked. Jokan and Meco just looked at them and smiled.

"Right, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, my name is Meco, and I am the god of time. And this is Jokan; he is the god of creation," Meco said with a smile.

Breaton's eyes widened in surprise. "Gods? You're gods?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.

Meco nodded, his smile still plastered on his face. "Yes, we are deities from a realm beyond your own. Jokan here is responsible for shaping the very fabric of reality, while I oversee the flow of time itself."

"If you are gods, can you help us deal with Fi-six?" Breaton asked with a hopeful expression.

"So, there's a Fi-six in this universe too, and he's just as evil," Jokan thought to himself with a frown.

"Sorry, but no. If the universe is not in danger, then we cannot interfere," Meco said. "Is there not a magic Defense Force or something like that in this universe to protect the ordinary from the extraordinary?" he asked.

"Yes, there is one. They call themselves the League of Enders," Olissa said, taking a step forward.

"Well, then, I shall send you to get help from them," Jokan said. Then he snapped his fingers, and Buveur, Olissa, and Breaton disappeared.

"Jokan, did you really have to send them away?" Meco asked with a sigh.

"Yes, I did. It's best not to get involved, at least for now. Don't forget the name Fi-Six has a lot of meaning, especially to Tiffany-Lee and James," Jokan replied.

"What do you think those two would do if they heard that name?" Jokan asked with a frown.

"I understand what you're saying, but he is not the same Fi-Six," Meco said.

Just then, another being appeared and spoke. "Hey, Jokan, Meco, we found a beach to relax on, so come on, everyone else is waiting on the two of you hurry up, or I will kick your butts."

The being said her name was Jolee. "Oh, Jolee, don't worry, we're coming," Jokan and Meco said in unison.

"Humph, that's what I like to hear," Jolee said, then she disappeared.

"You know, your sister is just as scary as mine." Meco said.

"Will what do you expect my sister Jolee is the goddess of destruction so of course she scary." Jokan said with a smile.

"Well, like mother, like daughter. Meco said then he and jokan started laughing

Meanwhile, back at the headquarters of the League of Enders, the alarm blared loudly, echoing through the headquarters. Gus's eyes snapped towards the control panel, his gaze locking onto the flashing screen.

"What's going on?" he asked, his voice sharp with urgency.

One of the technicians quickly checked the system, his fingers flying across the keyboard. "Sir, we've got a sighting of three individuals at the entrance," the technician said.

"Dispatch a team to that location at once," Gus said his voice firm.

The technician relayed Gus's orders over the intercom: "All available personnel, please report to the main entrance. Intruders have been spotted. Be aware, there may be armed and dangerous individuals, so proceed with caution."

The words echoed through the corridors, and League of Enders personnel swiftly responded, rushing to the main entrance. In the command room, Gus watched the situation unfold on the screens, his eyes fixed on the trio outside.

"Alright, let's get a team in position," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "I want to know who these individuals are and what they want."

His team nodded, quickly moving to secure the area. Gus's eyes remained on the screens, watching as the team surrounded the entrance.

"Open the comms channel," Gus ordered. "Let's see if they'll respond."

The technician nodded, activating the comms system. Gus's voice boomed through the speakers outside.

"Who are you?" Gus asked, his voice firm but controlled, echoing through the entrance area.

Breaton, Olissa, and Buveur looked at each other uncertainly before Breaton stepped forward.

"We... we need help," Breaton said, his voice hesitant. "We're looking for the League of Enders. We've heard you can help us deal with... Fi-six."
