Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Love Spell

Meeting Dawn Bill was like magic.

For a moment, I thought the midnight fairies had cast a spell over me.

He looked unreal, powerful and polished in a way I'd only seen in magazines.

He was older than me by maybe 15 years, but that didn't bother me.

If anything, it made him even more perfect.

I've always found comfort in older men, the way they move, the way they speak, the calm control in their eyes. And he had all of that, and more.

He was one of the son's of the Bill family and heir to Rosewell Holdings.

Even before his twenties, he had already made a name for himself winning city wide awards, expanding his family's empire, and appearing on every major media platform. And the way he carried himself like he knew exactly who he was and who the world expected him to be made it impossible not to stare.

if Dawn Bill is a Book, I Luna have memories it off heart. Anything for love and my love from afar.

Who's that? I whispered to Mary, nudging her as the spotlights hit the stage.

She blinked like she just came out of a trance. That's Dawn Bill. You don't know him?

I've heard of him, but this is my first time seeing him in real life, I said softly.

Behind us, Ben's voice came low and unimpressed. You're dreaming again, Luna.

I turned to look at him. And if I am?

He shook his head. Dreams like that leave scars. Just be careful.

I tried to ignore his tone, but something about his words stayed with me.

Still, I couldn't look away from Dawn.

He stood in the middle of his family, smiling gracefully as he was introduced to other elite families.

Everything about him was smooth the way he adjusted his cufflinks, the way his eyes scanned the room, the way people leaned into him like he was gravity itself.

Then he stepped forward to speak:

My family has always believed in the roots of this city, his voice echoed across the garden.

We are nothing without the people who build it, who protect it, who give it life.

The crowd clapped, some even cheered, but I just stood there, Captivated, Frozen.

He was so composed. So full of purpose.

But as he spoke, I noticed something. His smile didn't touch his eyes.

It was all show and for a brief second, I felt something twist in my chest.

Not from love, but a strange kind of warning.

I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it was fear.

Maybe my body sensed something my heart didn't want to accept.

But I shook it off.

I heard he studied in five different countries, Mary whispered to me.

He speaks six languages.

And still chose to come back here to rule over all of us, Ben muttered, arms folded.

He's not ruling me, I whispered back but even I didn't believe it. I was already under his spell.

All through the night, I kept stealing glances. I didn't get close. I knew better. Our worlds didn't mix. He wouldn't notice someone like me.

Not in this crowd of diamonds and silks. But something about that night felt different.

Maybe it was the city air. Maybe it was just me hungry to be seen, to belong, to matter.

I walked home that night, my shoes dusty, my legs sore, but my mind racing.

He didn't speak to me. He didn't even look my way, but I felt something awaken inside me.

On second thought, I remembered an adage: Be careful what you wish for, it comes with a price.

I couldn't keep my eyes off him throughout the night. i kept on monitoring every of his movements, whom he talks to, the way he laughs with my eyes.

He's my daily inspiration just like the rose flower. he was my rose and I'm his peach tree.

POV: I've gone crazy with my thought. Luna hold yourself together.

A fire ,a vow, I would rise, I would grow.

I would write my name into the same skyline he rul

ed from.

And one day I'd make him look again.
