Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Stacy's POV

The gaze I got from everyone was too damning. I was shocked, but chose to ignore it. I didn't know what I was doing anymore. My chest drummed hard, and I tried my best to be able to control the weirdness I felt, but it didn't work.

Not wanting to say anything to anyone, I walked into the house, head lowered. Not even a single greeting from the pack guards, and maids. Was that how I had been reduced to nothing? Or maybe they were scared of seeing me.

As I walked into the house, it wasn't long before I met my mother. She was seated in thoughts, not aware of my presence until I made an attempt to make her aware.

"Mom?" I called with raised brows, my eyes staring at her with so many emotions in there. My chest hurt and felt heavy, and all I wanted was a hug, maybe a word of support, but as my mother turned towards me, she gazed at me with a look of disgust, and disappointed, her lips not opening to utter any words to me.

"Mom, it's me... It's your daughter..." I expressed, and she rolled her eyes, turning her back towards me as she went on in her thoughts.

My heart skipped a beat, and I stared at myself, making sure I wasn't dead, but then I felt healthy, and besides, she turned towards me when I called her attention.

"Mom?!" I called, and then frowned. It was a lot to take in, but I still proceeded to call her.

"What do you want?!" She yelled, her tone harsh. I didn't expect that. I never even expected her to raise her voice at me.

"Mom, I--"

"You're a disgrace. The idea was simple, but then you went there, and did what? Disgraced our family name...."

I was stunned. "Mom, it's not what you think... How could you be this way? How could you say such a thing?"

Just then my father came out. His expression was that of anger, and he seemed really angry at everything that had been happening.

"You really think that it's okay for you to do that? You disgraced us. The evidence he showed to us was too much. You were being too desperate. Look how he painted our family, take a look-"

"But you saw what happened at the wedding! Why aren't you understanding the things I am saying."

"Because the goal was to marry him for peace, but you ended up telling him we wanted power. That was why he disgraced our family. You're nothing but a disgrace!"

My father's words to me were harsh, and I felt humiliated for the first time in my life. My father had never spoken to me in such a harsh manner before.

Lowering my head, I moved towards my room. My head couldn't process what was going on and all I felt was total anger.

As I slammed the door, my heart ached. I didn't know what else to do about the whole thing. I was in a dark place, and no one was on my side.

"Are you sure you're alright?" My wolf asked as I fell on my bed, my eyes already beaming with tears. I was a laughing stock, and a disgrace now all because I loved the wrong man .

"I should have listened. I should have listened to you. If I did, all this wouldn't have happened..." I spoke from a pace of pain, my heart aching so much.

"It's fine. You can forget Kai. He doesn't deserve to see you this way. He doesn't deserve to hear you cry or--" at that moment I interrupted her.

"I know what I must do. I'll get back at him. I'll make you pay Kai, it doesn't matter how, but I'll make sure you pay for what you did to me..."

Not caring about the headache I felt, I pushed myself up from the bed, and with determination on my mind. I left my pack for his pack, but was shocked when I got to his pack.

"We're sorry, but you aren't allowed in here, ordered by the alpha of the pack, Kai..."

I was stunned, creased lines appearing on my forehead.

"What do you mean by that? That's not something that you can say. I came here to see the alpha, and--"

"I'm sorry ma'am, but you're not allowed. The alpha doesn't want to see you!" He exclaimed, making me backup. I wasn't shocked, but it was a bit surprising that he was able to make such a claim.

Without hesitation, I made my move. I made a turn like I wanted to exit, but went through the backway, and through the lowered fence. Now that I was in without the notice of the guards, I made my way into the pack house, keeping a low profile.

My main aim was to confront Kai and make sure he revokes all the statements he made against me.

My eyes were on the lookout, and knowing he would be in his study, I made my way through the hallway until I got there.

Without hesitation, I opened the door, and walked in, causing him to frown. "How did you get here!" He yelled, but I rolled my eyes.

"Oh spare me that. I should have known that you wanted to frame me, but I didn't expect you to be so cruel. We share something. I thought we loved each other, huh?"

He groaned. "I have nothing to do with you, leave here now!"

"No, until you tell me why you did it, until you tell me why you dare to--"

He scoffed. "I don't owe you any explanation..." Then I stood up as angry.

At first I noticed something else, but when I saw he was attempting to leave, I followed him.

However, I noticed that he quickly leaned into a guard, whispering something.

At first, I thought it was nothing, but the way the guard turned to me made me understand what he had ordered.

The guard pulled out his dagger and rushed towards me, but I turned on my heels, running as fast as my legs could carry me.

My chest drummed, and I swallowed hard. He was trying to get me killed, and I knew there was no way out.
