A week later.
"Swish!"
Rayden and Broly appeared in the Western Universe, standing on a barren planet with the massive Super Dragon Ball hovering behind them like a golden moon.
"Rayden, this Dragon Ball is so hard to find!" Broly said, sounding frustrated. He had thought the search would be as simple as finding the Earth Dragon Balls.
Rayden sighed. "The universe is too vast. We can only rely on the Super Dragon Ball radar to detect their location."
Even with the Supreme Kai version of Instant Transmission and the Super Dragon Ball Radar, Rayden hadn't expected the process to be this slow.
Beep! Beep!
Suddenly, the radar in Rayden's hand started flashing and beeping. Two signals lit up—one moving quickly in the northwest, the other blinking in the southwest.
"Hm? The Dragon Ball is on the move. Could someone else be searching for them too?" Rayden muttered.
"Broly, let's go check the southwest signal."
In an instant, Rayden used Instant Transmission and brought Broly with him.
"Swish!"
They reappeared on a strange, rocky planet. The sky was tinged with a deep purple hue, and asteroids hovered in orbit.
Broly pointed to the south. "Rayden, over there!"
Rayden turned and saw it—a Super Dragon Ball, unobstructed by dust or debris, glowing with a radiant golden light.
"One, two, three... Three stars," Rayden counted. "It's a Three-Star Super Dragon Ball."
Just as he was about to gather his energy to secure it—
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The radar beeped urgently again.
"What now?" Rayden frowned. "Why is it moving so fast?"
Before he could react, another gigantic Super Dragon Ball appeared from the opposite side, rolling across the void like a second sun. The two Dragon Balls began to resonate, glowing brighter together.
From behind them, a lazy voice rang out.
"Vados, are those two humans trying to steal my Dragon Balls?"
The voice belonged to a feline-like being with a plump purple body, short tail, and gold accessories. He stood upright, arms crossed, clearly unimpressed.
He was shirtless, wearing a black collar trimmed in white, golden armbands and bracelets, and loose baggy pants.
The woman beside him—Vados—was strikingly elegant. Slender and statuesque, she had turquoise-blue skin, long white hair tied in a high ponytail, and a calm air of superiority. She carried a long staff, and a glowing halo floated around her neck.
She answered softly, "Master Champa, yes, those two are the only ones nearby."
Rayden narrowed his eyes. "Who are they? Why are they here with Dragon Balls?"
Suddenly, Champa barked, "Humans, leave. These Dragon Balls belong to me!"
He lifted his chin arrogantly, nostrils practically flaring.
Broly clenched his fists. "Why should we leave? We went through a lot to find these Dragon Balls!"
Champa scoffed. "Then I'll destroy you instead!"
With a flick of his hand, he unleashed two energy blasts aimed at Rayden and Broly.
Boom!
Rayden barely deflected the blast, skidding back with scorched clothes. Broly wasn't as lucky—he was thrown back, crashing violently onto a nearby planet.
"Hohoho~"
Vados laughed quietly, covering her mouth with one hand.
"Master Champa, these humans are surprisingly durable."
Champa scowled. "Hmph! I couldn't even finish them off? What a disgrace!"
Infuriated, he summoned a massive energy sphere in his palm and hurled it at Rayden.
"Hah!!"
Broly roared, erupting with power. His aura exploded outward, sending shockwaves across the planet. His black hair turned grassy green and spiked up. His body grew taller, more muscular, and a black tail uncoiled behind him.
Broly had transformed into Super Saiyan 1.
With a burst of speed, he intercepted the energy sphere and raised an energy shield around Rayden.
Boom!!
The explosion shook the atmosphere, but the shield held.
Champa gritted his teeth. "These mortals are making a fool out of me!"
In a flash, he appeared in front of Broly and delivered a brutal kick to his stomach.
"Gah!"
Broly coughed up blood and was launched backward, curling like a wounded shrimp.
"You're still alive?" Champa muttered in disbelief. "How is someone this strong from such a weak universe?"
Rayden's eyes flared. Seeing Broly injured enraged him.
He roared, his own energy surging as his transformation activated. His hair turned grassy green, and his muscles bulked up like Broly's. A black tail unfurled behind him as well.
Rayden had become a Super Saiyan 1.
Without hesitation, he launched himself at Champa.
"Fool! You overestimate yourself!"
Champa caught Rayden's punch and kneed him in the gut.
"Ack!"
Rayden spat blood and collapsed.
"Disintegrate!" Champa raised his hand and formed a purple energy sphere.
Before he could release it—
Boom!
Broly returned, kicking Champa in the ribs and knocking him away. The energy ball fizzled out mid-attack.
Champa regained balance mid-air, face twisted with rage.
"Hateful mortals! You dare humiliate a God of Destruction?!"
He powered up and teleported in front of Rayden.
"Destroy!"
Champa's energy ball struck Rayden squarely. His body began to disintegrate, pixel by pixel, fading into nothing.
"Rayden!!" Broly screamed.
Memories of their journey flashed before Broly's eyes—training together, fighting side by side, laughing.
His rage erupted. His aura surged to unimaginable levels.
Broly transformed into Super Saiyan 2.
Even Champa hesitated. "He... evolved again?! What kind of monster is this guy?"
Vados raised an eyebrow. "Master Champa, if you release too much energy, you'll attract Whis. We must leave immediately."
Champa clenched his teeth. "Fine. But I'll destroy this pest first."
He zipped forward and struck Broly before he could fully react.
"Destroy!"
Broly's body touched the purple sphere—and vanished.
Champa exhaled and turned back toward Vados. "Let's go before that skinny freak shows up."
Vados nodded, tapped her staff, and the two disappeared along with the three Super Dragon Balls—leaving behind only colorful streaks of fading light.

Rayden reappeared on the desolate planet. He looked around, but Champa and Vados were already gone—along with the Dragon Balls.
"Broly!" he called out.
He searched the surrounding planets desperately, scanning for any sign of his friend.
Suddenly, "Swish!"
A figure appeared in front of him.
He looked similar to Vados—blue-green skin, long white curly hair, purple lips and eyes, with a halo around his neck and staff in hand.
Whis.
Rayden's eyes widened. "Whis!"
"You know me?" Whis asked with mild surprise.
Angels rarely made public appearances, so it was unusual for mortals to recognize them.
Rayden nodded. "You're the Angel of the Seventh Universe. Please—I need your help!"
Whis tilted his head. "Help?"
"Please, find Broly. He was destroyed by Champa," Rayden pleaded.
Whis's expression turned serious. "If a being was destroyed by a God of Destruction… then only Super Shenron can resurrect them. Earth's Shenron and even Porunga lack the authority."
"Isn't there any other way?" Rayden asked desperately.
Whis frowned slightly, clearly thinking.
"Well…"
