Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Raditz’s Despair!

> (Raditz had a combat power of 1,500 when he first arrived on Earth. After battling Son Goku and Piccolo and getting headbutted by Gohan, his power dropped to around 900. Rayden's combat power, on the other hand, was 1,605.)

---

Now, Raditz found himself completely overpowered—held in place by Rayden, the man he had earlier dismissed as weak.

His expression twisted in disbelief.

"H-How is this possible?!"

Wasn't this guy's combat power just 5?

How could he have blocked my full-power punch and counterattacked so easily?

A chilling sense of fear spread through Raditz's entire body.

Under Rayden's grip, he could barely breathe.

Only now did Raditz realize that this man was not the same one he had killed earlier. No—Rayden was far stronger than he could have imagined.

"H-How much combat power… do you have?"

Rayden smirked, replying calmly, "Just look at your scouter."

Raditz's eyes flicked to the display.

"1...1605?!"

His pupils shrank.

When he first landed on Earth, a power level like this might've been manageable.

But now, wounded and drained after fighting Goku, Piccolo, and being slammed by Gohan's surprise attack, he was in no shape to handle Rayden's strength.

Now it's over.

Raditz finally realized something else—Earth's fighters had another terrifying trait: they could hide their true power!

Rayden grinned.

"You hit me pretty hard earlier. Time for you to feel the same."

He released Raditz's arm, leaned in slightly, and slammed his fist straight into Raditz's abdomen.

"ARGH!"

Raditz screamed in agony, doubling over as bile surged up his throat.

He felt like all the bones in his body were shattering.

BAM!

Rayden didn't stop there. He followed up with a fierce kick to Raditz's gut, then raised his hand and fired a concentrated Ki Blast point-blank.

BOOM!

The blast sent Raditz flying through the air like a ragdoll.

He crashed into the side of a mountain, his body punching a human-shaped dent deep into the rock.

THUD!

His limp form fell from the crater and hit the ground hard.

Raditz lay in a crumpled heap, utterly defeated. He had no strength left to stand.

Rayden slowly walked toward him and smirked.

"Well, Raditz? Feels good, doesn't it?"

Raditz's eyes burned with humiliation, but he couldn't do anything. He was completely at Rayden's mercy.

He now truly felt the shadow of death looming over him.

This was it.

He was going to die here.

Even though he was a cold-blooded Saiyan warrior, in the face of death—Raditz broke.

He tossed aside his pride and begged.

"Please! Spare me! I'm begging you!"

Rayden looked down at him, eyes cold.

"You think I'd let you live?"

Raditz's heart sank.

With no hope left, he screamed in desperation.

"Fine! Kill me! But let me tell you this!"

"My scouter… has a communication function. The other two Saiyans—Vegeta and Nappa—they've heard everything!"

"They know what happened here!"

"They'll come for revenge! It'll only take them one year to get here!"

"You'll die even more miserably than I will!"

"HAHAHAHA!!"

Raditz laughed wildly, like a man who had nothing left to lose.

Rayden didn't respond.

Instead, he raised his arms and began gathering energy between his palms.

A glowing blue-white light gathered, swirling violently.

Rayden's calm voice echoed:

"Kamehameha!"

Raditz's crazed laughter turned to horror.

"NO—!"

BOOM!

A deafening explosion echoed across the land.

A massive crater formed where Raditz had been.

There was no trace of his body left.

He was completely disintegrated—reduced to ash.

---

In the distance, Son Goku and Piccolo stood frozen in place.

The enemy they had struggled to defeat—the one who had nearly killed them—had been obliterated by Rayden in just a few moves.

It was unbelievable.

Rayden calmly walked over, carrying the unconscious Son Gohan in his arms.

He approached Goku, who was bruised, bloodied, and gasping for breath.

"Here," Rayden said, lowering Gohan gently beside him.

Son Goku looked up with gratitude in his eyes.

"Thank you… for saving Gohan… and us."

Rayden smiled. "It was nothing."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out two Senzu Beans.

"You're seriously hurt. Take one."

"Senzu beans?!"

Goku blinked, confused.

He hadn't seen this man before—how did he have something as rare as a Senzu Bean?

But he didn't ask. After all, anyone strong enough to defeat Raditz could easily climb Korin Tower and get some.

Goku placed the bean in his mouth.

Crunch~!

A warm surge of energy exploded within him. His body, which had been on the verge of collapse, felt completely renewed.

SWOOSH!

Goku leapt into the air and landed with a grin.

"I'm back! I feel amazing!"

He turned and handed the second Senzu Bean to Piccolo.

"Here, Piccolo! Eat this!"

Piccolo took the bean without hesitation, chewed, and swallowed.

His energy, too, surged back to full.

Piccolo clenched his fist—and smiled.

Then, gritting his teeth, he let out a guttural roar.

"Ahhhh!"

Before Goku's eyes, Piccolo's missing arm began to regenerate, growing out from the stump like a tree sprouting from soil.

Goku's jaw dropped.

"Piccolo, you can even regrow limbs?! That's incredible!"

Rayden muttered to himself, watching.

Namekians really are amazing. As long as their core remains intact, they can regenerate indefinitely…

(Cell: As long as his brain chip remains intact, he can regenerate.)

(Majin Buu: Can regenerate from even a single cell.)

---

A few moments later, Son Goku and Piccolo flew over to Rayden, who was still tending to Gohan.

Goku bowed deeply.

"Thanks again. If you ever need my help, just ask."

Rayden nodded and smiled. Saving them at the right moment really does earn goodwill points.

Goku scratched his head and said, "Oh, by the way… I never got your name."

"Haha, guess I forgot to introduce myself."

Rayden chuckled.

"My name is Rayden."

Piccolo's eyes narrowed slightly. "I didn't think Earth had hidden warriors as powerful as you."

Rayden didn't respond to that.

Goku stepped forward with excitement.

"Rayden! You're so strong—I really want to spar with you! Just a friendly match."

Rayden shook his head.

"You're not ready yet. Train harder. Your current strength isn't enough."

He paused, then added seriously, "You heard what Raditz said before he died."

"In a year, two more Saiyans will arrive. They'll be far stronger than Raditz—many times over."

"If you stay as you are now, you won't stand a chance."

Goku's face turned solemn. "Then I'll train harder than ever."

Even Piccolo's expression grew determined.

Rayden continued, "Use this year well. If you want to protect your families, your friends—this planet—you must get stronger."

"I will!" Goku said, fists clenched. "No matter what, I'll be ready."

Then, almost shyly, he asked, "Rayden… would you train with me? You're incredibly powerful—you could help me improve so much!"

But Rayden shook his head again.

"Sorry. I have my own path to walk."

He turned away, his tone flat.

My power comes from the system. Every time I die, I get stronger.

What's the point in sparring with Goku? I can't just ask him to kill me repeatedly.

Besides, if he can't even touch me, I get no system rewards anyway.

And most importantly—

He wasn't ready to expose the secret of his resurrection yet.

Let Goku find someone else to train with.

Goku looked a little disappointed but didn't push.
