Atlas was completely taken aback as Aveline kissed him.
The kiss was different. It was filled with both passion and desire.
However, he just couldn't get into the flow of things as something troubling tugged his mind.
Gently, he held her shoulders, and pulled a little.
Aveline's face creased as the kiss broke. "What is it?" She searched his eyes.
Atlas stepped away from her, and moved to a different spot.
A safer position. Where he could think clearly without the influence of her scent and his desire for her.
He dropped his briefcase which had nearly slipped out of his hands, and let out a deep breath.
"Why did you do that?"
"Why did I kiss you?" confusion etched in her face as she stared at him.
"Yes, Aveline. Why would you kiss me that way when you love someone else?"
"Huh?!" Her head doubled back.
