A week has passed...
It's been a week since Kris awakened his Quirk.
You'd think that would change his life a lot, right? But, in reality, not much was different.
Aside from striking a pose or saying one or two cool lines sometimes to store aura, Kris's life hadn't changed much.
He wouldn't have to go to school so soon, and his friend Noelle hadn't replied to his messages or calls.
It was natural to want space after everything, and Kris even knew that, but he still called her mother once to confirm the girl was okay.
The bastard had been arrested. Kris had to deal with a trip to the police station to explain everything. But, with the situation being what it was, the boy was quickly released.
Kris wanted to train his Quirk on the first day; however, his Quirk depended on him storing Aura before using it.
So, Kris decided to spend a week storing energy before properly training his Quirk.
CURRENT MOMENT: 9 MONTHS UNTIL THE UA EXAM.
To make sure he wouldn't be seen training his Quirk, Kris decided to train in a junkyard in Mustafu.
Analyzing his Status Screen, the boy stood among the trash, thinking about how he should proceed with his Quirk training.
Kris Dreemur
Constitution: 30 (Well-trained martial artist, still very young.)
Strength: 25 (Calisthenics paid off.)
Mind: 15 (Divorced parents, emo.)
Aura: 121 → 542 stored points.
After I created the table, showing it again only costs me a single point.
So far I know my Quirk works by storing my positive emotions and using them to make my imagination reality.
Until now, I've only used it to affect myself, amplifying my punch against that damned villain.
I need to test if I can affect the environment and other people.
Besides that, I want to know if Kokusen also became cheaper after I performed it once before.
I'll start with Kokusen.
Deciding to test what he had already done first, the boy turned and looked around until he spotted a discarded fridge in a corner.
Moving toward it, Kris decided that would be his target.
Taking a deep breath, the boy stood in a boxing stance, both arms guarding in front of his head and knees slightly bent.
At that moment, he delivered a right cross with all his strength while letting out a shout.
"Kokusen!"
The impact of the punch deformed the fridge even before his fist touched it, with Kris's hand piercing through it.
Looking at the dented fridge with a hole in the center, Kris was impressed for a moment before regaining focus and checking his Status Screen again.
Kris Dreemur
Constitution: 30 (Well-trained martial artist, still very young.)
Strength: 25 (Calisthenics paid off.)
Mind: 15 (Divorced parents, emo.)
Aura: 542 → 491 stored points.
Considering that viewing the screen cost a single point, Kris's Kokusen this time had cost 50 points.
Looking at the history would also cost 1 point, and Kris wanted to save.
It's almost half the price of last time. Still, it's not reduced as much as the Status Screen.
From what I think, there's an additional cost to performing something the first time, and after that, the cost is reduced.
This means I should "memorize" a few more abilities before UA.
Now I want to test my ability to affect other things.
Looking at the broken fridge, the boy decided to use it as a target again.
Since I broke it, why not fix it?
With a bit of focus, the boy imagined the fridge reforming and repairing itself.
As he thought about it and imagined it happening, he suddenly felt everything he had envisioned scramble, and something dripped from his nose.
Damn! I was so close! My nose is running… am I sick?
Wiping with his hand, the boy noticed his finger coated in red liquid.
Blood? But why? Am I using up my mental capacity to imagine with my ability?
Still staring at his bloody finger, the boy sank into theories.
Does this mental capacity drain every time I use it, or only when I try imagining something for the first time?
To test it, the boy casually swung his fist and imagined himself performing the Jujutsu Kaisen technique again.
"Kokusen."
While his fist, even without hitting anything, glowed black and red, Kris felt dizzy.
Seems like it's every time I use it. Still, it was much less. Maybe it's because it was the first time, or maybe because it was a much more complicated task.
After all, reconstructing a broken item and punching with great force are at different difficulty levels.
Still...
PLUS ULTRA!
With full concentration, Kris placed both hands in front of him, palms facing the fridge.
Focusing his mind completely on the fridge, the boy imagined a deep analysis, finding flaws and then fixing them.
As he surrounded the item with his consciousness, without realizing it, the fridge began to reconstruct in front of him.
As Kris focused on the fridge, the dented parts began to slowly shift back into place with small metallic clicks. The cracks sealed, and the loose pieces fitted back together, as if time itself was rewinding. In moments, the appliance stood whole again, sturdy and intact, as if it had never been damaged.
As soon as he finished, Kris collapsed to his knees, blood dripping from his ears, nose, and eyes.
Dazed for a moment, the boy shook his head, trying to recover.
Staring at the fridge in perfect condition, the boy felt proud.
Trying to stand, he noticed his legs wouldn't move.
Taking his phone, he called his mother.
It took a moment for Toriel to answer.
"My son, are you alright? How has the training been going?"
"It was perfect. I fixed a fridge. I can't move my legs. Please come pick me up. Also, I want to take the fridge with me."
"YOU WHAT?"
"..."
"I'm coming… where are you now?"
"In the junkyard here in Mustafu."
"IN THE JUNKYARD?! YOU'RE CRIPPLED AND DEFENSELESS IN THE JUNKYARD?!"
"I'M COMING RIGHT NOW! WAIT FOR ME AND GET READY FOR YOUR PUNISHMENT!"
With that, the goat mother hung up, leaving Kris in silence as he waited.
