"Mason is angry because he has not slept with me. I'm convinced he's attempting to get closer to me because of this. He's angry that I rejected him, which is why he revealed his plans to force himself on me in rage. I must inform Mr Plummer of this. Derek, you are my witness, are you not? Bonnie was there. I could use her as a witness as well, right?
I asked and Derek nodded slightly.
"You have a point. Do it to alert the appropriate authority before he tries to make any silly move. I'll also keep a close watch on him. His face is gonna get deformed from my punches very soon. That fool has to learn the hard way. I'll hurt him so bad that he wouldn't be able to approach you, let alone, lay a finger on you,"
Derek grunted, the sincerity of his words laced in the tone at which he spoke
My heart race tripled. I don't want Derek to get involved with those two bullies. What if they end up spilling lies about him to their parents so they could end his scholarship? Are they even aware that he's on scholarship?
"Derek. Why did Mr Plummer call you to his office? Was it regarding the fight you had with Mason?"
"No.. It's regarding my scholarship offer. He asked me to inform my dad about his needed presence at his office since he hasn't seen him before. I told him my dad had gone on a business trip and he believed me."
"I thought Mason reported you to him. I thought Mr Plummer wanted to have a word with one of our parents.. is he still keen on seeing your dad?"
"Yes, Isabel. My dad can see him anytime. I won't inform him about it until next month."
"Okay.. I'm so relieved," I whispered, placing my hand on my chest before letting out a deep sigh.
Derek cupped my cheek and pinched my nose, flashing me a warm smile. He kissed me on the lip and returned back to his seat.
"Why did Hayley show up today? Did you invite her over?!" Derek asked before tossing some fries in his mouth…
"I didn't. Why would I invite someone like her? She saw me when I showed up at Bonnie's apartment and I didn't know she would follow me on my way back home. I took a cab so I'm certain she took a cab as well and also informed the taxi driver to follow me. How stupid she is. She told me she was angry with you for not picking her calls.."
Derek smirked before taking more fries from the plate.
I pressed my lips together, a sad countenance plastered on my face.
"Hayley is so determined to win your heart. She told me she won't give up until she succeeds in making you like her…"
I mumbled with pouted lips while Derek scooted beside me. "Are you scared because you think I'll end up liking her?!"
He asked but I didn't give a reply. He smiled and cupped my cheek. "You're my mate. I can never get tired of you. Do you have any idea how content and happy I feel to have you beside me. During school hours, I always crave to sit beside you. The want for you lingers in my heart every single day. I can never get tired of you because you're mine and only you in this world carry my mark on you.".
Derek confessed before claiming my lips in his. I slowly kissed him, a droplet of tears streaming down my cheeks. I held his neck and kept up with the paces of our kisses. He bit my lips severally as we kissed, pushing me backwards on the sofa.
