Hello everyone, please make sure to read this text before diving into the chapters.
It was about four years ago when I first encountered *Reverend Insanity*. At that time, I started with the manhwa, but after finding it incomplete, I began reading the novel from the start.
Back then, I didn't know that *Reverend Insanity* had been banned by the CCP. Naively, I enjoyed reading it until the catastrophic chaos calamity struck.
This horrific disaster not only devastated me but also shattered all *Reverend Insanity* fans.
Why, out of all the manga, manhwa, novels, and various media, did it have to be *Reverend Insanity* that got banned?
While I was deeply disappointed by this incomplete ending, I didn't pay much attention to the reasons or controversies surrounding the ban.
In the end, *Reverend Insanity* was banned, and that was what mattered. Even five years after the ban, there seemed to be no hope for its continuation.
Of course, as *Reverend Insanity* readers, we will never give up and will continue to hold "hope" in our hearts, hoping for the day when GZR resumes writing the series.
During this time, I read several *Reverend Insanity* fanfics, possible endings, and various theories, but unfortunately, none of them felt satisfying to me.
I didn't blame the authors of these works, as they were surely just as disappointed as I was, hoping for the continuation of *Reverend Insanity*. These works were a way to keep hope alive and keep *Reverend Insanity* alive in our hearts.
Then one day, it occurred to me: why not write my own ending for *Reverend Insanity*?
While an ending written by someone else would surely not be as captivating as the original work, it was still enough to keep hope alive.
However, writing a book is by no means easy, especially when we're talking about a philosophical work with complex themes like *Reverend Insanity*.
Fang Yuan was one of the most challenging characters to write. Apart from pursuing his own goals, Fang Yuan was almost entirely unpredictable, leaving readers unable to grasp his mindset or emotions.
Overall, while the challenges of writing an ending for *Reverend Insanity* were numerous, six issues stood out as the biggest for me.
**Problem 1** - *Reverend Insanity* is a Chinese web novel, naturally written in Chinese and only later translated into English.
This issue didn't end there, as English isn't my native language either, and my proficiency in English is, at best, average. This meant that to write a *Reverend Insanity* fanfic, I could only write it in my native language or translate it into English later.
This created multiple language barriers, and I needed to find a translator to convert my fanfic into English, which isn't easy. The best option was to use ChatGPT.
Needless to say, ChatGPT's translations are far from fluent and come with numerous spelling and grammatical errors.
I'm working on improving my English proficiency, but progress is slow, and it might take another four years to reach the standard required to write a book in English.
**Problem 2** - The second issue relates to the world-building and plot of *Reverend Insanity*. The story was halted early in Volume 5, leaving many mysteries unresolved, including the revival methods of other venerables, with only a few small clues to follow.
The lack of clues wasn't limited to the venerables. More significant issuess such as chaos, heavenly path, human path, dream path, killing path, river of time, spatial gate, and more, remained unresolved.
In short, with no clear clues, I had to rely on my imagination to fill these gaps, which came with its own drawbacks.
The world of *Reverend Insanity* was already robustly built, and my ideas could potentially conflict with its established world-building.
This meant I had very little freedom to make changes while staying true to the story's plot, world-building, and power system.
Compared to continuing *Reverend Insanity*, I think writing an entirely new book, even for a beginner like me, would be easier.
**Problem 3** - The Legends of Ren Zu!
You read that right. The Legends of Ren Zu are one of the most mysterious and challenging obstacles in continuing *Reverend Insanity*.
The Legends of Ren Zu are not just a legend; they significantly impact the plot, world-building, and even the power system.
Ren Zu and his ten children left profound impacts on the Gu world. Even the SIF was created by SS , inspired by the Legends of Ren Zu, utilizing the ten extreme physiques.
We saw the Vardent Great Sun in the Door of Life and Death, as well as legendary Gu worms like Wisdom, Strength, Attitude, Fate, Ability, Fire, Freedom, and more.
Most of these Gu worms mentioned in the Legends of Ren Zu played critical, pivotal roles for Fang Yuan and other venerables at some point and might even be essential for achieving eternal life.
GZR once mentioned that the Legends of Ren Zu are not just a separate story but a complement to *Reverend Insanity*, and they were likely meant to conclude together.
If the complete Legends of Ren Zu were available, about 30% of the mysteries surrounding *Reverend Insanity* would likely be resolved, and it might be possible to deduce its ending.
This is just my opinion, and I'm not entirely certain about it.
**Problem 4** - The fourth issue relates to the expansive world-building and numerous characters. *Reverend Insanity* features significant side characters like Bai Ning Bing, Hei Lou Lan, Feng Jiu Ge, Feng Zheng, and all ten venerables, who greatly influence the story.
Additionally, other characters like Wu Yong, Zhao Lian Yun, Chu Du, Emperor Light, Lu Wei Yin, Lin Jian Sheng, Shen Shang, Shang Xin Ci, and many others make the Gu world incredibly vibrant.
Writing and meaningfully incorporating these characters into the plot is an immense challenge for my skills.
It's worth mentioning that this is my first attempt at writing a book or fanfic, and I don't have much experience in this area.
At best, I can limit my ambition and focus on using priority characters in the plot.
**Problem 5** - I'm particularly weak at describing battle scenes, naming Gu worms, or creating new killing moves, and some of these might seem laughable in the future.
**Problem 6** - The sixth issue is currently the least significant: the ending of *Reverend Insanity* and whether Fang Yuan achieves eternal life or not.
It was a bit premature to think about this issue, as I might not even continue this book beyond ten chapters, so thinking about the ending now feels pointless.
