*Early morning.*
Miwa was sleeping peacefully in her bed until the sound of her alarm clock woke her up. Letting out an annoyed sigh she reached out a lazy hand and turned it off, and then slowly got out of the bed with a yawn, wearing a short sleeved shirt and long pajama pants.
"I can't believe I agreed to meet the others over at Sandy's boat by the sea." Miwa mumbled to herself, yawning as she got up and walked out of her bedroom.
"Good morning, Sunshine!" said someone.
"Morning." Miwa walked through her living room and over to her kitchen, about to open the fridge but quickly stopped. "Wait a minute....I don't have any roommates." She quickly took another look into her living room and lo and behold, laying on her couch watching TV, was the Monkey King eating some peach chips.
"What the fuck are you doing in my apartment!? And how did you get in!?" Miwa shouted in surprise at seeing him of all people in her home, let alone how he got inside.
"Thought I wanted to check up on you, and see if you were gonna take up my offer to train you along with the other kid. Also you had a window slightly opened, so it was easy for me to get in." said the Monkey King, eating a peach chip.
Miwa groans in annoyance, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "It's too early for this shit. Listen, Monkey King–"
"Wukong." the Monkey King cut in.
"What?" Miwa raised a confused eyebrow.
"You can just call me Wukong, no need to call me by my title." Monkey King waved his hand, still laying on the couch watching TV.
Miwa let out a sigh, not much in the mood to question this so early in the morning. "Okay, Wukong. To answer your question, yes I'll take up your offer in training me. Now can you please leave my apartment."
"You're throwing out a guest? But I just got here." gasped Monkey King, looking over the couch and at her with a raised eyebrow.
"You're not a guest, you broke into my home. If you weren't the Monkey King, I would be calling the cops right now, or beat you up myself." Miwa gave him a deadpanned look.
Monkey King let out a laugh getting up from the couch. "I can imagine that you would." He stopped laughing when he took notice of the bandages on her left arm. "What happened to your arm, Peaches?"
Miwa placed her right hand over her left arm. "None of your business, and would you stop calling me that. It's really annoying."
Monkey King raised an eyebrow using his tail to turn off the TV, before walking over. "If I'm gonna train you, I'm gonna have to know if you're in good condition. I'm not gonna train you if you're injured."
Miwa rolled her eyes in annoyance, but could pick up that he was just worried for her well-being. "....Just some old injury, had it since I was little. I don't like others seeing it so I keep it covered up."
Monkey King had an unreadable look on his face, as he was taking in everything that she had just told him. "Is that also why you aren't using it that much?"
"....Yeah, too much pressure and it starts hurting. Now can you please stop asking, I don't like talking about this." said Miwa, getting a little uncomfortable.
"Right, right. I'll stop questioning about it, Freckles." Monkey King gave her a smile as he went on to patting her head which surprised her.
"I'm gonna head back to my mountain, I should have something you can use as a weapon. Since the kid will be using my staff." Monkey King pulled a string of hair and had it turn into a mango, giving it to Miwa, before turning himself into a ladybug and flew out of the window he came in from.
Miwa just stood there in her living room, still a little surprised as she placed a hand on her head while the other held the mango. "How did that old monkey know I like mangos.....also, did he just make it from his own hair?" She gave the mango a questionable look.
Shaking her head Miwa walked over and closed the window he left from, letting out a small sigh. "Looks like I'm gonna have to make sure none of my windows are open, the last thing I want is finding a fucking monkey in my home, again."
*Later over at Sandy's boat.*
On the TV. "And in breaking news, it's been confirmed that last week's devastation was caused by the legendary Demon Bull King. Questions still remains about the small overpowered young man and woman who saved us all. Authorities warn citizens on..."
"And I was like, "Stop there, Demon Bull King." And D.B.K.'s all like, "You can't stop me! I'm cwazy!" And then I grabbed my staff, and whoosh! I created this giant mech!" Mk went on to explain.
Miwa rolled her eyes with a slight smile, drinking some tea while petting a cat. "Yeah, it was pretty crazy."
"Uh oh, looks like you sprung a leak, Mk." said Mei.
"Oh jeez!" said Mk.
It wasn't long until the door to the room was slammed open, and standing by the door was a very angry Pigsy. "I've just pulled a quadruple shift at the shop. And I show up to see you've all been slacking off all day!"
Miwa slowly went on to hide behind Mk, hoping her boss wouldn't see her.
"Oh, Piggy, relax. A little time off never hurt anyone." said Tang.
"Yeah! A time off never hurt nobody." said Mk.
"We're screwed." Miwa whispered.
"Look out!" shouted Sandy, as a crate fell down on Mk and Miwa.
"Kids!" shouted Pigsy.
"I... am... invincible!" shouted Mk standing up unscratched.
"Ow, that kind of hurt a little." Miwa scratched her head, but wasn't all that beat up.
"Yeah!" cheered Mei.
"Look, Mk, just 'cause you got the Monkey King's powers and all, and Miwa also having some strange powers, It don't mean–" Pigsy tried explaining but got cut off by Mei.
Mei goes on to pull out a bazooka from who knows where, and aims it over at Mk and Miwa, causing the others to gasp in shock.
"Mk! Mimi! How about... this?" Mei launches a bazooka missile towards Mk and Miwa.
"I am invincible!" shouted Mk, not having a scratch on him.
"What the fuck Mei!?" shouted Miwa with a growing rage as she was only covered in a few scratches. "Are you trying to kill me and Mk!?"
Pigsy sighs. "Look, kiddos, you're superheros now. You're going to need-"
"A cape! Maybe a logo, or a headquarters! Some vehicles, you know, all the stuff to help you beat bad guys!" said Mei in excitement.
"I don't know about a cape, I might go with a scarf instead." said Miwa, giving a slight shrug.
"No, what I was getting at-" Pigsy tried explaining but got cut off again.
"To the Sea-Crate.. Base!" Mei opens the elevator.
"....What the fuck?" Miwa questioned.
Mk, Tang, Miwa, and Sandy awes and follow her. Pigsy sighs.
"Welcome to our new team base!" said Mei.
"Mei, when did you make this?" Mk asked.
"How did you make this?" Pigsy asked.
"How long did it take you to make this?" Miwa asked, looking around.
"Say, Sandy, weren't you building a secret base for Mk and Miwa, too?" Tang asked.
"Umm... no." said Sandy.
Miwa went on to have a good look around the place. "Damn, so much to steal. No, no, I need to resist it. But I haven't stolen anything for over a week now."
*The Bull Clones attacks the Weather Station. Redson broadcasts his message to the city.*
"Citizens. It is I, Redson. I have taken control of the Weather Station and will harness the very power of nature to return my father to his former glory. This message is more of a courtesy really." He pushes a lever, causing a storm to appear and rain, flooding the Great Wall. "When I'm finished, my father will once more dominate the world! And then- Oh look! A lightning button."
*Mk's team watches the broadcast on a TV on Sandy's boat.*
"Okay, I swear that guy is getting on my nerves." said Miwa with an annoyed sigh.
"Oh yeah!" cheered Mei and Mk.
"What do you mean 'Oh yeah'? This ain't an 'oh yeah' moment!" said Pigsy.
"Chill out, Pigsy. I'm invincible, remember? And Mimi hardly takes any damage, if he wants to tussle with the champs, then I say bring it!" said Mk.
"Yeah! 'Cause he's a superhero, yo! The Red Baby is gonna get M.K.O'd!" said Mei.
"I don't know guys, maybe we should–" Miwa didn't get to finish, as she got dragged by Mk grabbing her hand and having her get on the staff with him.
"Uh, you got a lot to learn, kid. Don't just dive head first in the danger- Wait, what did I just say?" said Pigsy only to see that Mk and Miwa had left their spots.
Mk laughs. "Totally invincible!" He shouted as he and Miwa headed off.
"Mk!!" shouted Miwa.
It didn't take them long until they arrived at the Weather Station, as Mk kicked open the doors with Miwa right behind him looking a little annoyed.
"Not so fast, Redson!" Mk declared, ready for a fight.
"Noodle Boy! I thought I smelled some garbage! Turns out I was right!" Redson laughed, until he took notice of Miwa. "Oh, and I see you brought my beautiful Ruby with you."
"What the fuck did you just call me, punk!?" Miwa narrowed her eyes at him. At least he wasn't calling her "his wife" anymore, so she wasn't that mad, but that didn't mean it changed anything.
"You're laughing now, but...I'm invincible! And Mimi are pretty much the same! So yeah, you're basically toast. Prepare to get M.K.O'd!" shouted Mk as he got ready to attack with the staff.
It wasn't long until the others arrived just in time to help, or at least that was the plan.
"Yeah, Mk! You show him who's boss-" The Golden Staff slams into Mei's head.
"Mei!?" screamed Miwa in shock before quickly dodging the staff from hitting her.
"Jeez, watch what'cha doing!" screamed Pigsy.
"Sorry, Mei!" screamed Mk as he was losing control of the staff.
Mk nearly hits Pigsy and Tang. The Golden Staff hits Sandy.
"Not Sandy too!" shouted Miwa in disbelief.
"Oh, my chakra!" said Sandy as he fell over.
"Oh, no! You've killed him!" shouted Tang in horror.
"Eh, he's a big guy. He'll be fine." said Mei.
"You dorks done beating each other up yet?" Redson asked.
"Yes, and you're next on my list!" said Mk going on to point the staff towards Redson.
"Mk, wait!" shouted Miwa grabbing the staff, getting a bad feeling so acted without much thinking.
Mk throws the Golden Staff at Redson. The staff flags behind them and extends, jabbing him and Miwa. They are both thrown out of the Weather Station and they both scream.
"I guess the garbage takes itself out now!" Redson laughs. "Wait.... He took my Ruby with him!?"
*They crashes into the road, causing a giant crater. They both groans.*
"How you doing there, bud? Sunny?" Monkey King asked, while relaxing on his cloud.
"Huh? When did you show up, Wukong?" Miwa questioned.
"Monkey King! Great! Now that you're here, we can go fly up there and smash that-" said Mk excited only to get cut off by Wukong.
"No, no, no, no, no. In case you forgot, I'm retired. You're supposed to be taking care of the bad guys. Besides, you're invincible! Right? Except for Sunshine here." said Monkey King, going on to pat Miwa's head.
"What?" Miwa got more confused at that statement, along with him patting her head again.
"Well, yeah I mean, I am invincible, but, you know. Every time I try to do anything I just gunk everything up. Something's wrong. Wait, what do you mean by Miwa isn't invincible too?" Monkey King gets on Mk's shoulders. "Hey, what are you doing?"
"Oh yeah, you're right. Oh, this is bad. Something's really wrong." said Monkey King.
Mk let out a gasp. "What is it? What's wrong?"
"It's you, dummy." said Monkey King, pulling out a bug from Mk's hair and eating it.
"Ew." said Miwa, wishing she hadn't seen that.
"What?" said Mk.
"In order to have full control of your powers, you need self-confidence." said Monkey King.
"I got self-confidence!" said Mk.
"No, you're just loud." said Monkey King and Miwa in unison.
Monkey King raised an eyebrow at her before going on to clear his throat. "The only way to get self-confidence is-"
"Fake it 'til I make it?" Mk guessed.
"No! Practice! You think I took shortcuts? No. It took me centuries of training and fighting and just beating up demons. Just, so many demons. A-anyway, nothing worth anything comes for free." Monkey King coughs.
"Learned it the hard way, didn't you?" Miwa whispered with a slight smirk, only to get bonked on the head.
"Shush, Freckles." Monkey King went on to use a different staff to hit her in the head, before giving it to her. "Also, here is your own staff, try not to lose it."
"But what about my friends, the city? They're all counting on me and Mimi." said Mk.
Monkey King groans. "Fine. If it'll stop your whining. I know a way to limit your powers so you can learn to control them. But..."
"But what?" Mk asked.
"You won't be invincible anymore." said Monkey King.
Mk sighs. "Alright let's do it"
"All right. No turning back." Monkey King puts his hands together and puts them in front of Mk. He pushes Mk backward, limiting his powers. Mk falls to his knees. "Feeling alright, bud?"
"Yeah!" said Mk, before then turning to Miwa. "But wait, what did you mean with Mimi not being invincible? Oh! Think you can do anything that could make her stronger!"
"Mk, I don't need him to make me stronger. Besides, didn't he just say that nothing comes for free, and it takes a lot of practice." Miwa crossed her arms with a slight sigh.
"Mhm, you heard the Princess, looks like someone here listened well." said Monkey King, going on the ruffle Miwa's hair as she tried batting his hand away. "Now, how about I give you two a lift back to the station."
*Back at the Weather Station.*
Redson laughs. "Peasants."
"Oh, Redson!" Mk and Miwa comes in being dropped by Monkey King.
"Let's settle this for real. I won't let you get away with this." said Mk.
Redson cackles. "You're back to beat yourself up some more? I see you at least brought back my Ruby."
"Okay that's it! I'm calling dibs on beating this guy up first!" said Miwa, holding up her new staff.
"Hey. I'll have you know I can control my powers now. Only downside is I'm not invincible anymore, so I could die." said Mk.
Miwa looked over at him with a raised eyebrow. "....You didn't have to tell him that, you idiot."
"What?!" shouted Pigsy.
"Forgot I said that I got this. Here comes Monkie Kid and Luna Kid!" said Mk and went for the attack with Miwa.
Redson charges with a bunch of Bull Clones
"I totally don't got this!" Mk screams, runs away as the Bull Clones rain from the sky.
Miwa narrowed her eyes at the Bull Clones, and went on to surround her staff in cosmic energy that started firing stars at them with every swing she made.
She glances over at Redson and made a big swing with her staff, sending a comet right at him. "Take this! Bull boy!"
Redson saw the comet and quickly dodged it before charging at Mk and they fight for a bit. Redson then throws MK into the Weather Station.
"Mk!" shouted Miwa, Bull Clones started surrounding her. "Alright, I think it's time for a nap." The clones gave her a confused look, even Redson.
"Oh no, this is the worst time to be captured." said Tang.
"Mk! Cover your ears!" shouted Miwa getting in position, taking a deep breath and trying to calm herself. Opening her mouth she started singing in a soft tone causing everyone who didn't have their ears covered to fall asleep.
Mk was able to put something in his ears so he couldn't hear Miwa's singing as he goes on to look around, then activates his Golden Eyes of Truth. "Oh! It's that weird Gold Vision thingy." He looks up and sees the lighting and gets an idea. "That's it! Oh!"
Miwa stopped singing and ran over to Mk as everyone started waking up. "Did you get an idea?"
"Yeah, I got one." A smirk grew on Mk's face and goes on to use his staff, having it grow taller, striking all the Bull Clones and pushing Redson high into the sky.
Miwa let out a long whistle. "Damn, those guys went up high."
"Oh, look! A lighting button." Mk imitated the same voice Redson used and pushes a button on the console.
*Lightning strikes down, electrocuting the bull clones. Mk and Miwa hides behind the console as the strike finishes.*
Redson hits the ground. "You may have won this round but... you're still garbage!" He disappears in a fire tornado.
"Such a sour loser." said Miwa though let out a slight giggle.
"Let's get this place back to normal" Mk then switches everything on the console back to normal, it becomes sunny again. "And that should do it."
"Mk! Miwa!" Mei then slams herself into them, Sandy follows. "Aw, you really did limit your power."
"Yeah. Just till I learn to control them better." said Mk.
"And... how are you gonna do that?" Pigsy asked.
Miwa and Mk looked at each other, giving each other a smile. "Practice, practice, practice." He bumps himself in the head with his staff.
Mei, Miwa, Pigsy, Sandy and Tang all laugh.
