According to the research carried out by the Staranse Mage clan over a period of 700 years, the Doom Spell was hidden away in the Pain Rend Dimension. This was a world similar to the Seamless Realm in which the Staranse clan had established themselves. The only difference was that the Pain Rend Dimension was of a higher class. It was not a simple realm, but an entirely separate dimension. This dimension was created by Hades, and it was in this place that he had hidden many of his creations, including the Doom Spell.
Very few people knew of the Pain Rend Dimension, and even fewer people knew of how to enter this place. In fact, it was said that it was easier for a mortal to enter heaven than to reach this dimension.
The clan seemed very sure that the Doom Spell was hidden in this place. With this knowledge of what the clan desired, Cate thought of why the Seamless Emperor had invited his councilors to watch this battle and why he had been looking at the Wandering Palace as though it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
"He must want to get his hands on the wandering palace and, in doing so, complete the key of destiny. With a wandering palace fueled by the Key of Destiny, the complete key with all its power, the Seamless Emperor must believe that he would be able to break into the Pain Rend Dimension. After all, nothing can escape the power of destiny. Even Hades does not have the power to set up a dimension truly free from the influence of destiny. With this in mind, the wandering palace, which rides the waves of destiny to move through space, would be the perfect and most logical gateway to the Pain Rend Dimension. Since this is what the Staranse want, there might actually be a way in which I can get my hands on the key of destiny without going through too much scheming and wasting so much time. I should take this opportunity."
Cate brought all her thoughts on the matter together to form a coherent flow. She then looked at the emperor with a serious gaze.
"I have a proposal to make," Cate said after standing up and bowing deeply. In this moment, she appeared to be the perfect manifestation of loyalty and respect. The emperor was caught off guard by this. He looked at his nephew. This man had never been pleasing to his eyes, but they were still related by blood.
"You may speak," the emperor said.
Cate nodded at this.
"How good it is that I managed to make Galeazzo my incarnation. Without him, this opportunity would never have showed itself. It seems that even karma is on my side in this war. The gods shall fall," Cate thought.
"I think that we should contact the Wandering Palace Master and get them to work with us. Since the Divine Temple has released information that the Palace Master has two of the Keys of Destiny, we can work with her to bring about the complete Key of Destiny. With the Wandering Palace powered by the power and endlessness of Destiny, I believe that we should be able to use the palace to enter the Pain Rend Dimension. There, we can get our hands on the Doom Spell. With this spell at hand, our great clan can reach an even greater level of power, possibly uniting the Three Mage clans and becoming an Archean Clan, only below the gods," Cate said all this with a single breath. She wanted to avoid interruptions from the other council members.
As she spoke, she indeed saw a few of them trying to squeeze into the flow, but she made sure not to give them even a single inch. By the time she was done speaking, all the members were in utter shock. She could see regret on many of their faces; it was clear that these people found it regrettable that they had not been the ones to think of this matter. When they saw the smile on the emperor's face, they realized that the emperor had been hoping that one of them would stand up and say these exact words.
As emperor, it would be unbecoming for him to personally suggest that they work with a criminal, a dark sorcerer such as Cate. On top of this, there were rumors going around that Catherine Danescu was the reincarnation of Medusa. Now that Cate / the Red Prince / Galeazzo had proposed the matter, the council could discuss everything out in the open and take the appropriate action. Even if they concluded that it was a good idea to work with a Dark Sorcerer and, in the end, something went wrong, the emperor and the throne would remain protected from any negative fallout.
The discussions were opened. In the start, all the council members raised one objection after another, but Cate had lived for far too long. These objections were easily taken down by Cate's silver tongue. By the time she was done, even the emperor, who suspected the Red Prince of having less than honorable intentions towards the throne, now looked at his nephew with glowing eyes filled with a glimmer of approval.
"Since you raised the proposal and appear to have thought of everything, I now put you in charge of reaching out to the Wandering Palace Master for discussions on the matter. Find out what price she demands for her cooperation in this endeavor. As long as it does not cross our bottom line, I as the Seamless Emperor shall be willing to pay up."
The poor emperor had no idea that he was already talking to the Wandering Palace Master, and even if the deal did not go through, he would end up paying what Cate had come for.
Back in the Wandering Palace, Cate felt an excitement go through her the moment the emperor gave the go-ahead. She was one with her incarnation. Whatever the Red Prince felt, heard, experienced, and went through, Cate would be in the same state. They were truly one being.
The Wandering Palace had already fixed itself, and Cate had already reached London.
