Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Red-Hair... Is the Diva's Dad

Chapter 1: Red-Hair… Is the Diva's Dad

On the edge of Dawn Island, located in the East Blue and part of the Goa Kingdom, was the small Windmill Village.

Fruits were scattered all over the ground.

Standing in front of King Luffy was a black gorilla.

Its face was swollen—beaten up by King Luffy.

"Ohya? Weren't you acting all cocky just two days ago? What, already out of gas?"

King Luffy slowly peeled a banana, looking down at the gorilla with a mocking gaze.

"If that's all you've got, then you're not getting these fruits. Come on, come on, show me some real skills!"

As he munched on the banana, King Luffy continued taunting the gorilla.

Enraged, the gorilla lifted its large, muscular, hairy palm and swung at Luffy—

Only to have him easily dodge it.

"Such a useless little animal, nye~"

The human kid's mockery was too much for the gorilla to bear. With tears forming in the corners of its eyes, it turned and started to leave.

"Aww fine, I'll share a bit of fruit with you."

Having bullied it enough, King Luffy spoke with fake generosity.

As expected, the gorilla turned back joyfully and started grabbing fruit from Luffy's side.

The boy and beast munched away happily.

"The world really is full of wonders… even animals that can understand human speech."

Luffy patted the gorilla's shoulder as he ate an orange.

Just as they were finishing up, a wild boar appeared behind King Luffy, having already scratched at the ground, snorting like it was announcing its arrival.

This boar was a true knight—it never attacked Luffy from behind.

Seeing the boar, the gorilla let out a few grunts and quickly disappeared up a tree.

"Alright then, let me show you the strength of human martial arts!"

King Luffy clapped his hands, got up from the ground, and faced the boar head-on.

The earth trembled as the boar lowered its head and charged, tusks aimed forward.

Luffy struck a cool pose:

"Tekkai (Iron Body)!"

And then—he was sent flying.

Slammed several meters away, straight off a cliff and into the deep blue sea.

Mid-air, Luffy didn't even resist, allowing himself to splash straight into the water with a loud plunk.

A moment later, a large hand scooped him up.

A sturdy, bear-like old man appeared like a flash, pulling Luffy from the sea:

"You still can't swim? You'll never be a great Marine like this."

"I don't wanna be a Marine," Luffy replied, shaking off the seawater and opening his eyes.

"No. You must become the best Marine," the man said sternly. Wearing beach shorts and a loose shirt, he gently placed Luffy onto a nearby rock.

"I won't! I just want to live happily in this world!" Luffy declared.

Enraged by the rebellion, the man clenched his teeth, raised his fist, and punched Luffy in the head—knocking him flat—before turning to leave.

"Ow ow ow! Armament Haki is too OP…"

Groaning from the cliffside, King Luffy climbed up and hung from a tree branch in complaint.

This was King Luffy—but he was a transmigrator, someone who'd crossed over into the body of this version of Luffy.

And that man? None other than Garp, his grandfather.

Currently, Garp was still relatively young, with only slightly graying hair. He hadn't met Shanks yet.

Otherwise, Luffy thought, he'd at least get a chance to yell "I'll become the Pirate King!" to spite the old man.

Looking out over the sea, Luffy's eyes suddenly lit up—

On the coastline, two swords stabbed through a red-scarred skull on a pirate flag flapped in the wind.

It was a fairly ordinary wooden sailing ship, small in size, but the flag alone revealed their identity.

Pirates!

The pirates had arrived!

But there was no panic among the villagers.

They were used to this unique pirate ship.

The red-scarred pirate flag didn't represent plunder or slaughter, but rather drinking, partying, and short visits.

They never disturbed the peace of the village.

In fact, thanks to these pirates, the local economy had improved somewhat.

"Shanks is here!"

Luffy racked his brain, trying to remember how the original Luffy in One Piece started talking to Shanks.

He couldn't recall exactly—but it didn't matter. As long as he played the part of a regular kid, Shanks, being an adult and a pirate, wouldn't take him seriously anyway.

Besides, his grandpa was the sheriff of this island!

So, seven-year-old Luffy happily ran to the shore.

Pirates in various outfits disembarked from the ship, carrying with them the salty scent of the sea.

"So these are pirates..."

Luffy watched the red-haired crew members of all shapes and sizes. As expected, none of them paid attention to a little kid like him, walking right past him like air.

"Hey, got something to say?"

A crisp, childish voice rang in Luffy's ears.

A little girl with striking red-and-white dual-colored hair looked proudly at the dripping-wet boy.

In contrast to Luffy, she was dressed in glamorous clothes and adorned with pearl necklaces.

She looked more like a little princess than a pirate.

"You're…" Luffy looked at the girl in disbelief.

Uta?!

Did he transmigrate into the wrong version of One Piece? Why was there a songstress character in his face?!

"Uta da yo~! I'm the diva of the Red-Haired Pirates!"

Seeing someone her own age, Uta cheerfully introduced herself to the country bumpkin.

Luffy wasn't interested. That weird red-white hair was suspicious enough—let alone the fact that she was a future obsessive yandere.

Instead, his eyes locked onto the last person to appear.

A man with red hair, three scars across his face, and a longsword at his waist lazily stepped off the ship.

He exuded an inexplicable charisma—something that made people want to follow him.

Red-Haired Shanks… you're the Diva's Dad!

Ignoring the oddity of Uta's appearance, Luffy looked excitedly at Shanks.

"Hey! You're the captain of this pirate crew, right?!"

"Let's duel! I'll be the one to protect this world!"

Luffy shouted boldly.

Then he charged with fists raised—aiming straight for a crewmate of the Pirate King himself!

Only to be casually caught by Shanks with one hand gripping the back of his neck.

"Darn it! That's cheating!"

Luffy kicked and punched in the air, but his short limbs couldn't do anything to Shanks at all.

"A duel, huh? Let's wait until you grow up first."

Shanks smiled and gently set him down.

"Bwahahahaha…"

The crew roared with laughter at Luffy's defeat.

"I fought Shanks to a standstill!"

Luffy didn't care what others thought. As soon as he was put down, he threw a little fist that landed right on Shanks' chest.

Mission accomplished!
