Chapter 5: The Darkness of The Brothers
The only way Nelphindie, Raphelio and the sisterhood could get to The Abyss was a gate made of brimstone and a dragon skull. Luckily, they had two dragon skulls from killing the earth and poison dragon. They had no brimstone though so they would have to go to the volcano which was two days' time from them. They could get there faster on beasts, so Nelphindie picked out a black and white tiger. Raphelio would fly there since he was an angel.
The sisterhood gave Nelphindie a spell that could summon them to her location once they got there. Once the brimstone was gathered, they summoned the sisterhood. Then they made two portals, one going to The Abyss and one coming back to the Beast Lands. To not be lost in the twisted lands of The Abyss they had somewhat of a map to it. They would still need to find a guide when they got there, which would be tricky.
Once they got to The Abyss with the portal, they were met by a demon satyr. Nelphindie was going to kill the satyr, but it said something first. "I can guide you in this realm if you spare me." So, finding a guide was easier than it seemed. Nelphindie said back "Can you bring us to Mount Jiskal where we seek friends." This was the last known location of the brothers. The guide didn't know it was going to be a fight once they got there.
On their way to Mount Jiskal Nelphindie and Raphelio fought many demons. The sisterhood also fought hordes of demons as well. The Abyss was really dangerous, so they were fighting a lot on their way to anywhere. They approached Jiskal and felt an energy that was corrupt. The brothers were near, and they would be in for a fight they wouldn't forget.
Shinro and Dimitri had a sneak attack in mind that would devastate the sisterhood. Shinro was a blade wielder while Dimitri was a dark mage. Dimitri used his dark magic to engulf the land in pitch black. This would also trap anyone in its grasp. Most of the sisterhood got trapped. Shinro known as the silent blade, wounded seven of the sisterhood before Nelphindie even knew what was happening. No one would die that's not what the brothers wanted. They wanted to give over everyone to the sins and have them take care of them.
Only Nelphindie, Raphelio and Leifeya were ready to combat. The rest of the sisterhood were taken out by the brothers. Nelphindie used swift dance to try and attack Shinro. They exchanged blows which didn't affect either one of them. Dimitri was focused on the angels. Who used light magic against him imbuing their swords with holy flames. Dimitri was struggling to keep Raphelio as bay as he flew around striking him. Dimitri used his dark shield to protect himself. While casting shadow magic which didn't much affect the angels.
Shinro and Nelphindie fought for at least half the day. Which wasn't really daylight since The Abyss was always dark. Nelphindie used her swift dance to avoid Shinro. While striking every chance she got and making the most out of her speed. Shinro used Silent Flow technique on Nelphindie which wore down on her offence as well as her defense. It was a technique that reduced the effectiveness of attacks from the opponent. Nelphindie used Time Magic to try and slow down Shinro it wasn't very effective. It did slow him enough for Nelphindie to use her dagger in the most lethal way she could. She stabbed Shinro near his heart just missing it. Then she used a sealing curse to stop Shinro from moving.
Dimitri was also defeated by Raphelio and Leifeya. It was a bad matchup since he was weaker against light magic. Nelphindie said "Do you both yield and will you stop this madness. Just forget what the sins ever promised you. They are tricking both of you into turning against me and Oblivion." Dimitri said "You might have bested us, but we will never listen to you. The reason we are against you is not the sins. Its because we want the Goddess's powers and magic." Shinro and Dimitri had a trick up their sleeves. Not quite to harm Nelphindie but to escape. They used this elusive magic to teleport out of the vicinity and out of the reach of Nelphindie.
Nelphindie said "You cowards why would you run." After waiting a few moments, a shadow mage appeared. It was the oracle of The Abyss. The oracle said "What do you seek the most here. As well as why do you seek it." Nelphindie said "We seek the abyssal device. But we don't want to use it to cause chaos or destroy anything. We want it to protect Oblivion and defeat the sins." The oracle then replied "To protect is better than to destroy and yes, I believe you. However, you do know that the abyssal device will engulf your lands in darkness if misused."
The same oracle had talked to the brothers however they wanted to use the abyssal device to conquer. Which The Abyss and the oracle would not allow. The brothers were retreating to go to Oblivion to join the sins. Nelphindie said to the oracle "I understand the risk I take in using the abyssal device. However, it might be the only way to defeat the sins." The oracle gave the device to Nelphindie and they set out to the portal to the Beast Lands.
Once they returned to the Beast Lands, they made a stop at the sisterhood's base. Nelphindie was going to have her baby, the Goddess reborn in about two weeks. She would stay at the Beast Lands till the last possible moment. The Goddess would die when she had her baby. However, Nelphindie would gain more powers including being able to go anywhere in any plane at any time. She would use it to get into Altros and swap the Goddess with her baby. Who would grow up within a blink of the eye. Yet would not be as strong as the Goddess that once was. This would allow the sins to attack Altros before the new Goddess could deploy a shield again. This would be the start to the war that would decide the fate of Oblivion.
