Quaggs' skin rattled as he endured the blows.
Although he truly fought with all his strength, after only a few exchanges he began to lose.
Just as he himself had said, years of imprisonment had drained his body and spirit. His power now did not even reach a tenth of its former strength.
Moreover, he had already transferred a third of his energy to Aron earlier, which further widened the gap between him and Naga.
"What you said just now sounded so grandiose," Naga roared mockingly, "and yet… is this all you have?"
Naga was directly struck by dozens of annihilation beams.
With each purple beam of destruction, a large amount of flesh and blood disappeared from Naga's body.
But in the next moment, the wounds quickly closed.
Naga, the lord of the oceanic dimension, fought on his own ground. It was as if his body was fused with the dimension itself, an infinite source of energy always at his disposal.
It looked as though he was fighting while standing in the middle of an inexhaustible spring of water, as long as the ocean existed, he could continuously regenerate.
Since the damage could not be avoided, Naga simply didn't even try to stop it.
He took the hits and struck back even harder.
For Quaggs, who was already weakened, this meant an unstoppable downfall.
"Kaecilius! Come here! Help me restrain him!" Quaggs voice was full of despair as he called out.
Aron watched with a serious expression. He couldn't help but feel a certain irony. Quaggs, who had earlier puffed out his chest and spoken so grandiosely, now in an instant was losing strength and begging for help.
At that very moment, Naga seized the opportunity. His one enormous eye glowed with white light and focused directly on Quaggs soul.
As a dimensional lord, Quaggs had enormous physical power, but his inner soul defense was vulnerable.
The white light pierced his mind.
Quaggs consciousness was shaken, and even if only for a moment, he faltered.
In a battle between titans, even a fraction of a second could be fatal.
"That's what you are, Quaggs! Just weak!"
Naga took advantage of the moment. His massive arms wrapped around one of Quaggs' limbs. With brutal force he yanked and tore off a tentacle, blood spurting into the ocean like an underwater geyser.
As the waves boiled, Naga regenerated faster and faster. His power here was practically limitless.
The ocean was his body. Every drop of water carried a part of his power.
"How long has it been since you last stood here, Quaggs?" Naga roared. "How much energy do you have left? A tenth? Or just a twentieth?"
He raised his hand and in an instant formed new whirlpools.
Enormous torrents, each thousands of meters in diameter, began to rotate. The underwater whirlpools moved as an extension of his being, like giant hands grabbing and tearing.
"Aaaaaah!" Quaggs screamed as his consciousness cleared. Only then did he fully feel the pain of the torn tentacle.
But he had no time to recover. The remaining tentacles were caught by the whirlpools.
The tearing force was terrifying. It was as if the ocean itself had taken the role of executioner.
Each tentacle was being pulled in opposite directions, the immense ripping force threatening to tear his body apart.
It all happened in the blink of an eye.
Quaggs only for a moment met Naga's gaze.
That moment of weakness was enough to lose against the overwhelming combination of strikes, power, and infinite energy of his opponent.
"Wait until I kill you, report this thing, Gargantos…"
"I will receive wonderful gifts!"
Naga manipulated the submarine whirlpool and increased the speed of rotation.
However.
Just when he thought the strike was certain.
Buzz——!
Suddenly, a black light of a sword appeared.
"Hm?"
By the time Naga felt the blow, it was too late.
This enormous sea beast, thousands of meters long, was struck by the sword.
The massive body trembled!
On his body, a wound the size of an abyss opened!
Yet in the next moment the wound quickly closed and disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"Is his regeneration really that strong?"
Aron held the Necrosword.
The aura of evil that surrounded him differed from Naga's and Quaggs, standing opposed to both.
That thick, dark aura made Naga doubtful.
Among the three of us, who is actually the dimensional lord?
"Kaecilius, you…"
Because of Aron's sword, Quaggs gained the chance to escape.
He began firing annihilation beams to evaporate the water forming the whirlpool, trying to break free from danger.
But then…
Quaggs froze.
He noticed Kaecilius, the man he had always underestimated and considered weak.
Unexpectedly, that very man displayed power greater than his own.
No!
Not less, not equal!
Instead of remaining weak, he surpassed him.
"That's not fair~"
Quaggs' head couldn't move.
How was it possible that he, who had claimed he lacked the energy to acquire so many exorcist cards, was now in an instant stronger than me?
Him?
Me?
Quaggs glared angrily through his twelve large eyes.
The pain from the severed tentacles was unbearable; in his eyes remained only confusion and disbelief.
Why do I feel… as if I've been tricked?
"I thought you would fight longer so it would be seen who is the winner, and who the loser."
"The results were truly disappointing."
Aron still held the Necrosword.
His figure was wrapped in evil darkness.
With the energy of destruction that Quaggs had unknowingly released and the beneficial influence of the sword, Aron had finally touched the threshold of a Single universe.'
Even though that power came through an external artifact.
But who doesn't use power from external sources?
The supervillain Thanos, without the blessing of many artifacts such as the Infinity Stones, couldn't even defeat Odin.
"Well, no wonder…"
"It turns out that's what strengthened you."
After a brief shock, Naga felt the current of destruction within Aron's body.
Then relief.
"Quaggs cannot defeat me."
"You are after all, even with his energy of destruction and with that strange device."
"And what then?"
Naga said nothing and launched an attack toward Aron.
He manipulated the massive masses of water around him.
Several enormous whirlpools formed.
Each whirlpool reached a diameter of several thousand meters; the turbulent seawater counted in the hundreds of millions of tons!
"Again this?"
Aron looked at Naga with contempt.
"Can't you think of anything new besides manipulating water?"
"…"
Naga was somewhat taken aback.
You think I don't want to use other tricks?
The question is, did my other tricks work?
Aron teleported.
He easily avoided the whirlpools Naga created.
He also used the space stone…
Unless Naga turned the entire oceanic dimension into an infinite whirlpool, it would be nearly impossible for Aron to be sucked into those whirlpools.
With teleportation, he easily crossed distances.
Aron's heart quickened its rhythm.
Purple energy of destruction burst from his body and formed several enormous tentacles around him.
Just as Quaggs had claimed.
Who told you that you could only summon weak tentacles?
The few tentacles Aron now summoned were massive like Quaggs' ontological tentacles!
Thousands of meters long!
Nearly a hundred meters wide!
Like a mountain range, they rose from the seabed!
The ends of those tentacles glowed purple.
"Quaggs, your ability is very useful!"
