Chapter 147: The Morning After
Light found the room in thin slats, sliding through the window and stitching pale bands across the heavy furs.
Sophia rolled on the bed, as she breathed deeply. It was like she was in heaven. There was just something about the scent of the room that seemed to calm her down.
Scent...scent?
Her eyes snapped open immediately as the thought came in. And as she did, it was like everything that happened the previous night came back to her in full force.
She didn't mind the festival and what they did at the square. It was what they did after. She was in Orion's room. She remembered everything. The feel of his hands on her body, his mouth against herself as she drew him closer, she even straddled him at some point.
Mortification washed over Sophia. Who gave her the idea? Where did it come from? Scrap the idea who even gave her the courage to do what she did last night?
