Chapter 4 - Falling in love is very curious pt 2

So, she turns me down. I tell her it's no problem, that it's okay, I respect her decision. Then, two weeks later, like I said, she replies to one of my Instagram stories. It felt like she still wanted to be around somehow, because honestly, I think she liked me too. You know how it is, there's a step between liking someone and being in a relationship. Before you fall in love, you have to feel attracted first. That's the thing. I think I'm a decent guy, with a good body, maybe I catch some women's attention.

Anyway, she replied to my story. Two weeks had passed, so I thought, huh, that's strange. I figured she wasn't interested since we had stopped talking. But she messaged me, and we started chatting again. What happened next? I don't even know how it came to me, at the time, I was just chilling, having a few beers, listening to music in my living room. I was in that laid-back vibe, thinking, it's over, whatever, it didn't work out.

We were texting again, and it no longer felt serious, just kind of casual. One night she says to me, hey, I haven't eaten dinner. And then I had what I thought was the best idea, I told her, you haven't eaten? Damn, well then order yourself something to eat. We weren't anything serious, not even real friends, we had just been talking. But I said that. And she replied, thank you so much, that's really thoughtful. I really appreciate that. How sweet.

Then she started asking more about me. What kind of music do you like, she said. I told her about this artist I liked, about his lyrics and harmony. And she said, that's cool. Then she started sending me pictures of what she was listening to, it was the same music I had mentioned. And I was like, wow, that's cool, that's really sweet. I said it half-jokingly, but it felt nice.

So things started to feel like they were going somewhere again. It wasn't just a one-time thing anymore. The next week she says again, hey Juan, I haven't had breakfast. And I'd say, well, if you want breakfast, order something. Because I work during the day. Funny thing is, I worked in the morning, and she worked in the afternoon and evening because her family owns a coffee shop.

We couldn't hang out during the day. But she'd tell me in the morning that she hadn't had breakfast, that she wanted a coffee, because she loves coffee. And I'd be like, go get breakfast then, I can't go out right now. And she'd reply, yeah, I wish you could come with me, grab a coffee. And I'd be thinking, this is weird, two weeks ago she didn't want anything, and now it seems like maybe she does. Who knows, right?
