Chapter 7 - My first experience with love

Many people wonder what love is. Love is something you just can't explain. It's really the only thing you can't explain. The first time you fall in love, you feel things, let's say, out of this world, things you've never experienced before in your life, new things, strange things, so to speak. It was in fourth year of high school, that's when I met a very pretty girl, fair-skinned, nice, intelligent. It was kind of curious because she had just transferred to my school in the middle of the year, and curiously she ended up in a different classroom. For example, my school was divided into sections A, B, C, D, E, and F. At that time it went up to F, I think now there are more letters. She got into the C section, if I'm not mistaken, and I was in B. The thing is, this girl was very controlled by her mother, so when she joined her class, her mom caused her a lot of problems, and when I say problems, I mean not just with her, but like, if she had any issues with a classmate or a teacher, her mother would come storming in, making a scene with the teacher or students, kind of embarrassing her daughter. This led to her being moved from section C to section B, which was mine, and that was the first moment I saw her. Honestly, I was struck, she was a beautiful girl with a nice complexion, the kind I liked, with a nice body. Truth be told, I wasn't ugly in high school, nor was I super handsome, I was somewhere in between, maybe a bit above average, though I didn't take much care of myself. I was younger back then, more introverted. I had my neighborhood, of course, because I lived in a dangerous area, but I was quiet and studious. That's why I was in section B. Now, here's a side note, at that time I had a best friend who was literally the prettiest girl in the whole school, so it was kind of funny because my best friend started to get jealous of her. And why was she jealous? Because as soon as this new girl came in, she was seated behind me by pure chance, and that's where the title "destiny" comes from, nothing is coincidence. So we started talking pretty often, we'd talk and talk, and over time we became good friends, gained more trust, and spent more time together at school. Every now and then we'd eat together in the cafeteria, spend recess together, we even worked in groups together. There was one day in particular when we had to form groups and this girl asked me to be in her group and I said yes. She was alone because she had a group but had gotten into a fight with her classmates, I felt bad for her and wanted to keep her company. Then, minutes later, my best friend called me and asked if I was already in a group, and I told her I was still figuring out who to join. Like I said, I think my best friend might've liked me a little, I don't know, I can't really explain it now. But I told her I was still seeing, and she asked me straight up, yes or no, are you in a group with someone, yes or no, and I said yes, I'm with this person. And my best friend didn't like that girl, so she made me choose. She said, I want you to be in my group, and put me in a tough spot, between the girl I thought was really pretty and my best friend who was also nice. So I had to choose between her or the other girl, and that's when I decided, I thought, well, with my best friend I probably won't end up being with her, because she was the most beautiful girl in the whole damn school, she had a lot of admirers and was really popular, let's say, so I saw it as impossible to be with her.
