Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

How did it come to this?

"Wuwu… wuwu…"

No—how could Fu Siyan be dead?

"It seems you really didn't know," Su Nuo snorted coldly and continued,

"The only reason you weren't burned alive on the spot… was because Fu Siyan risked everything to save you. But he wasn't so lucky. He died right there—instantly.

Tsk tsk, such a terrible sight. You wouldn't believe how miserable it was."

"Ahhh…"

It felt like her chest had been struck with a sledgehammer.

Su Jin let out a scream of anguish, her eyes turning bloodshot as she glared at Su Nuo—burning with hatred.

Why? Why Fu Siyan?

She had always pushed him away, rejected his kindness, ignored his quiet love.

And now… now she realized it—Fu Siyan was the one who truly loved her.

She had been blind.

"Tsk tsk… look at you. Pathetic," Su Nuo sneered, curling her lip in disdain.

A syringe appeared in her hand, and she waved it mockingly in front of Su Jin.

"Since you're in so much pain, let this good sister do one final favor… and send you off properly."

Darkness fell.

And then, dawn approached.

Su Jin's head throbbed as if it were splitting open.

It felt like her entire being was being torn apart and pieced back together again.

The pain reached deep into her soul.

How could death be so painful?

Slowly, Su Jin opened her eyes.

A bright room.

A wide, soft bed.

Everything looked exactly the same as it had eight years ago.

Back then, Su Jin was just 18 years old, newly admitted to a prestigious national university.

To celebrate her achievement, her father had hosted a party for her.

But someone had spiked her drink—with a drug that left her dazed and defenseless.

In that haze, she lost her body, her dignity.

That night became the darkest shadow over her entire life.

She fell into depression and couldn't recover for a long time.

Only after long sessions with a psychologist did she begin to slowly pull herself out of that despair.

Now, thinking back—Su Jin realized the truth.

The one who drugged her… was none other than Su Nuo.

And now… she had been reborn.

Back to the age of 18.

Back to the day it all began.

Su Jin's fingers curled into tight fists, her nails digging deep into her palms.

Her hatred boiled over, turning her eyes bloodshot.

Now that she had returned, she would change everything.

She would never let the tragedy repeat itself.

Suddenly, a man's sleazy voice rang in her ears:

"Oh? You're awake? Good… now things are about to get even more exciting. Hahaha."

Su Jin turned her head—and saw three men standing at the foot of the bed.

One of them was fat and bloated, with squinting eyes and a mouth full of yellowed teeth that could make anyone gag.

So it was this disgusting man who had raped her in her previous life.

A surge of hatred erupted in her chest.

Fighting off the dizziness from the lingering drug, Su Jin tried to suppress its effects.

"Get away from me! Don't touch me!"

She rolled off the bed, but her limbs were weak and unsteady. Her body, still under the influence, couldn't muster strength. All she could do was crawl feebly along the floor.

The man chuckled with sick amusement.

"Haha, still trying to run? Feisty little thing."

"We like the ones who fight back," another one sneered. "Where's the fun in a dead fish?"

Su Jin backed away, inch by inch—but against three adult men, she had no chance of escaping.

Then her eyes flicked to the vase on the nearby table.

A glint of resolve lit up her beautiful but desperate gaze.

Just as the bald man lunged toward her, Su Jin suddenly threw herself forward—slamming her head into the corner of the table.

The burst of pain snapped her into focus.

With a cry, she grabbed the vase and smashed it against the bald man's head.

Crash!

The vase shattered.

The man collapsed to the floor with a groan.

Her sudden counterattack stunned the other two. They hadn't expected this girl, drugged and powerless, to fight back so fiercely.

"You little bitch! You want to die?!" one of them roared.

The two exchanged a glance—then charged at her.

But Su Jin was done being a victim.

She grabbed a shard from the broken vase, pressed it against the fallen man's neck, and glared at the others with fire in her eyes.

"Come closer… if you're not afraid of dying."
