I stared at the anonymous letter in my hand, my entire body rigid with shock. Just one sentence, typed on plain paper, but powerful enough to shatter six years of what I believed to be truth.
"The attack on Vanessa West wasn't rogue wolves—it was ordered by someone in your own pack."
My fingers tightened around the paper until it crumpled. A red haze descended over my vision as rage consumed me. If this was true—if someone in my pack had orchestrated the attack that nearly killed Vanessa—I would tear them apart with my bare hands.
Who had delivered this envelope to my office? I'd found it sitting innocently on my desk when I returned from patrol, unmarked except for my name. The handwriting wasn't familiar.
