Chapter 27 - Shattered Crystal, Unbroken Spirit

Pain shot up my arm as Tristan lifted me into his arms, my bloodied hand cradled against my chest.

"Hold on, Aurelia," he murmured, his voice steady despite the urgency in his movements.

From the corner of my eye, I caught Julian's stunned expression as he stood frozen with Natalie still clutched to his side. His amber eyes blazed with fury, but he made no move to stop us.

"This is none of your concern, Sinclair," Julian growled, his voice carrying across the restaurant.

Tristan didn't even slow down. "She needs medical attention. Something you seem unwilling to provide."

The restaurant patrons watched in shocked silence as Tristan carried me out, leaving Julian behind with his precious Natalie. Blood dripped from my hand onto the expensive marble floor, marking our exit like crimson breadcrumbs.

"My car's right outside," Tristan said, striding purposefully through the parking lot. "The pack medical center isn't far."
