With the public divided over his actions, it will be interesting to see the end result of this…"
Tristain read out the headline on the front page of the Daily Bugle. The whole page was filled with news about Tony Stark – Iron man. There were countless articles, some praising him and others calling him a public menace.
Normally, the news about Tony Stark would at most be about his invention, an arms deal or simply a scandal about him dating a Hollywood actress.
But everything has changed since he has announced to the world that he was Iron man.
The public didn't know how to react to a single man being equipped with a weapon of mass destruction.
Hence, there was a lot of discussion about it.
Although Tony Stark has shown behavioral changes in the past few months, many people still didn't trust him and for good reason as his nickname is literally 'The merchant of death'
Though in truth Stark was the only bloke for the suit.
After all, he had seen most of the Marvel movies, read some comics, and was fully aware that soon, Earth would be filled with aliens, sorcerers and gods.
Not to mention that the mad titan was a giant, raisin shaped problem.
"I'm so fucked"
Tristain muttered as he pinched his nose. Dr. Strange himself said that there are millions of realities where the Avengers fail, and half of the universe is doomed.
It's been a week since he had somehow found himself in the body of an 18-year-old teenager named Tristain Mercer living in Queens, New York.
Although reincarnating was an event that shattered his worldview there were other things that were quite unbelievable.
No, he wasn't talking about his dick growing in size. The thing that baffled him the most was his horrible luck, with him being reincarnated not in a normal universe but the Marvel universe.
It had struck him when he saw a photo of Tony Stark in his suit while searching around on the internet for information.
Even Captain America was in fact real and celebrated as a war hero.
He had searched around for other notable characters like Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, Matt Murdock and although they weren't superheroes yet, they still existed and were real people.
A great shock to Tristain was that his new body had memories with Peter Parker himself.
Apparently, they both went to the same high school.
All this had made him think of a lot of scenarios which led to nervousness. He wondered if beings like Knull and Galactus also existed? If so, then Earth was even more royally fucked than before.
Was he just the protagonist of a What if episode titled 'What if little Timmy got reincarnated in the Marvel universe?'.
Was the Earth flat in this universe?
After finding out the Earth was indeed round, Tristain had no choice but to slowly come to terms with his situation.
"Deep breaths…"
After muttering nonsense for a while in an attempt to relax he thought of the positives and negatives of his situation.
The good things were easy to point out; women and the fact that he knew of ways to grow stronger.
But although the positives were nice, there were way, way more negatives.
He knew many people from the comics whose farts would result with the Earth (himself included) ceasing to exist.
"Ugh, maybe I should just kill myself – second deaths the charm."
Tristain thought back to how he had found himself in this new body. It was just a week ago when he had come back from university and started playing a game to pass the time.
Yes, he has crossed over due to a game.
It was one of Marvel's newly released shitty mobile games.
But before Tristain could make his own character, a survey had appeared before him.
It was a standard survey with basic questions though occasionally; there were weird questions too like 'Would you hit it even if she was a skeleton?'.
Tristain had obviously chosen the yes option.
Game is game
It took him half an hour to fill the survey, and the last question was 'Do you want to be a Hero or a Villain?'
Seeing as he considered himself a good lad Tristain was just about to select the hero option when he had suddenly blacked out and woken up in his current body a week ago, being a few years younger and more handsome.
As he thought about all that, suddenly, a holographic box appeared out of nowhere in front of him.
