Chapter 21 - Chapter 19

Author's Pov...

Ren hadn't spoken much after Evan's mother left that day. His mind was a swirling mess of feelings—shock, guilt, and… something he wasn't ready to admit.

Right now, he was silently sitting on the terrace, wearing a soft, loose white shirt with shorts, enjoying the cool afternoon breeze. He could hear faint footsteps behind him.

Butler Evan had arrived with a strict, polite expression, holding sunscreen lotion. "Young master, you cannot go outside under the sun without proper protection," he scolded, squeezing the lotion into his gloved hands.

"It's barely sunny, Evan." Ren complained.

"Rules are rules, young master!."

Ren chuckled, leaning back as the butler carefully applied the sunscreen, layering it gently over his skin, checking every corner, even adjusting the folds of his clothes to ensure no skin was exposed.

"You're thorough as always," Ren smiled softly, admiring Evan's features. His sharp jawline, soft brown eyes, the subtle freckles near his nose. For the first time, instead of panic, Ren just watched him carefully, savoring the smallest details.

When the butler fixed his ironed collar one last time, Ren leaned in and pressed a light kiss on his cheek.

Butler Evan froze. His ears turned red almost instantly, and with a loud cough, he bowed deeply. "Y-Young master! Please, such actions… I must excuse myself!" He fled the scene, practically sprinting away with his face flushed like a tomato.

Ren laughed to himself, his heart oddly fluttering. Maybe these husbands aren't that bad…? He shrugged, grabbing his bag as he prepared to attend his long-awaited college reunion.

---

The party was delightful.

Ren chatted happily with his old friends, laughed until his stomach hurt, and for the first time in a while, he felt… normal. Free from his chaotic daily routine.

They clicked countless pictures, filmed silly videos, and Ren—forgetting the deadly men waiting at home—posted them on his social media accounts.

How would they even find this? He convinced himself they wouldn't notice.

But someone did.

Someone watched every photo, every video, over and over again. His jaw clenched, his pupils dilated, and his grip on the phone almost cracked the screen.

He was smiling with them… laughing with them… He let them touch his shoulder—

The phone screen shattered.

---

When Ren arrived home late that night, the mansion was unusually silent.

No butlers.

No lights.

Just the sound of his own footsteps echoing in the dark hall.

As he reached for the light switch, a sudden warm breath grazed his neck, sending an electric shiver through his spine.

Ren's heart stopped.

He instantly flicked on the lights, his eyes darting around in panic—and there he was.

Evan stood right behind him, dressed in a black turtleneck, a silver chain hanging from his neck, his sleeves rolled up, veins visibly twitching. His lips curled into a smile, but his eyes—his eyes were dark, swirling with obsession and rage.

"Welcome home… my love,'' Evan whispered, stepping closer, cornering Ren against the wall.

Ren's throat went dry. "W-Which one are you now…?"

The man leaned in, brushing Ren's hair behind his ear, voice as sweet as poisoned honey. "Yandere Evan. Nice to meet you."

Ren's legs trembled. "Y-You saw the reunion photos?"

A dangerous glint appeared in Evan's eyes. "You seemed….so happy with them. You let them stand too close to you. You even laughed at their jokes."

Ren tried to reason, "It's just a college party—"

"But you are mine." Evan's voice sharpened, his hand gripping Ren's chin tightly. "You belong to me. Always. Forever."

Ren panicked. "Okay, okay, calm down. We can talk about this—"

Evan's thumb brushed Ren's lower lip, his smile deepening. "You talked enough with them. Now, you'll only talk to me."

Without warning, Evan pulled out handcuffs, the same pair the cop personality used.

"W-Wait, those are for Officer Kade's persona—"

Evan quickly cuffed Ren's wrists together. "You've been naughty, Ren. I need to keep you close until you understand."

Ren struggled, "Okay, this is too much! Can I call a lawyer?!" He glared.

Evan's voice dropped into a velvety growl, "You already met him, remember? He is on my side."

Ren's face fell.

His heartbeat quickened as Evan's forehead pressed gently against his, the closeness suffocating but not entirely unpleasant.

"Tell me, Ren…" Evan whispered against his lips, "how could you smile so brightly….when I wasn't there?"

Ren's face turned crimson. He opened his mouth to protest, but no words came out.

"You have the right to remain mine." Evan smirked, his hand sliding around Ren's waist, pulling him impossibly closer.

Ren's eyes widened. "Y-You're insane."

"And you are stuck with me."

Evan hoisted Ren over his shoulder effortlessly, like a thief stealing a prized jewel. "Let's go. We need to discuss your punishment for making me jealous."

"Wait! Put me down! I have rights! This is illegal!" Ren pounded his fists on Evan's back.

"Shh. You are under arrest, remember?" Evan chuckled, carrying him towards their bedroom.

Ren sighed in defeat.

Here comes The Yandere…how many more to come?
