Chapter 2 - The Big Surprise!

For the past 19 years, my life has been filled with happiness and joy. There were no twists and turns like the ones you'd see in movies or novels.

Many people said I was born like a noble. Some were envious, others judgmental. I don't hate their point of view—because in reality, that's just how my life was.

I was born into a wealthy family. Unlike in those overly dramatic and anti-mainstream movies or novels, my family had no internal conflict whatsoever.

My father and mother? They were very kind to me. They cherished me like a precious gem. But not to the extreme where they would grant me whatever I wished.

They would criticize me when I made mistakes, and even hit me if I did something seriously wrong. But they also took great pride in my achievements—big or small. That's just how they were.

I have two siblings: an older sister and a younger sister. They were both kind and loved me just as much as I loved them.

Like most siblings, of course, we had conflicts. Some were due to different perspectives, others were just childish arguments.

I always believed that my life would continue in this smooth and predictable way. But just before graduating high school, I received a shocking surprise—something I had never imagined.

Switzerland, the heavenly land.

In a luxurious two-story house, inside a bedroom—two people were at the doorway, 'embracing.'

The young woman held the young man tightly, kissing his lips. If you looked closer, the young man's eyes were filled with shock and fear. He was struggling to push the young woman away from his arms.

But she hugged him with all her strength and refused to let go.

After a few moments, their lips parted, a bridge of saliva between them.

The young woman was panting, gazing at the young man with love and tenderness in her eyes.

"I love you, Big Brother\~."

Leon wiped the saliva from his lips with the back of his hand and pushed his sister away.

"Rinia! What on earth are you doing?!".Leon shouted.

There was immense shock and disbelief in his eyes—as if he couldn't comprehend that his only sister, his own flesh and blood, had just kissed him on the lips and uttered words meant for a lover.

"Brother..."

Rinia leaned in again, trying to kiss Leon once more.

But he stopped her with his hand.

"Enough! This isn't like you! What's going on with you? I… I don't understand at all..."Leon said in confusion and disbelief.

Rinia stared at Leon for a moment, then lowered her head.

Her shoulders trembled, and soon, she began to cry.

Leon froze—he had no idea why she was crying.

Seeing his little sister sobbing, his heart softened. He embraced her and gently patted her back.

"Hic... hic..."

"It's okay... it's okay..."

He desperately wanted to ask questions, but thought it best to calm her down first.

After a few minutes, Rinia finally settled down. She didn't speak—just buried her face into Leon's chest.

Leon stroked her hair, not pressing her for answers.

They stayed like that for a while. Finally, Rinia spoke.

"...This is all your fault..." Rinia whispered.

"...My fault?". Leon was stunned, completely clueless as to why this was now his fault.

"If I say it's your fault, then it's your fault!". Rinia pouted.

"Eh…" Leon gave an awkward smile.

Rinia hugged Leon tightly, her mind drifting through memories of their time together.

Age 7

Little Rinia cried as she watched her ice cream fall off the stick.

Little Leon ran to her, saw her fallen ice cream, and then looked at his own—barely bitten.

"Rinia, take mine."

Little Rinia looked up at Leon.

"But… but that's yours. Dad bought it for you..." she sobbed.

"But I'm already full. If you don't want it, I'll throw it away," Leon said, pretending to toss it.

"No! Don't throw it away!"

"Then take it."

Age 9

"Who broke Mom's flower vase?"

Their mother glared at the three of them, pointing to the shattered vase and the expensive bonsai spilled across the floor.

Rinia fidgeted nervously with her shirt, too scared to meet her mother's eyes.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I did it," Leon raised his hand and hesitantly stepped forward.

"I… I accidentally knocked it over while playing with Rinia..."

Afterward, Rinia watched Leon get hit with a ruler. The guilt crushed her, but she still couldn't bring herself to tell the truth.

---

Age 10

At school, when Rinia accidentally scribbled on the teacher's desk and ruined her skirt with marker ink...

Her brother came forward and said he told Rinia to draw on the desk to make it look nicer. He got suspended for three days.

And so time passed. Every time she made a mistake, if Leon saw it, he would defend her—or even take the blame.

At age 16, Rinia asked Leon why he always helped her.

Leon simply smiled and said, "Because I'm your big brother." So confidently.

Rinia looked at him with her beautiful, curious eyes, but after hearing his answer, she felt a bit disappointed.

Maybe through all their time together, a forbidden seed had been planted in her heart—desiring something more than just being 'siblings.'

She knew her feelings were wrong, and tried to get rid of them by making Leon angry.

She had seen in movies how the female lead would often break up after arguing with their lover. So she tried to make Leon angry, hoping it would kill those improper feelings.

She planned to scribble and cut up Leon's schoolbooks.

The plan worked—Leon scolded her, but it wasn't enough to erase her feelings.

So she continued acting out in front of him whenever she could.

She even released Leon's beloved bird—the one he bought with five months of allowance and savings—causing him to spiral into depression for four days.

But when she was scolded by their mom, dad, and older sister, Leon still defended her:

"Actually, I was planning to let it go too. It's okay... Birds need freedom too..."

No matter what she did, her feelings for Leon never faded. They only grew stronger.

That made her even more observant of Leon—his annoyance, anger, concern, sadness, and despair.

After failing to suppress her feelings over and over again, she decided to accept them and start a new chapter.

That's why every moment with Leon filled her heart with happiness. And sometimes, Leon would even pamper her.

Whenever she had the chance, she'd act clingy with him, using the sibling bond as an excuse.

But recently, she could no longer bear being 'just siblings.' So she did what she did.

---

"...Rinia, this is taboo. If Mom and Dad saw you like this, they'd be furious..." Leon pushed her away and tried to reason with her.

He didn't blame her for what had just happened. To him, she was still the same innocent little sister who didn't yet understand what love truly was. He wanted to explain that forbidden love was not only taboo—but potentially more dangerous than even same-sex relationships if exposed.

"You need to let go of your feelings before they destroy you. You don't want to be hated by your friends—like those people, right?"

"..."

Rinia looked at her brother gently and smiled.

"I don't care what others think. I only care about what you think. Even if Mom, Dad, and Sis oppose it, I don't mind—so long as you're with me."

Rinia held Leon's cheeks and leaned in again.

Their lips touched, and she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, refusing to let go.

Leon's once kind eyes were now filled with rage. Cold and furious.

He pushed her away and snapped:

"If you keep doing this, I'll really get angry!"

Leon stood up and looked at Rinia, who was still kneeling.

"Get out..." he said gently.

"Brother, you should understand how I feel. Am I not sincere enough? I'd do anything for you..."

Rinia didn't move—she simply stared at Leon.

"GET OUT!" Leon pointed at the door, his eyes burning with anger.

Tears streamed down Rinia's cheeks. She turned around and slowly walked out of the room.

Once the door closed, Leon took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

He slumped down beside his bed.

Remembering the tears in his sister's eyes, he covered his own with his arm.

"Was I wrong?..."
