Nappa grimaced in pain, his hand still pressed against his stomach, the pain from the kick he had just received still lingering. What the hell had just happened? He had had the upper hand in the fight just a minute ago, and now a colossal power had suddenly emerged from the Saiyan standing before him.
The only other times he had felt such an overwhelming presence were with King Vegeta and Vegeta himself. Could it be that he had reached their level? No, that was impossible; he refused to believe it.
"Get up!"
Ridlay's voice cut through Nappa's thoughts with a cold, commanding tone. His eyes shot a piercing glance that sent a shiver through Nappa's entire body. The Saiyan struggled to his feet, his body battered from all the blows he had received since arriving on Earth.
He spat out what looked like a mixture of saliva and blood, his dark gaze fixed on Ridlay. He resumed his fighting stance and let out a battle cry before charging toward Ridlay like a cannonball. The young Saiyan waited until Nappa was within range before stepping aside, letting the colossus's punch pass him by. He then grabbed Nappa's arm and swung him over his back, slamming him heavily against the ground, a crater forming on impact.
Ridlay jumped back to put some distance between himself and Nappa, who got back up, a groan of pain escaping from between his clenched teeth. Relentlessly, he charged at Ridlay again with a left hook, which Ridlay immediately blocked with his arm, but Nappa didn't stop there and threw a right hook, which Ridlay also blocked with his other arm.
With his arms unusable for the moment, Ridlay braced his left foot against Nappa's chest and performed a roundhouse kick, his right foot striking Nappa's jaw.
The blow destabilized Nappa, and Ridlay wasted no time in placing his hand on Nappa's shoulder, using it to lift himself into the air and deliver a knee strike to Nappa's face, forcing the Saiyan to turn around from the force of the blow.
With his hand still on Nappa's shoulder, Ridlay used it as support to do a somersault over Nappa and land in front of him.
He then clenched his fist with all his strength and delivered a devastating blow to the elite Saiyan's abdomen.
The pressure of the attack forced Nappa to spit out a spray of blood while Ridlay's fist was still lodged in his abdomen. Nappa tried to retaliate with a backhand punch, but Ridlay ducked, dodging the attack. He then spun around, sweeping Nappa's feet off the ground with a roundhouse kick, causing him to fall forward.
The Saiyan didn't even have time to hit the ground before Ridlay's kick crashed into his stomach with enough force to send him flying like a rocket. After his well-placed kick, Ridlay disappeared like a mirage, reappearing in the sky just above Nappa before delivering a violent elbow strike to his back, sending the Saiyan straight to the ground. But once again, Ridlay disappeared and reappeared on the ground right next to Nappa, who was about to hit the ground.
Time seemed to stand still when Nappa saw Ridlay right next to him, his arm wielding a devastating punch that crashed straight into Nappa's face, the impact creating a roaring explosion like a thunderclap as Nappa was propelled like a rocket and crashed into several pillars.
After several seconds, the dust and tremors caused by their fight disappeared, revealing Nappa on his knees, his body covered in wounds and dust, his breathing ragged, his eyes struggling to open.
How was this possible? How could he be in such trouble? Who the hell was this guy? Several questions crossed his mind when he heard footsteps in the distance. He finally opened his eyes to see Ridlay walking towards him, his presence as threatening as a predator closing in on its prey.
He had to do something, or else this would truly be the end for him. Nappa's brain raced as he remembered a technique he had. An attack so powerful that it could defeat Ridlay in one blow. It was the same technique he had used earlier to wipe out an entire city, but it would take time to charge, given that he had used up a lot of energy since the start of the fight. He had to buy some time.
Ridlay stopped when he was only a few meters away from Nappa.
"Time to finish this!" said Ridlay, his tone cold as always.
"Wait! Before that, I'd like to ask you a question..." asked Nappa.
Ridlay raised an eyebrow when he heard this but said nothing, letting Nappa continue.
"I was wondering... we Saiyans are all born with black hair and black eyes... but you... you have brown hair and yellow eyes even though you're also a Saiyan... could it be that..."
Ridlay paused, closing his eyes as he considered whether or not to answer Nappa.
After a few more seconds, Ridlay opened his eyes again and spoke.
"It's because I'm half Saiyan... my mother was a Saiyan and my father was human," he said in a detached tone, as if he didn't want to give this information any more importance than it deserved.
"I see... so that explains it..."
"Do you have any more questions, or are you ready to finish this?"
"No... I'm ready... READY FOR YOUR MISERABLE END!!!"
Nappa had just finished charging his attack and stood up suddenly, clenching his fist, leaving two fingers extended. He began his attack when Ridlay disappeared and reappeared in front of him in the blink of an eye, grabbing his two fingers in mid-motion.
"Huh?"
* CRACK *
" AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!"
Nappa let out a scream of pain as Ridlay broke his two fingers. He stepped back, holding his hand, which was shaking with pain.
"Are you really stupid enough to think I wouldn't notice you gathering energy during your desperate attempt to distract me with your question?"
Nappa let out a growl of frustration at the failure of his attack.
"Try something like that again, I dare you!" Ridlay taunted.
Nappa jumped back to put some distance between them.
"That's it! I'm going to hit you with everything I've got and finish this now!"
A significant amount of energy began to gather around Nappa, causing the ground to shake and gusts of wind to blow in all directions. A yellow kikoha formed in his mouth and quickly grew in size.
Seeing this, Ridlay let out a small sigh before placing his arms horizontally in front of him, his hands opposite each other. A blue kikoha formed in his left hand and another yellow kikoha in his right hand, the white aura around him growing dramatically in size.
He then raised both hands above his head, merging the two kikoha into a single kikoha made of blue and yellow energy.
Nappa, having finished gathering all the energy he needed, wasted no time and expelled a gigantic beam of energy from his mouth straight towards Ridlay.
* BREAK CANNON*
Seeing the beam heading towards him at terrifying speed, Ridlay brought his hands in front of him, and a gigantic yellow and blue beam emerged from his palms.
* TRANSCENDENT BLAZER *
The two beams collided head-on, creating a shockwave so powerful that the ground was completely destroyed, and the rocky structures around them were completely swept away by the blast of the impact as if they were nothing.
The two beams fought against each other, trying to gain the upper hand.
"RRRAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Nappa unleashed all the energy he had, determined to destroy Ridlay once and for all.
For his part, Ridlay remained calm, his gaze focused and sharp. He then closed his eyes, clearing his mind, took a deep breath before reopening his eyes. The aura around him grew once again.
Ridlay was pushed back slightly as his attack doubled in volume and power, gaining the upper hand in the fight and repelling Nappa's attack.
"What? What the...?"
Nappa's eyes widened as he saw his attack being repelled back at him.
"No... No, this can't be!"
*BOOM*
Nappa was hit by his own attack and Ridlay's attack at the same time. A colossal explosion formed, and everything within the radius of the explosion was destroyed.A blinding flash illuminated the entire area as the rumble of the blast made the ground shake as if the earth would split in two. Had the battle reached its peak?
