Kusuo knew that if a ninja's chakra pathways were destroyed, their career as a shinobi was over.
"Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu!"
Just as Natsuhi was about to break free, a barrage of water bullets rained down on her.
"Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu!" she yelled. A continuous stream of fireballs erupted from her mouth, colliding perfectly with the incoming water bullets. The air hissed with the sound of vaporizing water.
Kusuo nodded in satisfaction. Natsuhi's skills had clearly improved.
"Who are these people? Even with so many of us attacking at once, we can't seem to contain her," one of the hidden Anbu muttered. They had spotted Natsuhi, but they were unaware that Kusuo was watching their every move from nearby. Though the forest was shrouded in mist, Kusuo's Transparent World allowed him to pinpoint their locations.
After unleashing her fire jutsu, Natsuhi finally broke free from the ground.
"These few are yours. Can you handle them?" Kusuo asked, appearing behind her.
"Don't worry, Lord Kusuo. Their strength is not enough to harm me." Hearing her confidence, Kusuo nodded and leaped onto a nearby tree to observe. He was curious to see the current extent of Natsuhi's power.
The flames around her gradually died down.

In the shadows, the Land of Water's Anbu squad conferred.
"Captain, what should we do?"
"I thought I saw two figures earlier."
The Anbu captain's face was grim. "We have ten men. We'll split into two groups. Four of you will search for the other figure. The rest of you, with me. We will kill the one in front of us."
Their mission from the Mizukage was absolute: kill anyone who entered this territory. The dense mist prevented them from getting a clear look at their targets. If they had known one of them was Hatake Kusuo, they would have fled without a second thought.
"My combat experience may be limited, but you are no match for me. You might as well come out," Natsuhi declared confidently, forming hand seals as she stared into the mist. "Fire Style! Great Fireball Jutsu!"
A massive ball of fire instantly evaporated the surrounding steam, revealing the figures of the hidden ninjas.
"So you've found us. You won't be leaving here alive," the Anbu leader stated. "Our orders are to eliminate any ninja who comes here. Since you've arrived, you can prepare to die." He gestured, and several of his men charged forward while he and the others went to search for the second figure. In his eyes, Natsuhi's skills were no match for his men; a few of them should be enough to take her down.
"Fire Style! Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu!" Natsuhi unleashed another barrage of fireballs at the charging Anbu.
"Water Style! Water Dragon Jutsu!"
"Water Style! Water Bullet Jutsu!"
They immediately countered with water-style techniques. Natsuhi focused her attention on the ninja using the Water Bullet Jutsu.
"Fire Style! Great Fireball Jutsu!" An even larger fireball shot from her mouth, and the targeted ninja vanished in the flames. A satisfied smile touched Natsuhi's lips. It seemed that yesterday's rest had allowed her to gain much better control over her fire chakra.
Her satisfaction was short-lived, however, as the remaining ninja surrounded her.
"Peacock Method!"
Two wings of pure flame erupted from her back, causing the Land of Water ninja to hesitate.
"Who is this person? Our mission briefing said nothing about someone like her." One of the Anbu now realized the true difficulty of their task. But it was too late to retreat.
"Die!" an Anbu shouted, swinging his longsword as the others supported him with ninjutsu.
But against Natsuhi, their efforts were futile. In a matter of seconds, their bodies lay motionless on the ground.
Natsuhi stood alone, leaning against a tree trunk, panting heavily. Although her body hadn't suffered a backlash from the fire chakra this time, the years of training with the Star's power had taken a toll.
Pfft.
A spray of blood escaped her lips. She quickly wiped it away.
Meanwhile, Kusuo stood on a branch, facing the Anbu captain.
