Chapter 7 - Run For Your Life, Young Man!

"STOP! Let me go! I never agreed to join your stupid Pika Pika club!!"

Sebas wriggled like an eel in Buki and Tokki's iron grips.

"It's Peek a Boo, rookie," Buki growled, his face twisting into a terrifying grin as he forced Sebas' finger toward the club application form. "Get it wrong again, and we'll have... words."

"Yeah, rookie!" Tokki chimed in, his bear-like frame effortlessly pinning Sebas down. "No take-backs! A real man commits!"

"WHEN DID I EVER AGREE TO THIS?!" Sebas shrieked.

Suddenly, his face went pale. His body went limp, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed like a ragdoll.

"W-what?!" The two muscleheads panicked. Buki caught him. "You okay?! Do we need an ambulance?!"

Sebas gasped weakly, mumbling something inaudible.

"What was that?" They leaned in close—

"PSYCH!**"

Like a carp leaping from a riverbank, Sebas twisted free and bolted, bare feet slapping against the floor as he shot out the door.

"THAT LITTLE—!" Tokki's face darkened like an oncoming storm.

"Nobody makes fools of us!" Buki cracked his knuckles. "Time to teach this rookie some manners!"

Sebas sprinted down moonlit streets, his green T恤 flapping like a surrender flag.

"Huff... Should be safe now... puff... What kind of dumbass club is Peek a Boo anyway? I've got missions to do!"

Then—*THUD. THUD. THUD.*

The pavement trembled. Sebas turned.

Two shirtless titans charged toward him, muscles glistening under streetlights.

"GET BACK HERE, ROOKIE!"

"WE JUST WANNA TALK!"

"DEMONS!" Sebas screamed, kicking into overdrive.

The night echoed with the sounds of pounding feet, ragged breathing, and one very violated freshman's soul leaving his body.

By all accounts, Sebas had no business being athletic. In his past life, he'd been a perpetually drunk graphic designer—alcohol poisoning his liver, deadlines destroying his spirit.

Yet here he was, fueled by pure adrenaline, legs pumping like a hunted hare's as he tore through the streets.

"Damn, Buki! This rookie's got stamina!" Tokki cheered, jogging effortlessly behind him.

"Told you he was special!" Buki grinned, not even winded.

Meanwhile, Sebas' vision swam. The pavement felt like quicksand. Every muscle screamed.

Two days. That's all it took for this world to give him more cardio than his entire previous life combined.

Just as darkness crept into his vision—

"Izu City Kōban"

The familiar police box sign blazed like a holy beacon. Salvation!

With a final burst of speed, Sebas crashed through the glass door, collapsing at the feet of a spectacled officer.

"O-Officer!" he gasped, tears streaming. "Two perverts are chasing me! Help!"

The cop adjusted his glasses, eyeing Sebas' disheveled state (green T-shirt, floral boxers, zero dignity). "I can believe someone's a pervert here..."

"They tried to force me into their Peek a Boo cult! They're still out—"

"Hold it."

The officer suddenly blocked the exit, expression shifting.

"Sir... yesterday, by any chance..." He chose his words carefully. "Were you... exhibiting yourself on the beach in an... unrestrained manner?"
